This phone is difficult to protect and expensive due to it's size. Samsung doesn't have a good case for this. It also breaks in the middle due to no physical damage. The phone is very expensive and Samsung doesn't help at all.
I have to say, this has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating phone experiences I’ve ever had. I bought the Samsung Fold 3 expecting premium quality for the premium price (over 500,000 Rs), but sadly, it turned out to be a disaster. The phone was never dropped, never mishandled, and was always used with care. Yet, out of nowhere, two lines appeared on the front screen, and two big black dots showed up on the inner foldable screen. I have no idea how that even happened—it feels like the device is just falling apart on its own. To make things worse, when I reached out for a screen replacement, I was told that it would cost an insane amount to get it fixed. No proper support or explanation from Samsung for what is clearly a manufacturing or design flaw. For a brand like Samsung, this is incredibly disappointing. I truly feel like I’ve lost my money investing in a phone that couldn’t even last properly despite careful usage. I wouldn’t recommend this model to anyone.
Purchased phone and 1 month in, issues with dead pixels. Fixed twice and then happened again 13months (1 year past warranty) Samsung will not fix or offer to extend warranty when phones are clearly defective. Should issue a recall.
I purchased this phone less than a year ago through AT&T and it is useless! After about six months, I noticed what appeared to be a thin scratch on the screen on the side that opens up. About a month later, I see that what I thought was a scratch is actually a crack spreading straight down the middle where you open and close the phone. Three months later, the phone is now powering off on it's own when it's in the closed position. So disappointed!!
Ive used the note 3 and 5 of Samsung and always felt they were amazing then I switched to other devices. I had a Sony Ultra..and was very happy with it..never a moment of regret..then my kids gifted me the z fold, I was excited as I had used Samsung Note..but nope, not pleased at all..the split screen is a pain..its bulky..and everything has to be bought separately.. the phone all in all is highly priced for a bad design. The spen holder prevents you from putting the phone on car phone holder...just a ridiculously designed phone. Once you slip on a cover its a brick. I dont think any thought went into designing this to make it user friendly and easy.
Do not buy the folds. I have had my Z Fold 3 for about 18 months and the larger screen has been broke for the last 4. Opened it up one day and heard a crackling noise and now there is a large black strip down the middle and the right half if the screen doesn't work. Took it to my phone warranty store and the tech proceeded to tell me they see this quite a bit with the fold phones. Was going to cost me $250 to fix it which was ridiculous considering it should have lasted longer than 18 months. Thankfully, the smaller screen still works when folded up but very hard on my eyes which is why I bought the fold. The larger screen was so easy for me to see. Won't be buying one of the folds again.
I bought my z fold 3 3 years ago and after the 1st year there was a black line in the crease that kept getting wider that you could hardly see anything. They said the reason for that is the constant opening and closing. That's one of the reasons we buy it. When I took it back, they told me I had to use my insurance deductible, because the factory warranty was for only 1 year. Also the employees knew about the flaws because so many people had the same problem. Though I like the phone's features, the flaws overtook. I wouldn't recommend this phone because it's too expensive to have to pay for something thats not your fault.
A phone as expensive as this should last longer than a year and a half. Expensive fix. The front screen is the only screen that consistently works, and it is very small. When I open the phone, the screen is black. In addition, the speaker does not work when I open the phone. It starts to work when partially closed, but you can't see the screen. The speaker works on the front screen, but like I said, it is way too small to watch anything. I have not even paid this phone off yet and from what I have read, it will take over $600.00 to fix it.
This was the worst phone I have ever purchased.. At about six months the screen protector failed in so many areas. At about one year, the large inner screen has black, large squatches all over the place. At about fourteen monthe volume keys kept sticking. If you think sticking keys aren't a problem think again. After only being able to use the small front screen. For the last 6 months, I'm heading out and buying a new phone. If It weren't forgetting this phone half price on Amazon. I would be even more furious.
I recently bought this phone and did not have enough time to check or use all the features. Then and as per my life routine, age and personality, I don't feel I am in need of all the features or applications. Frankly, I mostly use other well-known applications such as Google and Microsoft and some others. My only concern is about the layout of the mobile Settings. It is not friendly to know the location of items. The last issue is your this review. I was not able to know which one is my phone to select, so I had to check the phone box.

I love being able to switch back and forth between a smaller screen to the big screen. But now twice the fold in the middle has turned to a black line and you can use the big screen. I am sadden by this. For this replacement phone has been less than a year long of having. I will be looking into a different phone I don't want one breaking before a year is up.
I bought the Z fold 4, in jan 2023. It broke after 8 months of use. I took great care of it, but the screen split. When I asked for repairs or replacement to Samsung, I was told I dropped the phone numerous times, which of course was not true. It was only in a case, never dropped. I liked Samsung phones before, but this one lacks a lot.
I had 1 year and now it is 2 year of using device phone but inside starting have a problem like liquid expose on your right screen way. I try to figure it out if it was water or else. I still like Galaxy Fold 3 5G is awesome phone. Sadly for me with this start to have issue. All of the service was prefect till it exposed liquid somehow.
I've had phone since released. Loved everything about it. Until a week ago. Phone started shutting down automatically and restarting. And sometimes it's off for hours. I got a replacement and the same day it's doing same things,dropping calls, restarting on its own and shutting off for hours. The screen goes black and you can't restart it. You have to wait until it decides to come back up. This is driving me crazy. I've never had a bad samsung phone until now and this phone cost too much money to be having these issues. I still owe about $500 on it. So looks like I'll be out of over $1700 bc I'm gonna have to upgrade or trade in for a different phone. Causing me to have to start over making payments on a new phone. When this one is almost paid off! This really sucks! My other samsung phones lasted for years and were cheaper. This ZFold3 hasn't lasted 2yrs. I'm a very loyal Samsung and Verizon customer. I feel like Samsung should give a refund or at least trade for phone of your choice.
All of the fold Zs have the same problem and that is that it will break in less than 2 years. We purchased this less than 2 years ago and the screen has this large black thick line in the center. The left side is not touch sensitive and hence the inside fold is not usable. We have to replace the screen now, which costs around $400. The customer support representatives do not care about the customers at all. This is a nightmare I wish I never took on. The advertisement is gilded but the product is awful.
This phone is great when you first get it but after a while the screen cracks at the fold. I've had 2 now and about to have to pay a deductible for a design flaw. It is also freezing up and having difficulty connecting to things. My most used app Spotify keeps dropping out and freezing up. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone and I'm looking forward to getting a different phone. I've also talked to others that have the same phone and they are having the same issues.
This is the most expensive phone that i have ever brought in my 20+ yrs. I regret purchasing this phone. I bought the phone in Jul.2021. Since 1 week now, my wide screen auto mute's as soon as i open the wide screen. The wide screen is working fine, but the audio auto mute's itself. The moment i try to fold the screen halfway, the audio unmutes itself. I visited the Samsung service Centre in MOE yesterday and showed my phone. I was first asked whether i have Samsung care. I said i don't have. So then they examined my phone and said that the wide screen will have to be replaced and the cost will be AED 1800. Why on earth will i pay such a huge amount to repair such an expensive phone that i ever bought in my lifetime??? What a waste to buy this phone. FYI -I have never ever dropped my phone which could have resulted in my phone to have any such problems.

Mostly I have enjoyed this phone but the short battery life was apparent from day one. The phone is about 20 month old now and the WIFI and Hot spot failed last week. I found a Samsung reviwer with the same issue and it's a hardware failure. For a $2600 phone to fail on some of the most basic functions is realy not good enough. Now it's out of warranty it looks like I am stuck with mobile data only now. I won't buy another one.
I was an apple user ever since but i wanted change so i tried the fold 3. And boy i didn't regret it. The galaxy z fold 3 is an all around phone. And it is an amazing one. The only problem is battery life is short, for a phone of this magnitude it should have bigger battery capacity. And camera can still be improved because this is an high end phone. But overall i love my fold 3. And didn't regret switching.

I bought the fold 2. Its a great phone but after sale support is not. They didn't activate samsumg care plus for my phone while it was included with the phone. My phone screen is broken and no one solved this issues. I tried everything to find a solution but unfortunately i can't. I love samsung but I hate the way I got treated. I'm considering switching to a brand that respects its costumers.
Bought fold 4 for less then a year, screen spoil, warranty free, less then half year spoil again, warranty over, need paid $700plus to repair, overall all, lest then 1.5 year spoil x2 times the screen. Sold it bk to samsung for only $200, my x2 friends have exactly the same problem with samsung fold phone. Never ever buy fold phone. Worst durability phone I've ever used.

Screens break not even owning barely over a year!! year! Do not buy!!! They only have a year warranty! Cost 2100.00+!! Screen separates it not broken, but the gorilla screen comes apart! Way too much money to spend! The will tell you to go get it fixed in your dimee! When is a manufacturer defect!! Beware!!

Especially, the way it easily integrates into a tablet.. the use cases of this phone can be realized only when it's Daily driven.. one thing is sure, once you start using it, there is no going back to normal slab phone..

Waste of money. Fold After a few months, it slowly started not opening all the way. Eventually it was pretty bad, and I sent it in for warranty repair. They saw nothing about it, Its like a 170 degree angle instead of a 180 degree angle.
phone is great but it could be faster , slow updates and i regret as my S21 Ultra 16 GB Ram is way better and the screen more beatiful, dust resistance is an issue as i cant take it to the beach and you cant see under sunlight
I only use this device to do everything. When I'm out, it's my phone & tablet. When I'm at home I connect it to my monitor with DEX & I'm working. I don't think I'm gonna be able to go back to a single use phone anymore.

I been using it for 2 months now and trust me I wasted all my type using non foldable phone this thing is future technology the only 1 issue is battery life it can be improved and fold line will be rocking

Don't buy this phone. The pixels in the fold blacked out and now I can only use the front screen which is tiny. Samsung won't do anything about it. 13 months in and now stuck paying hundreds of dollars.
It is a good overall change from the Fold2, battery life is much better and the screen for one is brighter. The stylus option is my favourite. Overall the phone has improved a lot.

The last time I referred to a device as being 'magical' was way back in 2007, when Apple released its first iPhone. Pinch to zoom, use two fingers to rotate an image, play music, organize photos, etc. etc. were all features that blew me (and millions of others) away. I've been an avid user of Apple devices ever since then, and no amount of convincing or new features could get me to jump over the walls of their garden (read 'ecosystem')....until I laid eyes on the first Z Fold. Just the concept of a folding device was enough to get me thinking of switching (something I never actively did in the past). Eventually, a couple of iterations later, I decided (after a TON of hesitation) to take the plunge. I pre-ordered my phantom black Z Fold 3, and after waiting for a few agonizing weeks, I got the notification that my order was out for delivery. Now, a few weeks after using it, all I can say is that if anyone wishes to witness real-world magic, unfold a Z Fold 3!! It's nothing short of awe-inspiring and I think that THIS is what innovation ought to look like. Kudos to Samsung for pushing the envelope!! Now it's time for me to go back to my e-book on my Z Fold 3!

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
