After calibration, which was described in the instructions the machine was ready to go, the dials and screen light up a nice blue and are easy to understand and use. The machine is quiet on full spin and can take a huge 11kg load which is great for bigger households. I would recommend this machine

The performance of the machine is great too, and I love the jingle at the end of a wash, a nice touch. The installation was easy, I opted for the Samsung installation option which also included collecting and disposing of my old washing machine, so that I didn't need to deal with the hassle of organising the removal of the old equipment. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a reliable washing machine. The added 20 year digital inverter warranty, and the 5 year general warranty is also a nice touch for piece of mind.

This is a good sized washing machine. It has a big drum which is really handy for a family, and I think for smaller loads seems to therefore dry more effectively. It's got some good features (I haven't tried it yet but the steam clean sounds really handy). It's pretty straight forward to use like our previous EcoBubble with a few more settings. Areas for improvement - the door has a lot of play when locked. Some of the buttons (e.g. delay) are touch based as opposed to physical buttons so it's easy to accidentally make contact and add an unintentional delay. Finally it'd be nice if it had a front-loading section for missed stuff!

Not sure!! I have had Samsung products for years, I am on my 2nd Samsung microwave, 2nd American fridge freezer from Samsung and now 2nd Samsung washing machine, it’s very similar in looks and programmes to my last washing machine which was 8KG load, I went for a 11KG so I can wash my duvets, I thought I saw in the reviews that it would take duvets but no, it won’t even fit my double duvet let alone my king size duvet, it would probably fit my single duvet but then so did my 8KG fit it. I like that it’s very quiet, I like the steam function but other than that not happy, the drum definitely don’t seem any bigger than my 8KG to me.

Having previously had a machine from a different manufacturer that had, what they call, a Silent Inverter.... I thought that was the quietest washing machines could get. How wrong was I. The only reasons I know its on is, if I walk past it and happen to see the drum move or if it plays me a little song when it's finished (my wife loves the little tunes btw) Can't comment on all of the functions and programs as we haven't had a chance to use them all yet, but so far so good. The feet are extremely grippy, pushing it under the worktop felt very similar to pushing a car up a hill

We bought this machine about two and half months ago. Very pleased so far. It is quiet with an effective spin cycle and cleans well, The Huge capacity drum is very helpful as I have two school-age children both have lots of sports activities. The machine sings when it is finished. Some tips, Some washing cycle options have less than 1400 spin, but you can adjust it from the bottom below. I found the extra spin can save time (maybe energy bill as well) on the next step tumble dryer. Unlike my last machine, this one allows you to open during the program and add items.

Great capacity and we like the way it checks weight so you don't overload it. Superbly quiet and stable in operation. Slightly quirky because it sings to itself to celebrate the end of a wash with a hauntingly familiar tune I can't quite name. Working out the icons was a bit of a challenge but found the full manual online. It has a good range of programs including steam which should help with our family allergies and there are options to customise the wash too. The black surround on the door certainly makes a statement. Our old machine had a small door and the wash basket used to fit underneath now the huge door means having to put the washing basket up to the opening after releasing the door but loading and unloading are easier.

Put on a load and forever get the UB error message the load is not ‘balanced’ enough to spin. Wash… slowly half turn, half turn, half turn (trying to eaqual out the already equal load of clothes and doesn’t spin dry and not an ‘equally balanced load’. So, while it’s a nice quiet machine, it’s hit and miss whether it will actually spin dry any loads Have to download as doesn’t come with printed instructions. The icons are absolutely mind baffling. What does the icon mean?? No idea, run to google and try to find the panel display icons. Very very unclear and I would Not purchase if you’re elderly and want a straightforward washing machine.

After my washer died I found this one online. It was such a a good deal and came with free delivery, installation and removal of my old machine. It also came with 5 year warranty which is great. It was delivered this morning, my 4th load is in now, and I love it already. It's so quiet, I can only hear it in the kitchen, my other one could be heard in the front street!!! The clothes are smelling fresh and clean when they come out and the spin works fabulously. Haven't quite worked out all the settings yet, but that's tomorrow's job.

The Samsung washing series 5 has a known batch fault and it can't spin properly. Best to by a Hotpoint washing machine. I have had such a poor service from there Philippine help desk that just doesn't seem to work. If only the British technical team could deal with the problem it wouldn't be a bad thing but when they have to go back through to the Filipino ladies and men who just cannot do any more than what their computer tells them everything goes astray. A brand New machine I have only just purchased I'm deciding to take it to the scrap metal man to get rid of it after paying out 499 pounds as fighting back and forth with Samsung has dragged my health down. The washing machine doesn't run quietly as it says and it doesn't spin properly so not fit for purpose.

Very much like the quietness of the machine, the large drum and the drum clean cycle. It was easy to install except when it came to moving it under the counter space. The old machine, an earlier version of this new one, was more manoeuvrable across the floor. However, all not lost as the top surface area "sticking out" provides a useful shelf to load/unload the Samsung dryer above! I shall not worry too much especially if this machine life as long as the last one, 10 years without issue:)

The machine washes the clothes very well and it has enough options to allow a wash to be configured correctly. However, it is very noisy at most stages of a wash and it is very much noisier than the machine it replaced. The documentation provided with the machine is poor and it is difficult/impossible to learn what each of the programs actually does e.g. the Eco program sounds like it should be very useful but there is no explanation as to why it is fixed at a 60 degree temperature.

So far really happy with the washing machine itself, however it comes with hardly any instructions and so don't know what most of the features or settings are. Also it isn't listed on the product support part of the website and so you cant download instructions for it. The closest you can get is a 9kg machine that does have some button differences. How to turn the sound off appears to be different between the 9kg model and the 11 kg model. Very poor from Samsung.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a great product, 11kg machine has a big enough drum, it has self-cleaning cycle to use without the need for chemicals, it cleans the detergent drawer itself effectively with no trace of detergent or softener left (all I do is remove it to get a bit of excess water out so it dries quicker). It plays a melody at the end of the cycle. Some programs don't let you increase the temperature higher, that is a bit annoying, otherwise great machine.

Having just replaced an old noisy machine, the quiet buzz of this machine is blissful! The 11kg drum capacity means the whole family’s washing can be done in one go. A good range of programmes too. The only downside was that I had to resort to you tube to find where the right buttons were to calibrate the machine. The product booklet sent, and also linked via the pdf code, was generic and had different symbols to this machine.

I love everything about this machine! Bought to replace another Samsung washer that lasted 14yrs! This is so quiet, looks good, and the 1400 spin leaves the washing fairly dry. It works out the time and water allowance, so will be economical too! My only comment would be that there was no user manual, just a generic washing machine book, but I'm old school so like paper guides!

First time to purchase a Samsung Washing Machine, have always favoured Hotpoint. The 15 minute programme was its biggest feature alongside the bubble technology that convinced me to give it a go. It definitely lives up to its name with the washing features and quietness, an overall excellent product that finishes the cycle with a classical tune that makes you want to dance.

The new washing machine broke down within a month, and now waiting for the repair, disconnects the power and connects back with the new time set itself - strange, so the washing lasts forever, my wife is disappointed as she had Samsung eco bubble for the last 7 years and was ok, It's just weird to have a new appliance repaired straightaway, hopefully, it'll be solved,

Firstly the 11kg load size is fabulous, room enough to fit a set of bedding plus a load of towels. It's super quiet running, my old machine was horrendous ! I love the little tune it plays at the end of the wash cycle. It's very smart and the programmes were pretty simple to work out as the manual was not great, very pleased with my purchase overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine. This is second machine I bought. Love the bigger capacity. Less washes required for family of 5. The only downside is too many programmes. I Generally only use the mixed cycle and adjust the temperature and spin cycle. Not sure why you would want to wash clothes for almost 3 hours. With a family of 5 we just need a quickest general wash.

Had the exobubble for a week, really enjoying the features, nice and easy to navigate the settings, and the door lock opens a few seconds after pausing the cycle to allow you to add the odd sock dropped or extra piece of laundry found after the cycle started. So far I’m very impressed. 11kgs is a big upgrade from my old 7kg machine also.

The size of the drum is amazing, and it's so easy to work, you don't have to press loads of buttons, to start a wash, just turn the dial and press start. I previously had an 8kg and it was too small, my uncle has had his Samsung washing machine for over twenty years and it still works well. This alone made my decision to buy a a Samsung.

Seems ok but struggling to find a manual as per previous comments! Come on Samsung, please direct us to the correct online manual. I have found a manual online but doesn't state the correct max kg for wash load. The machine is banging and knocking on spin, although it is level. This washer washes amazing pity it's unbelievably loud it doesnt move at all but the banging from the inside of the drum is terrible and yes the bolts were removed I believe that the drum is too big for the washer causing the drum to bang on the casing when spinning so I definitely wouldn't recommend as this isn't a cheap washer

You should certainly not be experiencing this, and there are a few reasons why this may be happening. Please ensure that the washing machine in on a level solid floor that isn't slippery. You can ensure the appliance is level by adjusting the levelling feet on the bottom of the machine. Check that it is not in contact with other object such as kitchen cupboards or other appliances. Do not perform a wash with an unbalanced load. You can ensure this doesn't happen by loading the washing evening and ensuring heavier items are not sitting at one side of the drum. Please also check inside your machine to ensure that there are no foreign objects left behind from previous loads, such as coins, hair pins etc. The motor will also cause noise during the cycle, which is completely normal. I have this machine from last 2 months and I am in love with it. The 11 KG capacity while maintaining same size is a kind of innovation. Very quiet, but shame the drum and door is smaller than my previous 11kg washing machine, can no longer wash my quilt, why do manufacturers keep making the drums smaller, it's the same size drum as my 8kg washing machine I had 10 years ago. I like the tune it makes to let me know my washing is done and cleans very well.

Your Series 5 washing machine will provide a deep clean on any laundry item for the best results every time, and will remain whisper quiet no matter how intense the wash cycle gets, but we're happy to report that the one thing that it won't do is try to escape every time you leave it running by itself. If you're not sure about the tune at the end of a cycle then the good news is that you are able to turn this off. Simply press and hold the rinse and spin buttons on the machine together for 3 seconds to do so. If you do start to miss it, then repeat the process to reactivate it. ^DB at Samsung Support

This is a good value washing machine. For the price, it does everything I could want for a family of 6 adults. It is economical to run and washes to a high standard at low temperatures. If your clothes are coming out damaged, inspect the tub and drum to see if there's anything that the fabric is getting snagged on. This can be caused by either a torn or jagged edge, or the tub being out of alignment and creating gaps that laundry can get pinched in. Please also note that sharp objects in your laundry such as belt buckles, broken studs or other sharp objects that are left in your pockets can cause tears. We also recommend adjusting the spin cycle to a lower setting and making sure that the washing machine is not overloaded. It spins 10 times better than previous Hotpoint Machine even though it is 200 rpm less. Its a lot more stable machine, more solidly built, quieter, the wash cycles are a lot quicker and the washing is a lot more cleaner than the Hotpoint. Should have changed years ago.

A couple of times time got stuck . Took over 5 hours on a one hour and 6 minute wash. And a few times the door wouldn't open once a wash was finished. Clunk noise when starts and finishes. Half regretting buying this product, hopefully it is just teething problems

Great machine - aesthetically i`m not sure about the look of the black door. The very bottom of the machine at the front looks unfinished. Like a piece of trim missing - screws and feet adjustment visual. Overall no complaints but only have it 3weeks.

It lasted 6 months, then stopped working. Smell of electrical burning - and it trips the main breaker in the house every-time it's plugged in. It's also got one of the worse water hammers I've ever heard - I've had to install a water hammer arrestor.

Large capacity, quiet, easy controls. I zcellent spin- clothes come out almost dry. The only negative is that small items (sports socks, make up pads) get stuck at the front of you don’t put them in bags. Never had this problem with previous machine.

How it’s a bigger drum with the same dimensions as a 9kg machine! It’s quick and effective! And it’s so quiet compared to other cheaper brands… when it’s on spin it doesn’t shake the whole house and doesn’t make me want to put ear defenders on!

The machine has a lovely big drum so you can do a decent wash. The controls are great too, easy to use and simpler than a lot of the competing machines. You can pick temperature, duration etc and they are easy to use. Quiet too.

I love the machine, but there are no proper instructions/manual which is disappointing. I can't find the 30 minute wash. Otherwise the machine is great.

The temperature of the Eco 40-60 cycle is determined by the weight of the load you are washing, with the maximum temperature it will reach ranging from 22 to 33 degrees. For a wash that reaches over 30 degrees on the Eco cycle, you will need to be washing an 11 kg load.
