My phone is not being recognised in the COM port for File Manager/PC Studio.

After installation when the File Manager program is accessed the following message may appear:

To resolve this the user must find out which port the cable is attached to by opening control panel/system/hardware/device manager

The cable will show as a Samsung modem. Right click on this and open the properties page. Select modem and the port this device is connected to can be read. In the PIM and file manager program select file/set up (see below)

Change to the same port from device manager (see above)
Click OK . If still not being recognised, please check that you have the compatible cable for the phone.
