What Galaxy AI Features Come
with the Galaxy S Series?

If you own a Galaxy S24 or anything newer, Galaxy AI is already sitting on your phone. The Galaxy S26 series leads the current lineup, and every S Series generation since the S24 gets a version of it. You tend to notice it in small ways, like a reminder about tonight's dinner before you leave the house, or a quick answer when you circle something on screen to find out what it is. This guide covers each feature, the phones that run it, and what you need in place before you start.

What Is Galaxy AI on
Samsung Smartphones?

Galaxy AI comes built into your Galaxy smartphones, tablet and watch. There's no app to download and nothing to switch on first. Most of what it does lands in everyday territory, whether that's tidying up a photo before you post it or getting you through a conversation in a language you don't speak.

You won't always catch it working. Plenty of it happens quietly while you get on with your day. The rest sits behind a small four-pointed star icon that turns up in your Gallery, your Notes and other supported screens, and one tap shows you what it can do at that moment.

Samsung doesn't charge for the basic features, though newer services may carry a price later on. What actually reaches your phone depends on where you are, the model you bought, the One UI version it runs and occasionally your network, so check the feature list against the exact handset before you commit to one.

Which Galaxy S Series
Phones Support Galaxy AI?

Galaxy AI begins with the Galaxy S24. In Pakistan, that covers the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 FE, along with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24 FE across the wider Galaxy S Series.

Owning one of the seven won't hand you every feature. Four things decide what turns up on your particular handset:

  • Your model: newer hardware picks up the newer features first, so a Galaxy S26 Ultra manages a few things a Galaxy S24 FE can't

  • Your One UI version: a good number of features arrive with the software, so an update can hand you something you didn't have yesterday

  • Where you are: Samsung opens features up market by market, and Pakistan doesn't always get everything on day one

  • Your network: a handful of features depend on the carrier your phone was sold with

Wherever a feature is limited to certain models, the sections below say so. Still deciding which phone to buy? The guide to the best Samsung S Series phone goes through them properly.

Galaxy AI Features for
Everyday Productivity

Six of these features deal with the ordinary business of getting through a day, from the morning commute to the paperwork you keep meaning to file.

Now Brief and Now Bar

Now Brief feeds you short updates through the day instead of one long summary. The weather lands when you wake up. Your schedule turns up before you need it, with the address and time of a dinner you booked last week. Start a workout and a playlist to match appears on its own, and at night you get a recap of how the day went. Wear a pair of Galaxy Buds and the same briefs come through as audio, which helps when you're driving or already out the door.

Now Bar keeps a live line of it on your lock screen. A cricket score as it updates, the song currently playing, a delivery on its way, all of it readable without unlocking anything.

Now Nudge

Now Nudge pays attention to what you're doing and offers a shortcut to the next step. Sorting out weekend plans over text? A button appears that opens your Calendar with the details already pulled from the conversation. Ask a cousin for photos from a trip and it works out which ones you mean, then opens them in your Gallery ready to send. Autofill suggestions come from the same place.

AI Select

AI Select looks at whatever is on your screen and offers you something useful to do with it. Turn a clip into a GIF for the group chat, or lift the text straight out of a picture. It came in with One UI 8.5, at the same time as Now Nudge.

Since AI Select rides on the software, the One UI version on your phone decides whether you have it. The One UI page lays out what each release brings.

Circle to Search with Google

Circle to Search with Google turns anything on your screen into a search. Draw a circle around a photo, a product or a line of text with your finger or the S Pen, and the answers come back without you leaving the app. Prices, similar items, where to buy it, videos about it.

Spotted a whole outfit you like? On a Galaxy S26 Ultra you can circle the lot and get every piece identified on its own, from the shirt down to the shoes, in a single search.

Bixby

Bixby follows normal conversation, so you can describe a problem the way you'd describe it to a person instead of learning the right phrase first. Ask it to change a setting, explain how something works, or sort out whatever is misbehaving, and it deals with it on the spot. It searches the web for you as well, which means your questions don't have to be about the phone at all.

Document Scan

Point your camera at a document and Document Scan spots it, then captures a clean copy. The page gets straightened out, and shadows, creases, curled corners and the odd finger in shot all disappear. Save it as a JPEG or a PDF and you're done. Receipts, admission forms, a page from a textbook, none of it needs a scanner any more.

Galaxy AI Features for Communication

Calls, conversations and anything you write get a hand from Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S Series, with live translation running across 22 languages. The counts in this section are current as of March 2026.

Call Assist: Call Screening and Live Translate

Call Screening answers unknown numbers for you, asks the caller what they want, and puts a short preview on your screen so the decision to pick up stays yours. Spam and scam calls get ended before they ever reach you.

Live Translate is the other half of Call Assist, translating a call while it happens. It earns its keep on a call with a supplier abroad or a relative who never learned your language. Live Translate covers 22 languages, Call Screening 13.

Interpreter

Interpreter translates a conversation as it happens. The translation reaches your Galaxy Buds while the text appears on your phone, and a split view puts both languages on screen at once so each of you can follow along. At a hotel desk in Istanbul or a shop where nobody shares your language, it does the talking. Coverage runs to 22 languages, a few of which want their language pack downloaded before you travel.

Writing Assist and Transcript Assist

Writing Assist reads back what you've written and fixes it, shortens it, changes the tone or sums it up. When there's no time to write anything at all, it offers you a reply you can send as it is. Coverage runs to 41 languages.

Transcript Assist does the same job on recordings, turning them into text and then summarizing or translating on a tap. A two-hour lecture becomes a page of notes you can actually revise from. It works with recordings made in Samsung Voice Recorder, Phone, Notes and Interpreter, as long as the file stays under three hours, and it supports 22 languages.

Galaxy AI Camera and Editing Features

Your camera gets help twice over. The AI ProVisual Engine works on the shot as you take it, and the tools in your Gallery pick things up from there once you sit down to edit. For the hardware side of it, the guide to the Galaxy S25 camera specs explained goes into detail.

Photo Assist

Photo Assist lives in your Gallery, so you edit a photo where it already sits. Drag an object somewhere else, resize it or take it out altogether, and the gap behind it fills itself in. Describe the change in plain words, something like putting a party hat on your dog, and there it is. A reference image works in place of typing. Style reworks the whole picture in one move when you want a different mood on it. Photo Assist covers 41 languages.

Creative Studio

Creative Studio is the making side of things. Feed it a sketch, a photo and a line of text, and out come sticker sets, greeting cards, invitations, profile cards and wallpapers. Build a sticker set for a wedding or a birthday and it saves to your Samsung Keyboard, ready to drop into any chat. Creative Studio covers 41 languages.

Audio Eraser and Auto Trim

Audio Eraser splits the sound in a video into six categories, voices, music, wind, nature, crowd and noise, and lets you turn each one down or take it out. Wind ruining a clip from the beach, or a crowd drowning out your friend at a concert, comes away cleanly while everything else stays where it was.

Auto Trim puts the highlight reel together for you, pulling the good moments out of a long video and building them around whatever you were doing at the time. Clips can run to 90 minutes each and 180 minutes combined, up to 60 clips in a project.

ProScaler and the
AI ProVisual Engine

ProScaler sharpens what you see on screen, lifting the picture as far as QHD+ depending on the resolution you've set. You get it on the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The AI ProVisual Engine works earlier than that, going over each frame as it's captured so colors, texture, detail and skin tones hold up, including in the dark and at a distance. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, AI ISP now reaches the front camera as well, so your selfies come out closer to how you actually look. The engine itself runs across the current Galaxy S Series, Galaxy S25 Ultra included.

How Easy Is It to Switch to
a Galaxy S Series Phone?

Switching over is less work than most people expect. Find out what your current phone is worth on the Trade-in page, and whatever it comes to gets knocked off the price of the new one.

Smart Switch handles the rest. Contacts, photos, videos, messages, notes, your calendar and your app data move across by cable or over the air, and it works whether you're coming from Android or an iPhone. The Switch to Galaxy page tells you what makes the trip and what to sort out beforehand. Order straight from Samsung Pakistan and Buy Direct Get More sets out what else comes with it.

Getting the Most from Galaxy AI
on Your Galaxy S Series Phone

Four things, broadly, are what Galaxy AI does for you:

  • Keeps you ahead of your day: Now Brief, Now Nudge and AI Select put the next thing in front of you, on the lock screen or inside the app you already have open

  • Answers whatever you're looking at: Circle to Search with Google, Bixby and Document Scan take what's on your screen, or in front of your camera, and give you something back

  • Gets you past the language barrier: Call Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist handle calls, conversations and recordings across 22 languages

  • Finishes your photos and video: Photo Assist, Creative Studio, Audio Eraser and ProScaler cover the editing, from lifting an object out of a shot to cleaning up the sound

Sign in and most of it is running already.

What you end up with comes down to the phone and the software on it. Galaxy AI starts at the Galaxy S24, and newer hardware picks up the newer features first, which is why ProScaler stops at the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Your One UI version decides whether AI Select and Now Nudge are there at all. Language support is worth a look too, since Photo Assist, Creative Studio and Writing Assist reach 41 languages, Interpreter, Live Translate and Transcript Assist reach 22, and Call Screening and Now Nudge reach 13, as of March 2026.

The basics cost nothing. A Samsung Account and a network connection cover most of what needs setting up, and your data stays yours through the Personal Data Engine, KEEP and Knox Vault, with a privacy setting that lets you choose whether processing happens on the phone or in the cloud. When you're ready to move, the Trade-in valuation and Smart Switch take care of the practical side, and the guide to the best Samsung S Series phone will point you at the right model.
