How to set up SmartThings Energy and check for supported devices in the SmartThings app
If your Samsung TV has abnormal colors, a double image (ghosting), or the image looks blurry, you can fix these issues by updating the firmware for your Samsung TV. There are two ways to do this: either by downloading the firmware from our website and updating it with USB or by updating it directly from your TV.
Measure and check energy usage in real time with SmartThings Energy by setting up the Energy service in the SmartThings app.
After connecting your devices in the SmartThings app, you can check which devices are supported by SmartThings Energy. Supported devices include devices that provide energy monitoring and saver functions.
Note: This feature is available on Samsung Smart TVs released in 2022 and later.
Notes:
- When AI Energy Mode is turned on, the screen brightness is automatically adjusted to save energy after analyzing the brightness of the viewing environment.
- Depending on viewing conditions, the video may appear slightly dark.
- Energy saving mode does not run in modes that prioritize the viewer's visual experience, such as game mode or AI mode.
- If you are having trouble with your Samsung Smart TV, you can check for available software updates, as these may contain a solution to your problem.
- Device screenshots and menus may vary depending on the device model and software version.
