Jul 30. 2021

Samsung Electronics today announced the global launch of its next-generation curved gaming monitor, the long-awaited Odyssey Neo G9, enhanced with Quantum Mini LED technology.

The Odyssey Neo G9, a new addition to the Odyssey lineup, brings gaming to the next level with Quantum Matrix technology, supported by Quantum Mini LED display and Quantum HDR 2000 for an immersive gaming experience.

Key features include:

  • Quantum Matrix Technology: Harnessing enhanced 12-bit gradation, Quantum Mini LEDs can further darken and brighten areas with 2,048 dimming zones to provide better contrast. Meanwhile, Quantum HDR 2000 offers a peak brightness of 2,000 nits certified by VDE (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker), alongside a static contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. These features enable greater control of light source, providing unparalleled contrast and image details.

  • High refresh rate and wider display: The ultra-wide 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio offers Dual Quad High-Definition with a rapid, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time*, offering dynamic and seamless action scene-by-scene gameplay experience.

  • Eye Comfort certification by TÜV Rheinland: Users can now be assured of maximum eye comfort even after prolonged usage as the 1000R curvature of the monitor was awarded the Eye Comfort certificate by the leading international certification organization.
