Hi, I can understand the inconveniences that software issues may cause. Unfortunately, not all Windows 8 models are down gradable, see the licensing link below before attempting a downgrade. www.microsoft.com/oem/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/downgrade_rights.aspx#fbid=FGced79fcW3 How to check if Model is supported: 1. Update SW Update to Latest Version 2. Click Find Model 3. Input the model name in the top right of the window 4. For example, if you input "NP900X3B", you will see the different models listed. Click the correct one. 5. If the model is down gradable, you will see not only "Windows 8" but also "Windows 7" 6. If that model is not down gradable after inputting "NP900X3A", you will see "Windows 8" only. Windows 8 Downgrade Process: 1. Prepare to install Windows 7 Check list before installation Windows 7 installation DVD Need to backup all important data to external HDD or USB memory because all data will be removed. Connect power (The installation could fail in the event of power loss) 2. Set BIOS options Change BIOS option to Windows 7 compatible mode Enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2 key during the system booting after inserting the Windows 7 installation DVD into the system. In case of slate system, you can enter the BIOS setup pressing the Windows button on centre of bottom during the system booting. Move to ‘Boot’ menu using ‘→’ key and select ‘Secure Boot’ and then change to ‘Disabled’. Select ‘OS Mode Selection’ and change to ‘CSM OS’ Save all changed settings using ‘F10’ key and then boot to system. (Same as ‘Exit’ → ‘Exit Saving Changes ‘ → ‘Yes’) 3. Start installation ※ Note: Actions when the system cannot boot to DVD Enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2 key during the system booting after inserting the Windows 7 installation DVD into the system. Move to ‘Advanced’ using ‘→’ key and change ‘Fast BIOS Mode’ to ‘Disabled’ Move to ‘Boot Device Priority’ menu and press Enter key. Set the priority of ‘DVD’ as first You can change priority using F5/F6 key Save all changed settings using ‘F10’ key and then boot to system System Booting Start installation of Windows 7 by press any key when the ‘Press any key to boot from CD or DVD’ is displayed. System Booting Start installation of Windows 7 by press any key when the ‘Press any key to boot from CD or DVD’ is displayed. Select language, Time zone, keyboard and then press “Next” button. Type the product key on DVD if the product key screen appears. Downgrade without product key is available if the customer have Win 8 Pro license and want to downgrade to Win 7 Professional If the customer has retail Windows 7 DVD and tries to downgrade using it, product key screens will be displayed. Read EULA and check ‘agree’ check box and then select ‘Custom: (Advanced)’. 4. Installation ※ Need to backup all important data to external HDD or USB memory because all data will be removed. Select partition to install Windows 7. Press ‘Drive options (Advanced)’ Select partition and press delete button until only one “unallocated” remains. Create a new partition pressing “New” and setting the size for Windows partition. Press ‘Next’ button and start installation ※ Notice! Recovery function will not be available any more. Wait until the installation complete without other works. ‘Press any key to boot from CD or DVD’ message appears on display during the system rebooting. If you press any key in this step, Windows installs from beginning again. Register user information after finishing installation 5. Configure environment: Device driver that need to install vendor driver. (Not support for Win 7 inbox driver) NFC, GPS and Mobile internet device of Jones model, do not support Win 7 driver Visit the download web site of Samsung electronics (http://www.samsung.com/sec/support/download/supportDownloadMain.do) and download ‘SW update’ and then install Win 7 compatible S/W using ‘SW update’ Thanks
