How we use your personal information

The collection, use, transfers and processing of your personal information will be governed by Thailand and South Korean data privacy laws (the "Relevant Laws") as applicable. We will only use your personal information as specified in this Privacy Policy and as otherwise permitted by the Relevant Laws.

We will only use the personal data we collect from you through the Website for direct marketing purposes where you have given us your consent to do so. If you are registering your details you may be asked if you would like SAMSUNG to send you information by email, by text message or MMS message and/or by post about our latest products, services, promotions and other offers. Consent is usually indicated by ticking an "opt-in" box although on some occasions we may rely on the "soft" opt-ins permitted by law. The opt-in boxes may or may not be split between different classes of information or different means of sending the information to you. If you have subscribed to receive direct marketing from us (by ticking an opt-in to receive further communications) but wish to unsubscribe then you should either:

  1. in the case of an email, follow the "unsubscribe" link or instructions which are usually to be found at the bottom of the email. If you receive material from us at more than one email address then you will need to unsubscribe separately from each email address;
  2. in the case of direct marketing generally, by sending an email to that effect via the "Contact Us" link.

Should you choose to unsubscribe in respect of direct marketing activities, as described above, your personal data will be removed from our database as soon as reasonably practicable.

SAMSUNG may also allow specially selected third parties to use your contact details to tell you about other SAMSUNG products and services (including special offers, competitions and promotions) that they think may interest you.

If either SEC or TSE sells all or part of its business, we may include your personal information as part of our assets. This will enable the purchaser to continue to provide services to you.

We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law, if a government or law enforcement agency requests that we do so, or if any third party reasonably requests that we do so in connection with any actual or suspected unauthorised or illegal use of the Services.

As explained above, your personal information will be stored on the Server, and, if you contact TSE, certain of your personal information will also be stored on the Servers. Also as explained above, any such personal information you provide to TSE and/ or any personal information you provide, amend or update online may also be accessible and/ or transferred to SEC in South Korea. By providing us with your personal information, you consent to any and all such access and/ or transfers.

We may share your personal information with SAMSUNG group companies (some of whom may be located in countries which do not have privacy or data protection laws comparable to the Relevant Laws). However, our group companies will only use your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Relevant Laws.
