What to do when your Samsung Galaxy phone screen appears in grayscale or shows inverted colors
If your screen appears in grayscale or the colors look inverted, certain settings such as sleep mode or accessibility features may be enabled. You can adjust or turn off these settings to restore the screen to its normal appearance.
Check how your screen currently looks
Before proceeding, check how your screen is currently displayed. Depending on the screen condition, the cause and solution may vary. Refer to the section below that matches your screen symptoms.
Turn off grayscale in sleep mode
Sleep mode can change your screen to grayscale to help reduce eye strain before bed. If you prefer to see colors while in Sleep mode, you can turn this feature off.
Turn off grayscale in Color correction
Color correction helps people with difficulty distinguishing colors by adjusting the screen's color spectrum. If you prefer not to use this function, turn off Color correction.
Turn off Color inversion
Color inversion reverses the colors on your screen to improve visibility for users with low vision. If you prefer not to use this function, turn off Color inversion.
Turn off Color filter
Color filters apply a colored tint over the entire screen to make text easier to read. If you prefer not to use this function, turn off Color filter.
Note: Menu names, paths, and screen layouts may vary depending on your device model, software version, or app version.
