    What external recording drive devices are suitable/recommended for the UE46F5300 TV? USB or HDMI connect? Does the TV recognize/know what to do with them directly? i.e. plug & play?

    Hi, Here are specs for external recording devices. 1. USB 2.0 only HDD 2. Non Raid devices only supported. 3. Minimum RPM of 5400 required. 4. Maximum capacity of 1TB. 5. Preferable to have external power supply to avoid program corruption. 6. Must be formatted it one of the following formats by a PC before connection. FAT, FAT32 or NTFS. 7. No Mass Storage Devices will work as a recording device for this TV. 8. When plugged into your TV the USB HDD will be locked to this TV and recorded media will not be able to be watched on any other device other than your TV. Thanks.

    We recently purchased a smart tv however despite using a HDMI cable we have no sound on th HD channels. Previous tv worked fine when watching HD channels on SKY.

    Hi. Just got my ue46f5300 and trying to set it up to control my other devices. I have the following: Tvonics set top box connected via hdmi 1 Home cinema sound system connected to set top box (not tv) via optical Mac mini connected via hdmi 2 In going through process of setting up external devices I wondered if my home theatre system would be better connected directly to tv but still use the external set top box. Would that work? Or would I be better leaving home theatre connected to the set top box. I'm asking as I think if the sound was controlled by the tv remote but was linked to the set top box it would mean I could ditch the home theatre remote. Ultimately I would like to have the three devices controlled by the tv remote but can't get it to control the set top box (that's another issue) I hope my question makes sense and someone can advise!!!

    I read this on Google The SmartHub in Samsung televisions is a Java-based program, and the researchers were able to prove that it could be "exploited by a local or remote attacker to surreptitiously activate and control an embedded webcam on the SmartTV; the researchers were able to conduct DNS poisoning and drive-by download attacks and show how vulnerabilities could be combined to steal local user credentials and those of connected devices, browser history, cache and cookies as well as credentials for the local wireless network." How do I protect my TV???

    I am unable to EDIT PROFILE after LOG IN to Samsung account. I get a message stating: Unable to connect to server. Please try again later. The TV is connected to the internet.
