  • A refrigerator can make different noises in various parts or situations, so it’s important to identify the type of sound, its intensity, and when it occurs.

The noises listed below are normal in Samsung refrigerators. If your appliance makes any of these sounds, they are due to its functions and operations, and do not indicate a problem or require inspection by our authorized technicians.

These noises do not affect the operation of your refrigerator.

  • If you’re having problems with the water dispenser on your refrigerator, you can use the following troubleshooting guide before contacting technical service, as the solution may be achieved through several steps.

  • Refrigerators generate heat during the process of cooling the air. To dissipate this heat, heat dissipation tubes are installed on both exterior side walls of the refrigerator, so when the appliance is operating, heat is produced on the side walls. Additionally, to maintain the cold temperature inside, the heat generated when the compressor runs periodically is released through the front and sides of the refrigerator. Therefore, this is not a malfunction.
