Unable to control or see devices registered in the SmartThings app

If it is suddenly unable to find your devices on SmartThings app, you can follow the below guide to resolve the issue:

Step1. Check the settings of your Wi-Fi AP:

1. If your Wi-Fi AP is configured to support the 5Ghz frequency band only, please change the Wi-Fi AP settings to support the 2.4Ghz band as well.

2. Check whether the AP name is hidden. 

If you continue to experience the same problem even after replacing your Wi-Fi AP or performing these checks, remove the devices and re-register them on SmartThings app.

Step2. Remove the devices from SmatThings app.

To remove the devices from SmartThings app follow the below steps:

1.     Tap ¨Devices¨ to see your devices.

2.     Press and hold the device you want to delete.

3.     Step 3. Tap ¨Edit¨.

4.     Step 4. Tap ¨Unpair device¨.

Step3. Re-register the device following the initial device registration procedure.

To re-register the device on the SmartThings app follow the below steps:

1.     Tap on (+) at the top of the screen.

2.     Tap “Device” to add a device.

3.     Select the way you would like to add the device.
