Customize the Quick settings panel on your Samsung Galaxy

Your Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet gives you quick access to essential controls without digging through the Settings menu. The Quick settings panel lets you turn features on or off, adjust key options, and manage how controls are displayed. You can turn on Airplane mode, mute your device or rearrange buttons, so your most-used features are always within easy reach.

Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version and device model.

Starting with newer Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets running One UI 7.0, the Quick settings panel has changed so that Notifications and Quick settings are accessed separately. On earlier Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1.1 or lower, Notifications and Quick settings are still accessed using the same swipe gesture.

The Quick settings panel gives you fast access to many of your device’s most useful features, without opening the Settings menu. You can quickly turn a feature on or off by tapping its icon, such as turning on the Flashlight or enabling Airplane mode. If you don’t see the option you need right away, swipe down again to view all available options.

Use and adjust features from the quick settings panel

Touch and hold an icon to open additional options for that feature. A settings menu or screen will appear automatically, allowing you to adjust or manage the feature in more detail.

Note: Some options may be unavailable or grayed out when a feature is turned off, such as Wi-Fi settings when Wi-Fi is disabled.

You can edit the Quick settings buttons to control which features appear in the panel and how they are arranged. This makes it easier to keep your most-used features within reach while removing or moving buttons you don’t use as often. You can also add new buttons or change their order to better match how you use your Samsung Galaxy device.
