Riding on the success of their leading regional newspaper and satellite channels, ETV Bharat came out with its latest offering of digital platform with the USP of hyper-localised content and unique offering of news and infotainment. ETV Bharat with its exclusive state portals and apps brought comprehensive coverage from 28 states, presenting in 12 major Indian languages.

The reporters of ETV Bharat had to cover 700 districts in remote areas of India for latest news. With news and updates pouring in, managing live news feed was becoming tough for the media outlet.

The process of sending the news from the journalist to the main news centre was also manual and tedious. Once the news had been captured and edited, the journalists used an expensive converter to upload it to the server. Carrying around all this equipment to remote areas was a hassle, and there was no way for the media outlet to track its employees in times of emergency.

Every reporter was given a Galaxy smartphone, which was used to record news, edit, and upload it directly to the media server
