[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not sure that I would like this particular Flip phone but I have. It is very versatile and easy to use. It took a little bit of time to get my settings to how I like them but once these were set in place it was very easy to use my apps and all the functionalities. It fits perfectly in my pocket and easy to take out and use the full screen but still can use the necessary functionalities when folded. The operating system was smooth and fast and very easy to move between the apps and use my productivity tools. I was worried it but not be durable and could be flimsy and weak in places but this was not the case. The next time I upgrade I will get the Fold phone as I am more confident in its design and durability.

Love the outer box and then inner box, the black colouring on the box shows quality, fits like a glove and you can feel the suction as you gradually open it - you even get that bit of tension as you await to see your new product. Just doing the usual power up and configuration then onto pretending to be on Star Trek and using the phone by far the best flip yest I had a flip 3 and this is so much faster ! and feels lighter to use I just watched a movie and barely touched the battery

Awful design! Purchased as I loved the look of the Flip 5, however it was a BIG mistake!! I have had nothing but problems and trying to arrange a repair is near impossible. Hinge faulty so phone does not sit flat and rocks like a boat when on a flat surface. The fold line across the middle of the phone is now very sharp too. The phone is 12 months old and been like this for a while. Battery life unworkable. Not the quality or service you would expect from a Samsung product. Stuck with this for another 2 years, due to being in a contract! ☹️

I have struggled a bit transferring data and details from my old phone but I'm not blaming the new phone for that just my lack of technical nous. I will visit a store for advice. I was at a wedding over the weekend and took lots of photos which are very sharp and I also received a lot of admiring comments over my new bit of kit. So far I am very pleased with my new phone and I am sure once I have mastered it further that I will be even more satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was dubious about having a folding screen in a phone as I was worried it would be at a sacrifice to screen quality but my concerns were laid to rest as soon as I unfolded it. The screen clarity and brightness are very good. You can feel a bit of a ridge where the fold is however you soon get used to it. The size of the phone is ideal both folded and unfolded. All in all its a good phone that suits my needs well. I've now had chance to test the Z flip 5 and at first I thought it was more or less the same but the rear screen being bigger makes the world of difference. It makes taking photos so much easier. I find I often just use the small screen to view my messages and then open it up to reply if needed. All in all I much prefer the Z flip 5.

It feels premium in the hand, the new hinge exudes quality and creates barely any screen crease, the screen is brilliant and the battery good enough for a day. The cameras are not class leading but the AI they are coupled with makes for excellent daytime results, usable night photography and intuitive, powerful editing. What this handset proves is the flip phone has matured. Samsung has done almost everything right here, and the new larger flex screen is no longer a gimmick, offering a perfect balance of unintrusive usability without having to open up the main screen. This is Samsung's best flip to date and in my opinion the best flip available without exception.

I got the phone and it won't pair up to my car phoned samsung 5 times ever time get it to work goes off once I get of the phone to samsung must be a faulty one and won't pick up Internet when I'm out and about won't change songs eighter. I'm really missed of paying 4 a new phone and it not working properly plus have time 2 spend all day on phone to samsung. First day 2 hours 45 mins between o2 and samsung. The last day was 2 hours. So all I want is another phone how hard is that. My phone is brand new and not working right

I really love(d) this phone, I no longer have it because I wanted a phone with longer battery life, but I am considering buying it again because I miss it so much. the phone I have now seems to have the same battery even though its bigger. the pictures were lovely and although it dropped and broke, samsung quickly fixed it for me. I love how compact it was and I actually used it less because of the flipping design, which was great for me. I would definitely buy it again, especially if the battery somehow could be expanded

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received on Saturday on opening I was impressed by the clam shell phone. After hunting down a charging cable as the one supplied was not your usual size usb the set was easy and good with being able to connect your old phone. I was amazed by the quality of video quality and sound of movies. The Samsung pass feature for fingerprint access is nicely placed on side of phone making it easy to use. Again the sound from such a small item is the best I have ever listened to. The picture quality on the photos and the zoom is the best. I would highly recommend this phone and say Samsung have gone beyond. I am only half way through the various features and looking forward to exploring more of the phone. I have shown the phone to a few people and again the initial response was wow

After just 3 weeks of using my flip5 2 fine lines appeared on the screen just where the phone folded. After calling Samsung to complain they advice they will replace it. But to replace it I had to send mine to them and now I have to wait 2 weeks without a phone, even though they have got my money. My husband did say not to buy one because they are rubbish but I liked the shape. To say that I'm angry for having to wait 2 weeks without a phone it's not enough said. Definitely wouldn't advise anyone to buy one.

Only to find out that because the back glass was broken it would not cover the screen any longer. The worst part is you can see the impact point on the glass where my partner dropped something on to the phone after 2 months of owning it. Now Just A paper weight. Beautiful Phone if you want something just to play with at the weekends, However can not handle every day life !!!

The same great flip form factor is great! So compact and makes me feel really nostalgic. Pair this with cutting edge features like a high res front facing camera and a huge screen on the cover that doubles as a selfie camera. The hinge feels super secure as well. Front screen is a bit of a finger print magnet, but nothing a micro fibre wouldn't take care of. Battery is about the same as previous models and works well with moderate usage for the whole day. Device is snappy and responsive with the most demanding tasks that I have thrown at it. So far this phone is well worth the price tag! Same great Samsung quality with all the best features of a cutting edge device.

The front screen is bigger and you can use it while the phone is flipped, take photos with the main camera, answer the phone and use the apps . You can add to the front screen any apps you like for a quicker use. The camera is amazing with so many features. The design of the phone is elegant, slim and light. I am very happy with my purchace. I've loved it when I've first seen the advert and I said to myself that I must have it. I have managed to buy it and... wow. This phone is unbelievable elegant, so thin and beautiful. As all Samsung phones, it's easy to use and the camera is great. I like it as I can use some features when folded. Just love it!

Great little phone until the screen failed at the fold in the middle. Made a cracking noise and the screen went unreadable and no touch function. Still in warranty, but due to a tiny mark/scuff ,samsung will not repair. So repair is more than the phone is now worth!. Can't even trade it in as it needs to be factory reset which is not now possible. So basically throw away. Thanks for that samsung. Any small marks or scuffs/impressions invalidate all warranty i am told.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's taken just a few days to get used to the change from a standard smartphone but I'm loving it, it was well worth the learning curve. My previous phone to the Flip 5 was the Samsung Galaxy S22 and I'm a big Samsung user, I got the orginal Galaxy S1 and was bowled over then. The Flip 5 is just the perfect device, it fits in my hand folded very well, proud to hold it when i'm out and about, I know it's got lots of protection against knocks and moisture so another plus, oh my there so many pluses. My hands are small enough to message on the front screen which is so great, the other widgets are surprisingly useful, loads of customisation and that is just the front. Opening up you have this crisp clear screen, I call it my cinemascope screen. There's a lot to keep you busy with this phone. What more could you ask for.

I wanted Z flip model since it came out . I wated patient untill now hopping the "teething " problems would be resolved by now . Unfortunately, despite being protected by the case, small pieces of metal chipped off by the fold . I didn't notice it ,closed the phone only to find out that it pierced the screen, resulting in black dot and green line across the screen. I love the phone and very careful with it .But if something like this happened after a 2 months

I really love how compact it is in my pocket, it now feels like a bizarre concept NOT to fold to phone in half inti a handy size haha!! The front screen is really handy to use the calculator, make calls, and use the alarm clock without having to open it up at all!! As with all Samsungs I've had it's very touch responsive and fast, and has a decent camera!! As a first time flip phone owner the hinge resilience test is still to come, but I love it so far!!

Easy Flipping, perfect in my hand. Love the way I answer my calls by just flipping over. The cover screen is nice for quick and simple tasks like checking weather, calendar, notifications, messaging and mamy more. This is completely customisable so I can choose the apps I want to see here. The smart switch made my life easy to transfer over almost everything from my old samsung phone. The camera quality is impressive with 12MP back cameras and a 10MP front camera. The battery charges quickly but depend on what charger is used, it lasts reasonably well with a small battery. 3 years warranty is an added bonus and peace of mind. Overall it's a great phone and I love it, couldn't resist myself to show-off..!!

Updates from the ZFlip 4 mean that it no longer has a hinge gap when closed and the new front cover screen allows many functions of the phone to be accessed without even needing to open the phone. Phone is fast, powerful and battery life is a reasonable 2 days unless you are a heavy user. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Flip is addictive I must say and a girls new best friend! Easy to fit even in the jeans front pocket, evening and events small purse, in a running belt, fits just fabulously. As a owner of the first model of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and than Galaxy Z Flip 3, I must say that the new Flip 5 really comes up with some easy to observe upgrades. Firstly, the amazing cover screen that allows you do pretty much everything on the go, than the sleek improved look with no gap due to the upgrade on hinge, amazing storage up to 512GB, increased water resistance and long waited dual sim functionality. In my oppinisn, this is the closest to perfection phone ever. Only coming possible upgrades I could see would be the camera design and properties. So far, I just love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've recently got an upgrade from Z Flip 4 to Z Flip 5. The cover screen is the biggest advantage I can see from the new phone. I am very excited to be able to use it for more functions like maps, texting, etc. I hope there will be more apps added in the future to maximise the potential of usage for the cover screen, as it means I will not always have to flip the phone open and surely that means longer battery life. The other nice thing is the no gap design in the Z Flip 5 when the phone is folded. It is small change but actually make the phone looks a lot more sleek and improve the screen protection from dust and dirt. On the other hand, there aren't much new features that make me wow, Z Flip 5 still has the same battery capacity, camera, main screen's display, etc. It will be great to see some big changes in the next model so that it's worth the upgrade.

Fingerprint reader unreliable, doesn’t recognise face most times. Google assistant won’t work when phone closed, even by using hack of uninstalling updates to Google App, works then doesn’t. Have to use Bixby, which isn’t the best. Ok beyond that, lucky it’s a second phone, wouldn’t use as main phone too frustrating. Even google pay can be troublesome so switched to Samsung Pay, not compatible with all banks in UK.

I have had my phone for a year and 1 month I am very carful with it and looked after it really well. Woke up this morning and along the fold my phone has lines and spot like it has been damaged from being folded and open. I love my phone but feel that only after a year of owning it the screen should not just get damaged for no reason especially when I've looked after it really well and ensured to not cause damage.

Don't even consider purchasing a Z Flip5 Seven months after purchasing, the foldable screen cracked through the middle when I opened one too many times. Samsung have gotten out of their responsibilities of replacing the screen as there is a 1mm mark on the phone, and so are saying it is out of warranty. They have admitted there is a manufacturing issue with the phone on more than one occasion

I was looking at getting a new phone as mine tend to to have a three to four year life cycle. I tried other makes with similar screens etc but this felt much more sturdy and I paired it with the watch 6 classic. I'm very happy with it, it is sturdy and the battery lasts the day no matter what I have been doing. Charging is very quick and the customisation options for actions has allowed me to set it up exactly as I want. The screens are comfortable to look at and use and Samsung do supply options to further enhance use of the outer screen although this becomes a necessity to access some apps without opening your phone. In this area I am looking forward to seeing how @samsunguk evolve the use and offerings for the outer screen. Storage is good and along with connectivity and battery charging speeds I am very happy with it. Besides who doesn't love being able to flip a phone closed to end a call.

the screen just stopped working and Samsung don't oblige their warranty if there is even a. slight scratch to the case- unethical and on the verge of illegal as against the consumer right acts which says mobile phone less than 2 years are covered if faulty but Samsung will claim anything to get out of this- I'd avoid them again for this reason. A really unreasonable company

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impressions of the Flip 5 are very positive. Firstly, the materials that make up the phone (metal frame, glass, and a very sturdy hinge) are of undoubtedly high quality. Specifically, the hinge and crease are a big improvement from the Flip 4. Also, in comparison to the Flip 4, the cover screen is larger in the Flip 5, making it a lot more enjoyable and user friendly. Furthermore, the camera feature is better than I expected from a flagship phone and the selfie setup is second to none. The mere fact that it fits into my purse is very handy and attractive. Thanks to the new chipset, you get a bump in battery performance. The battery may not be the greatest for heavy power users, but for me, it gets me through my day of average use with 50% or more remaining. While it could always be better, personally I am happy with the battery life. Overall, the phone is very promising and a definite compliment getter.

I was on the fence about this phone, but decided to pull the trigger on the impulse! Slightly disappointing is the number of features for the second screen, especially when open there seems only to be the photo preview where it shows your subject what they look like. The day to day use of the phone is extremely enjoyable, with the hinge feature being both satisfying and sturdy. The phone is actually extremely powerful, able to easily run games. The screen's aspect ratio is surprisinglg good for wide screen movies etc. One feature I really enjoy is the separation from your phone when closed. The physical movement to open and access the device is a psychological and physical barrier to overuse, which I really enjoy. Finally, the crease in the middle of the screen is not noticeable when looking at the screen dead on, or unless you touch it (which is surprisingly infrequent). Would be nice to see this even less in future models.

I find it very easy to use its a great phone only thing I'd say could do with improvement is the cameras if it had the same as the s20 upwards phones with the better zoom and quality it would be even better and be able to expand the memory with a memory card but other then that it's a good but I'd still give it 5 stars as it's still a really good phone

I love that I can easily fit this phone into my front pocket of my jeans, and I know it's safer than being in my back pocket. I do like how you can fold it and have it sat on the kitchen side while cooking and I can facetime on of my kids hands free. I still have a lot of features to explore and try out but so far I absolutely love this phone

I love the zflip 5. Firstly it's stylish and compact design, yet once unfolded there is a lot of usable screen space. Compared to the Zfold, it is light and easily holdable. The camera/video is great, I have been using it for tik tok videos, live and pre records. It has a fantastic battery, it's a stylish, smart workhorse and I love that.

I love this phone, I have the zflip4 from the release date and passed that on to my mam who loves the phone and has no problem with it at all. I have had the zflip 5 for 2 month's now and its been amazing I down sized from my s23u as these phones fit in your pocket perfect and not scared of someone stealing it out your back pocket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had an android phone since the Galaxy s4 Active, the flip 5 was the first phone to make me want to move back and whilst it was a pain to move away from my current device, it was seamless using Samsung's transfer app, pulled all my photos and contacts and everything i needed and was very quick. I use G-suite for work so this has been perfect, the integration is fantastic. I have kinda got over the novelty of the flip aspect of the phone now, although slamming the phone shut to end a call is still fun! reminds me of my days back in school when i had my Samsung e720. Which also has a front screen and camera. I think the best aspect is how much less space it takes up when folded, I tend to use the front screen for replying to all my messages and even scrolling socials. This may have helped contribute to the stella battery life i am seeing from this phone. I think it is a fantastic bit of kit and am looking forwards to testing more of its features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely skeptical about the curved screen and flip phones but trying out the flip 5... I am left speechless. It is an incredibly practical mobile phone, from the small screen on the top... which makes it easy to navigate through calls, text, alarms, WhatsApp, maps and even YouTube. To flipping it open and using it as your regular phone and being able to easily navigate through daily tasks. I love the feature where when taking a picture, you can view it and the opposite person can also see to be sure, it's the perfect angle. Selfies are phenomenally easier with the smaller screen and being able to keep it at places when folded. I can't emphasise enough, it is not bulky... easily fits in my pocket and very handy to go around. All in all it is great to have a refreshed and upgrade to the mobile phone industry... alongside getting the classic feature of opening to receive a call and flipping it close to end a call. :) I am an extremely satisfied customer.

Only had the phone a few months and once again like my 2 previous flip phones the centre fold area developed a black line and then a green stripe from the centre upwards and eventually the black line spread across the whole screen making the phone completely useless as the phone just goes haywire when touched

The phones very fast and the size is great it's not too small but not too big perfect to put it in your pocket. It's very usefully especially if you don't want to open it to check the time, you don't have to since it already shown as well as the date and your battery percentage so overall I think it's a very usefull and great phone especially for the price you get great quality it's one hundred worth it's price would definitely recommend you getting it if you want a cute and handy phone The front monitor is very helpful, you can answer the phone while reading news and report photos. What bothers me the most is this line on the bend of the phone, where sometimes nothing is available on it. The battery only lasts 20 hours, even when I'm not calling. There is no good case for all phones that get removed quickly or fall off. I am satisfied with the quality of the photos

It is not fit for the purpose Loved its design - I bought it after Z flip 4 - The screen stopped performing - I bought the Z flip 5 then that was said resolved the screen issue - The screen stopped functioning after two months - I have Samsung care - They failed to resolve the issue after two weeks.

Unfortunately the phone I purchased developed a black dot at the crease/fold area. This started within 4 months of owning the phone and was initially very small. Would advise not to wait and flag immediately. I'm now 9 months in and Vodafone are not willing to help stating I am out of warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first folding phone, having used only fixed screen phones so far. I’ve waited until now as I thought the technology needed time to mature. It’s clear from first use that the fit, finish and quality of the Samsung Flip 5 is up there with the best. This thing exudes quality and both screens are beautiful to view. The outer screen is now a much more useful size compared with the Flip 4. The inner screen has a much less noticeable crease, when folded each side of the screen now meets perfectly without a gap. In use I see zero lag, apps are sharp and snappy and the camera quality is pretty good too, not quite flagship levels but great considering the size of the phone. Battery life has been pretty good so far. I’m a heavy user, I usually get to the end of a day with 10-20% battery remaining. Having wireless charging is a bonus too, as you can quickly and easily top up when needed. Overall this is a great phone, it’s fast, reliable and has a great form factor. I can highly recommend this phone.

I love the phone, but natter how careful you are the screen will start peeling right in the middle where the phone bands. As there is 2 years warranty , at the second screen issue will be no warranty and therefore the phone will need to be replaced before the 2 year expires.

Not as good as previous Samsung phones I have had, the first one was faulty from the outset and had to be replaced, the second one drops connections to the internet and the phone reception is diabolical, unfortunately tied into a contract so will have to put up with it.

If I could give this a zero score then I would have. This is one of the most shocking handsets I have ever had! I am advising other customers not get the z flip 5, as it is too delicate and not worth paying the money. This is such a rubbish handset. Not recommended!

I have had two of these phones and each time after 6 months the screen protector fails, Samsung only cover replacement once now as this defect is a regular occurrence. If you replace the inner screen protector yourself then it invalidates the warranty. DO NOT BUY.

Loved the phone initially but the green line appeared down the centre so now can't see the screen very well, white line appearing down fold flickers on and off. Won't charge properly due to always thinking moisture in phone when there is none. Very dissapointed

Good build quality. Batteryvlife good for a day. Front screen useful especially when you download ' good lock' which enables most apps to launch via front screen. Nornalnscreenbis good too. No issues. User type non gamer but use a lot all-day for other stuff.

Easy to use and has very good performance but it has a very irritating fault!!! When on charge or folded it loses the ability to identify incoming call phone numbers!!! I doubt its fault on just my phone and this is the only thing that leaves me disappointed.

I was so excited to buy flip 5. It was smooth and everything was fine. After two months it shop working and I tried to fix the problem they were saying its panel issue and they were asking for double amount. From that day I start hating samsung flip series.

Screen has gad a green line from the top of the phone down till the crease, I was told that just because it was stlii in its 12 month warranty that they will send it away for repair but they said that there is no guarantee that it won't happen again.

Okish I keep losing photos in Google photos but they are in galaxy photos which I don't really use. The main front screen when closed, I can answer a call but can't cancel a call after I finish the call. I have to wait for the off call to hang up

A pritty machine but really disappointing. The inside screen cracked without a scratch on the outside. Other brands replace quickly , Samsung would not replace it. Luckily, I had insurance . A lesson learned . Stay away from samsung flip phone

Small ounce plastic snapped off by hinge Samsung refuse to fix wear and tare complete joke been in case since day 1 clearly design fault and look on Google ! Lots of same issues! I will never buy a Samsung again and I have had one since the S9!

Yea it a great phone but it's just a little bit too big for me when I have the protector phone case on that's the only bad thing I can say about it. So I'm loicoking for a smaller samsung mobile phone t device if you can recommend any to me me

The Best Upgrade Yet! Everything I was hopping for and more. The use and versatility of the cover screen is superb. I would have to do a podcast to list what I have found possible to achieve with this great new edition to the Z Flip family.

I quite like the functionality of it. The fact that I can check most stuff on the cover screen has allowed me to not be on my phone as much, which to me at least, is a plus. However, a phone is designed to be used, so let's get into that. I find it easy to use, the new AI update was easy to get around and I like the new features. Although, Bixby does get a false trigger often and struggles with complex commands a bit, for example, if I ask to play a specific song from a specific playlist in Spotify, it struggles with that, Google assistant seems to be on the better end for more complex tasks. Coming back to the phone, I really enjoy the cameras and the night mode is very very good, the picture quality is crisp and I have no complaints there. Call sound quality is very clear. As for battery life, the phone charges quite quickly and retains battery for good time, although if taking many pictures and videos, it falls rapidly, but that is to be expected I suppose. Build wise, I like how the phone feels in my hand, it doesn't feel big, or bulky, or heavy.

The phone was very good. I didn't have any issues with the display and also has a great battery life. The phone camera was pretty cool. The phone has a good performance for gaming and It also comes with top notch durability....

The convenient size. It fit easily in my hand and in pockets. I like the ability to answer the phone whilst it's folded. I always had a folding Motorola phone many years ago and an so glad that Samsung have the flip phone.

The first folding phone that I've had. It's fantastic. Great size when folded up in your pocket. Touchscreen works perfectly. Also when folded up the date snd time are displayed on the outside, which is a nice touch.

Can't change the annoying font on the cover screen if I use a photo. Screen fold seems bigger- not as flat as my old Flip4 - hopefully it won't t break this time that turned the phone off every time it was opened.

Fabulous display. Less impressed by the battery life..often less than a day. Excellent camera resolution. Still haven't figured out how to put apps on the outside display or upgrade to android 15 - is it possible?

Does not have good connection to Internet. Phone is made of glass, not gorilla glass as advertised. Dropped phone and it all cracked. Expensive repair. Lots of errors, on my phone and sisters. Would not buy again.
