Galaxy Z Flip8

I had a flip 5 before this, and the sturdiness of this one is WAY better. It's lighter, thinner, yet feels more stable! The hinge was never a problem on my 5, and it seems to be even smoother on this one, and no screen creased yet, although, that never really bothered me anyway. I have recently discovered "Bixby" as well. I always knew it was a thing on my old phone, but never used it, as I thought, well, if I have Google, why do I need Bixby?? It is SO GOOD! Now I can send a WhatsApp, or add to my notes, see the status of my washing machine etc, all without typing a thing! All in all, I love it, thanks!

It easily fits into small purses, making it ideal for women. ​Display: The screen is sharp and delicate with rich, vibrant color saturation. It's a joy for media consumption. ​Camera: The camera quality has improved a lot compared to previous generations—crisp details and great colors. ​Hinge & Durability: The hinge damping feels exceptional; opening and closing is sturdy, smooth, and solid, giving a great sense of build durability. ​Responsiveness: The system is lightning-fast and highly responsive, with silky smooth scrolling and transitions. ​Battery: With regular-to-heavy use, it needs to be charged twice a day, so keeping a charger handy is recommended.

After upgrading from a Flip to a Fold to last year the Samsung Galaxy Z flip8 is a much welcomed return to functional flip phones - no gimmicks. The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It's not bad by any means but is also nothing to write home about and will need a charge before the day is up as well as overnight. Genuinely a fun and functional flip phone - would recommend!

I recently upgraded from the Motorola RAZR plus 2024 and I've got to say, while having a similar look and feel, the overall experience is mind boggingly different. From the extra half centimetre of width to the customization, cohesiveness and ease of the Samsung family. Truly a beautiful product inside and out. The camera is amazing, the display feels ingrained and like that of a regular no flip phone. I can't attest to the durability as it is protected like fort Knox on a bad day. Battery is ok from what I've experienced so far but I assume it will get better as it learns my usage patterns.

so I had the flip 4 and went back to tablet phone (s25+) to see how i would get on. needless to say I went back to the zflip 8 and, so far, I love it. easy to use main screen and great screen on front which can do so much and I'm still learning! the main screen is very responsive and battery life seems good although I'm still to test properly . the feel of the phone is so much better than the flip 4 and s25plus, much thinner than both of these making it unobtrusive when in pocket . hope the durability of the hinge has improved as this was the only thing that let me down on the 4 version. quality of pictures and videos are great for a phone. so far so good and so glad I switched back to a flip.

I absolutely love my pink Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8! The 512GB storage is brilliant, the battery lasts me all day, and the display is honestly out of this world. The front cover screen is so impressive—I can check notifications and use different features without even opening the phone! It’s incredibly fast, responsive and smart. The AI features are amazing, and having Gemini, Bixby and Google makes everything so quick and easy. It feels really durable, and the hinge is smooth and sturdy. People are always shocked when they see me flip it open—it’s such a showstopper! The pink colour is gorgeous, and the whole phone is so pretty and Y2K. It’s perfect for a girly-girl like me. Best phone I’ve ever had! 💗🎀

I received my flip 8 a few weeks ago and am very happy with it... the battery life is substantially better than my flip 6! As always, the display is crystal clear and the completely flat screen is great!

I had pre-ordered my phone the day after unpacked and received it on launch morning. I know that in theory there are very few changes from my zflip 6, but, there are certainly a few. The phone feels lighter but sturdier. I bought a really bad case that the phone kept falling out of and was afraid a few times that I would have shattered the screen, but, not a scratch. Speaking of screens, now that the cover screen is full, it is beautiful. Add to that that there's now native support for apps on the cover screen topped with how bright and vivid the screen is, and it becomes a work of art. Going back to the cases the hinge and the magnets took some getting used to, but, after a few hours, they really are so much better. I've also found that this phone gets nowhere near as warm as my zflip 6, even under heavy loads. Finally, the battery is so much better. Maybe it's software, but, the phone lasts pretty much all day while it's got a few things going on in the background and in always surprised at how quickly it charges. All in all, for a basic foldable, this really is a wonderful buy.

The display is vibrant and clear, and the responsiveness is buttery smooth. Battery life easily lasts full day, and the hinge feels strong and durable. Highly recommend!

Ive been using the galaxy z FLIP 8 for a few weeks now, im impressed. Coming for a 6 and now to the 8 the clunky previous design has had a much needed up grade. Its sleek, the front screen is larger making it more accessible and allows improved app usage. Much more practical and fun to use, and genuinely the upgrade was needed. The camera quality hasn't changed which would be my only downfall for such an expensive device.

The device is nice and looks very durable . Light weight and easy to use too. I love the display and the physical appearance.

I love how simple the hinge and folding is. Very smooth action. Im also a fan of the cover screen as it makes checking my notifications a lot easier. You wouldnt think it due to its slim shape but it does actually have a strong battery and i love a device that will last a day on one charge.

So far so good, only had it for a few days and I'm loving how long the battery lasts... Only thing during the initial setup, I had to search how to bypass the SIM activation, since with my Carrier you can't transfer the ESIM, you need to download their app and upload a new ESIM there. I'm really hoping the factory screen protector doesn't fail within the first year like my Flip 5 did... Loving the feel and operation of the phone so far, I'm coming from the Google Pixel 9 pro XL, which has the better camera... Yeah, I wish the Flip 8 had a better camera by now.

Have bought a succesion of galaxy z flip phones, love them! Latest one is an upddlated bundle of excellence, will never return to th 'house brick' device shape again- the portability, condensed functions are equal to any slab!! Long may they evolve!

Bought this a bit more than a week ago. Already had a flip previously (z flip 6) and i really see a difference in smoothness of the system aswell as the overall hinge fold and crease looking even more minimal. Phone is surprisingly slimmer but supposedly still as sturdy as previous ones. I will say battery life doesn't seem "incredible" its really good and last me the whole day but i did wish for it to have improved more as compared to my older phone, theres no big remarkable difference. Night Camera really seemed to have improved which im really happy about. Day 3 of using my phone i had it plugged while using it and a pop up message of the phone being too hot did come which had me surprised but nothing more than that. A week in i did come through some small lags of system slow down but nothing persistent. I love the flip because of the size convenience so i am still happy with the purchase, though i do hope the lag i got wont mean anything later on.

Upgraded from a lavender flip 5. On a user side, not many noticeable changes for my day to day use, but I really love the new external screen size; it makes the phone more practical to use, and is more like I was envisioning when the clamshell style was first announced. One difference I wasn’t really expecting is the change in material of the coloured panel at the back. The flip 5 is a glossy glass, while the new flip 8 appears matte. I did have issues with scratching on my previous phone, so I'm hoping this will hold up better.

Samsung have done very well with the ZFlip 8. I purchased the original Samsung flip and it had some faults with the screen due to the fold. Went to a standard phone but recently purchased the Zflip 8 and I can see the difference in quality. Samsung has developed & enhanced everything to produce an amazing phone with the interactive front screen and so many features. I am loving having the flip again. It's compact, easy to use with vibrant screens and so many many features. Well done Samsung. Customer for life!

So happy I got this phone. Battery life is great only charge once per day. Love the display options you can have the cover wallpaper different than your home screen. The hinge opens and closes smoothly and my hopes are that this will keep it durable. Quick response to touch

the most surprising thing is that it’s really light! i think i would have to get used to how long the display is, and it feels a bit less sturdy than an IPhone, but i really like how compact and small it is. the small outside screen is really cool and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it. The hinge seems sturdy and you cannot see a crease in the screen at all. I thought the crease would be more prominent and i would hope it stays clear over time. Not sure how the battery is, but if it lasts longer than an iphone, that’s great!

I got this phone because I wanted more customization. I've been a Pixel user for years and still absolutely love their products, but the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has really impressed me. The customization options are amazing, and the cover screen is genuinely useful. The battery life is also good, especially considering the changes Samsung made to make the phone thinner. I've dropped it multiple times, and it has been surprisingly durable. I definitely wouldn't recommend testing that theory, but I have been impressed with how well it's held up. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that I've been spoiled by the Google Pixel Pro camera, and the Flip 8 simply isn't a camera-focused device. The camera is perfectly fine for casual photos, but if you're like me and really value having a great camera, I'd skip the Flip and go straight for a Galaxy Ultra or Pixel Pro model. Overall, it's a fun, whimsical phone that's great for everyday casual use. If customization and the foldable form factor appeal to you, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

I have used flip 4, 6, 7 and now I have 8 which to me is better than the previous models as its supposed to be. I can feel its thinner and lighter and processed things faster. I got the pink colour which i like. Overall i am very happy with the phone.

I’ve been a fan of the Galaxy zFlip series for a while, I have bought a zflip5 in 2024, and I’m really enjoying my new Z Flip8. I love the compact foldable design because it fits easily in my pocket, while still giving me a full-sized screen when I open it. The phone feels smooth and premium, and the cover screen is really convenient for quickly checking notifications without opening the phone. I’m also impressed with the camera and battery life so far. Overall, I’m very happy with my zFlip8 and it has been a great upgrade for me!

I've only had the phone for about 2 days but it's been working great. the screen display is more flush with less of a dent in the middle of the screen which is great the battery life is moderately fine I find.

I got this phone through my cell provider and have been using it for about a week now and so far its exceeded my expectations.

I brought the Flip 8 a week ago and I'm happy to see it a lot better than my previous Flip 6

Upgraded from a flip 6, I would struggle to go back to a 'regular' now. I love that the smaller screen has so much more use on the flip8. I've never had any issues with the creases in either of my flips. Once you have a good case on it, there shouldn't be any reason why it should break or get damaged! I have marked it down a star as it does feel a lot bigger than the flip 6, my personal preference is for it to feel more compact. Whilst it is thinner, it does feel a lot wider, especially with a case on.

I upgraded from a Flip 6 to a Flip 8 about a week ago and completely love my new phone. Setup was effortless. My apps and data transferred from my old to new phone perfectly. Everything works exactly as it should. The slightly larger phone still fits easily in my purse or pocket. Photos are crisp and clear. I am really enjoying the expansion of functionality that is now available via the front screen, I can't think of a downside and having used it for a week, I would absolutely buy this phone again.

Absolutely love my new phone. It's so cute and pocket sized aswell as really customisable from the cover screen to the apps. Battery is great and the screen is seamless, no crease hardly at all. I do wish there was a better camera on this model but it's still pretty good and takes nice photos. I've had the flip 6 aswell and with both of these phones ive never had an issue with the hinge or responsiveness. The durability is pretty good as I've dropped it a few times and it's never stopped working on me.

I have had samsung phones from the beginning and always been so happy with them. Over the years there battery have got better. Now I have to use my phone at work I was over the moon when they brought out the flip phone. I can not fault them and now with the 8 it is even better, you can not feel or see the crease which has never bothered me anyway. The hinge is lot smoother on opening and shutting, the screen feels more responsive. The phone feels more durable I am so happy with it well done samsung

Samsung really nailed it with the Galaxy Z Flip 8. The battery life is solid and easily keeps up with everyday use, the display is absolutely gorgeous with sharp colors and smooth performance, and the overall durability feels much more refined and reliable. The hinge is also excellent—smooth, sturdy, and feels very well built. Overall, Samsung has done an amazing job with the Flip 8. Great battery, beautiful display, impressive durability, and a fantastic hinge. They really nailed it this time!

This is my fourth Flip phone. It arrived yesterday and I've been delighted with this iteration. The battery life is excellent and I'm impressed with the new crease hinge. It appears to be even more flexible. It has improved responsiveness which is delightful. Overall I'm delighted with my new Flip 8 and I've recommended it to several friends and family as their contract have expired. Long live the Flip phone as it fits perfectly into each of my handbags and is amazing fit in a pocket.

You cannot tell me otherwise that this isn't the perfect phone. After several iterations this is the peak of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8. Everything is convenient, comfortable and so customisable. There are just so many features and benefits of this form factor. Just from quickly changing my music or making payments. Each time I use my phone I can feel the envy from others around me. Especially when I show off that the cover screen while taking photos and they can see themselves.

Been using my new Galaxy Z Flip 8 for almost 2 weeks now and I absolutely LOVE it!! I love the small, lightweight and compact size for my pocket at work, the battery is great, and the pink colour is so cute! The display is as wonderful as always from Samsung. Easy open/close, with a more durable hinge, and a barely noticeable crease.

It's a phone with all the standard phone features but by far the best thing about this phone is the fact that it can fold up into a smaller size resulting in a less bulky item in your pocket or bag. The front screen that you can see when the phone is folded means you don't have to unfold the phone to access various apps and messages. This is super convenient. I'm still relatively new with the phone and I'm discovering really cool features every couple of days. Would recommend.

Aesthetically pleasing phone and very functional - quick and responsive phone that can do everything you need - take your own selfies and keep the phone folded or open into a 6.9” full phone. 1tb storage upgrade would be great but maybe next year - 512gb will have to do for now. With a colour selection that is good I’ll stick to graphite. Battery life is excellent ! The fold seems very stable and opening the phone 100 times a day for five years is said not to damage the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is a really impressive phone, especially if you want something different from a normal smartphone. Its foldable design makes it compact in your pocket, while the 6.9-inch main display is bright, smooth and great for watching videos or scrolling. Performance is also excellent, and the 4,300mAh battery is a noticeable improvement for everyday use. (Samsung it) However, it isn’t perfect. The cameras are good, but the ultra-wide camera isn’t as strong as what you’d get on Samsung’s top non-folding phones. The biggest issue is probably the price, especially because the upgrades over the Z Flip 7 aren’t huge. (Popular Mechanics) Overall, I’d recommend the Z Flip 8 to someone who really wants a stylish, compact foldable. But if you already own a recent Z Flip, upgrading probably isn’t necessary.

Did the pre-order. Picked up phone 5 days ago. This is my 3rd of the flip series. So far I am enjoying the larger screen yet thinner body and lighter weight compared to the 4 and 6. Battery has been notably better than the 6 was, but it is still quite new. Too soon to say how durable it Will be but I am not hard on phones.

Recently got the flip8 to replace the flip3. So far its been a huge difference. The only downside is the inclusion of AI features. Most of them are annoying, invasive and incorrect and it would be nice if they could be switched off

This is my first flip phone and I'm really impressed and happy that I traded in my S24 to get it. The ease of use, the way it snugly fits in both my hand and pocket is a real pleasure added to this, It's weight is minimal. I like the two taps to wake it up while folded, and the way it opens up to a 6.9 onch screen. The sharp display and zoom functions of the camera I also find impressive. The extra security features and responsive screen, the ability to add extra memory for more intense app usage are great functions to have too. The hinge mechanism on my Galaxy Z flip 8 also feels durable and well constructed. The battery lasts me a full day at moderate usage and charges at 25w, which is fine for my usage. There are still more features for me to discover over the coming days and yet this phone is now my new favorite device.

I purchased this phone to replace a Samsung S21. It loaded up easily and fits into my pocket. I like that I can add apps to the front screen and use it without opening it. It is so light as well. I highly recommend having a look at this phone as it is a real beauty.

The pictures quality is very good. It's very sleek and appears to be adaptable to unisex. In fact, it seem more feminine in both looks and handling as it looks like portable female face enhancement kit when handling it. The outer screen is wide enough and makes the display more readable unlike previous versions. When unfolded, the inner screen is wider than the previous versions and gives more space to do work.. It does not show any wrinkles when unfolded The execution speed is good for me as I used it mostly for my office jobs. It has long operation times after changing which means that the battery is good. There is no noticeable line of fold on the screen when unfolded. The hinge support easy flipping when unfolding. The phone appears durable like other Samsung brands However, it does not support stylus Pen as did my Fold 4

I upgraded to the Flip8 from the Flip3 and I must say, the experience is worth it. The 8 is lighter, wider, crisper and has a much more seamless folding bezel with a satisfying, audible and soft close. Aside from the obvious benefits to upgrading from an older generation (battery life, bigger and better quality display), the flip8 feels like a more thought-out, premium device, as the hardware no longer has the tempered glass that made the flip3 feel slippery and fragile, and has a vastly improved IP rating of IP48, where the 3's IPX8 rating meant the screen is now lost to peeling from the protective film and scratches. The fold crease is also much more subtle. Overall, I'm very happy with my choice, and look forward to properly saying goodbye to the 3 once retailers start selling Flip8 cases and the screen protector comes back in stock!

Love the display has such a good proportion then my older z fold!

It's been about 2 weeks of using the Samsung Z Flip8 and so far it's been a pleasure. The cover screen has been set up to pretty much do everything I need without needing to open the main display. I've been a Samsung user for over 20 years and as usual this is a great device and perfect for anyone that like smaller and compact units.

Hinge is solid, cover display looks stunning and the internal one is a pleasure to use. Battery I reach the night with not problem. Great device!

Larger battery than the 6 giving a longer time between charges. Noticably less of a crease than on the 6 .Flex window now more usable than before with more apps that can be used on it. Which should mean less opening to full size to check notices therefore improving the durability of the hinge. Have so far found both main & flex screens give a real feeling of responsiveness. Have added flex window protector & a case to keep my flip 8 safely.

I love my new flip 8. I previously had the flip 7 and have had a flip since the flip 3 . The flip 8 is thinner , lighter and has more options on the cover screen than the flip 7. I find that the crease is even less noticiable and the hinge seems nice and tight. The display is crisp and i love the AI wallpaper options as i can just describe the pic i want and it appears! I am sure i will find more things i love about this phone. The main reason i love a samsung flip phone is because you can easily slip it in a pocket or a small handbag. I have only had it for two days so cant really say much about the durability of this particular model but having had 3 previous models i can say that i usually upgrade after 2 years( though i only had the flip 7 for a year ) my phones are always still in great condition and working perfectly well after 2 years.
