How to turn your Samsung Smart TV on or off using the TV’s Controller buttons

Important Notes:
- The position and shape of the Controller buttons may vary depending on your TV model.
- If the screen looks dim, check if the protective film on the SAMSUNG logo or the bottom of the TV is still on. Remove it if necessary.
Use the Controller buttons
You can turn your Samsung TV on or off using the Controller buttons located at the bottom of the TV’s frame. Depending on the model, the Controller button is located either at the bottom center or the bottom right of the screen. Using this button will open the Control menu on the screen when the TV is turned on.
Step 1. Locate the Controller Button
- Find the Controller button at the bottom of your TV's frame. It can be located at the bottom center or bottom right of the screen.
Note: The button's shape and location may differ based on your model.
Step 2. Turn the TV On or Off
- Press the Controller button to turn your TV on or off.
- When the TV is on, pressing the button will open the Control menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Keep pressing the button to navigate through the menu options.
Step 3. Turn Off the TV
- Navigate to Power off in the menu.
- Press and hold the Controller button to confirm.
Step 4. Use the Mobile Remote
- Navigate to Mobile Remote in the menu.
- Press and hold the Controller button to pair your mobile device as a remote.
Step 5. Use SmartThings
- You can use the SmartThings mobile remote by scanning the QR code on the screen with your phone.
