How to add and manage events using the Calendar app on your Samsung Galaxy phone
You can add events and manage your schedule more effectively using the Calendar app on your Samsung Galaxy phone. The Calendar app provides several convenient ways to create, repeat, share, and delete events so you can keep track of important dates and plans with ease.
How to add an event
You can quickly add an event by opening the Calendar app and entering basic details, or you can tap the plus icon to add more detailed information.
1. Add an event by entering details at the bottom of the screen
Step 1. Tap Calendar.
Step 2. Select a date, then enter the event details.
Step 3. Tap the Save icon.
2. Add an event using the plus icon
Step 1. Tap Calendar.
Step 2. Select a date, then tap + icon.
Step 3. Enter the event details, then tap Save.
3. Add an event from the Calendar app icon
You can add an event directly from the Calendar app icon without opening the app first.
Step 1. Touch and hold the Calendar app.
Step 2. Tap Add event.
Step 3. Enter the event details, then tap Save.
4. Add an event using the Calendar widget
You can also create an event through the Calendar widget on the Home screen.
Step 1. Select a date on the Calendar widget, then tap + icon.
Step 2. Enter the event details, then tap Save.
How to add a yearly repeating event
You can easily register events that repeat every year, such as birthdays or wedding anniversaries.
Step 1. Select a date, then tap + icon.
Step 2. Enter the event title and date.
Step 3. Tap Don't repeat.
Step 4. Select the Repeat cycle and Duration, then tap < icon.
Step 5. Tap Save.
How to create a shared calendar and share events
You can create a shared calendar to manage schedules with other people. To create a shared calendar, you must be signed in to your Samsung account.
Step 1. Tap the Menu icon.
Step 2. Tap the Settings icon.
Step 3. Select Manage calendars.
Step 4. Select Create shared calendar.
Step 5. Enter Calendar name, then Tap Create.
Step 6. Invite people to shared calendar.
Step 7. Select the date and add an event.
Step 8. Tap My calendars.
Step 9. Select the shared calendar.
Step 10. Tap Save.
Note: You must be signed in to your Samsung account to create a shared calendar.
How to delete an event
You can delete an event by selecting a date.
1. Delete by long pressing the event
Step 1. Select the date with the event you want to delete.
Step 2. Touch and hold the event.
Step 3. Tap Delete.
Step 4. Tap Move to Recycle bin.
2. Delete by opening the event
Step 1. Select the date with the event you want to delete.
Step 2. Tap the event.
Step 3. Tap Delete.
Step 4. Tap Move to Recycle bin.
3. Delete an event using search
Step 1. Tap the Search icon.
Step 2. Enter the title of the event you want to delete.
Step 3. Touch and hold the event.
Step 4. Select the event, then tap Delete all.
Step 5. Tap Move to Recycle bin.
