1. Water Drainage Options Overview

Samsung heat pump dryers extract moisture during the drying process and offer two ways to dispose of condensed water:

• Manual Water Tank Drainage: Condensation collects in the internal water tank located at the top-left of the appliance. This tank must be emptied after every drying cycle.
• Direct/Continuous Hose Drainage: By connecting the provided external drain hose to the back of the dryer, water drains automatically into a domestic drain system or sink, bypassing the water tank entirely.

2. How to Empty the Water Tank Manually

If your dryer is not connected to an external drain pipe, follow these steps to drain the internal tank:

1. Gently pull out the water container tank using the handle located at the upper-left front panel of the dryer.
2. Hold the water tank horizontally with both hands to prevent splashing or accidental spills.
3. Empty the accumulated condensed water into a sink or drain opening.
4. Slide the empty water tank back into its slot until it locks securely into place before starting a new drying cycle.

3. Connecting the External Hose for Automatic Drainage

For convenience without manual emptying, set up direct drainage by following these steps:

1. Locate the short internal drainage hose on the lower-back side of the dryer.
2. Disconnect the short hose from hole (A) (which routes water to the internal tank).
3. Take the long external drain hose included in your accessory kit and attach it securely to hole (A).
4. Connect the free end of the long drain hose directly to a household drain pipe, sink edge, or standpipe.
