  • Q. What is Hybrid HeatPump?

    Hybrid HeatPump preheats air for faster drying, then uses a heat pump to recycle the warm air, ensuring energy efficiency while protecting clothes.
  • Yes. With the SmartThings app, you can start or stop cycles, change settings, monitor progress, and get alerts from anywhere. Even when you’re away from home.

    Note: You must download the SmartThings app available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.
  • AI Dry+ uses sensors to detect fabric type, moisture, and load size. It automatically adjusts the temperature and cycle time to dry clothes gently and thoroughly1.
  • To clean and maintain the dryer filter, follow these steps:

    • • Open the dryer door and pull the filter up to remove it.
    • • Separate the internal and external filters.
    • • Remove lint with a brush.
    • • Rinse the filter if needed.
    • • Let the filter dry completely before reinserting.
  • Samsung dryers are designed with energy-saving functions, such as AI Energy Mode. AI Energy mode in SmartThings Energy lets you easily check your daily, weekly and monthly power consumption. It also estimates your monthly electricity bill. When selected, it intelligently helps you reduce energy use.

    Note: AI Energy Mode must be activated through the SmartThings app available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-FI connection and a Samsung account are required.
  • The Samsung dryer’s Bedding cycle detects blanket thickness (thin, normal, or thick) and moisture level, then adjusts the drying time to deliver quick, even drying.The Bedding drying cycle can dry up to 4 kg of dry comforters.
  • When your Samsung dryer is stacked on a compatible washer, MultiControl™ lets you operate both appliances from the washer’s control panel. This means you can start, pause, or adjust dryer settings without reaching up to the dryer or using a separate remote—ideal for tall stack setups.
    • • Condenser dryers: heat the air to dry clothes and collect moisture in a tank or drain it away.
    • • Heat pump dryers: recycle warm air by using a heat pump, drying at lower temperatures.

    Heat pump dryers generally uses less energy than condenser dryers.
  • Use the Self Clean feature to keep your Samsung dryer fresh. This high-temperature cycle removes any moisture left after drying, preventing odors and buildup. Select Self Clean from the dryer’s menu, and it will run automatically.
  • Auto Open Door opens the dryer door at the end of a cycle to release humid air, reduce odors, and prevent musty smells if laundry is left inside. Turn it on in Settings → Auto Open Door on the dryer or in the SmartThings app available on Android and iOS devices.

  1. Only available when drying a single type of fabric. Must check the clothing care label before using the AI Dry+ cycle. Based on an advanced AI algorithm, utilizing moisture content and drying temperature data, it can detect four types of fabric: denim, towels, normal and delicates. The fabric detection capability was tested on a single type of fabric with a dry weight of 3 kg, after using the default spin-drying strength of a paired washing machine. Results may vary based on actual usage.
