But device has definitely evolved and Samsung is finally catching up with the competition (despite being pioneers in the field). Like form factor. Battery has improved. Crease is better too. Storage should have been upgraded to double as Samsung used to. Sadly not anymore and I am feeling it.

Really responsive, I love the colour, the flipsuit case for it and the ability to personalise - cool and quirky. The battery seems to last muxh longer too. And the display is so clear. Taking me a while to get used to using the front screen more, but i do appreciate being able to do that. The hinge seems more solid too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from a flip 6, I would struggle to go back to a 'regular' now. I love that the smaller screen has so much more use on the flip8. I've never had any issues with the creases in either of my flips. Once you have a good case on it, there shouldn't be any reason why it should break or get damaged! I have marked it down a star as it does feel a lot bigger than the flip 6, my personal preference is for it to feel more compact. Whilst it is thinner, it does feel a lot wider, especially with a case on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love my new phone. It's so cute and pocket sized aswell as really customisable from the cover screen to the apps. Battery is great and the screen is seamless, no crease hardly at all. I do wish there was a better camera on this model but it's still pretty good and takes nice photos. I've had the flip 6 aswell and with both of these phones ive never had an issue with the hinge or responsiveness. The durability is pretty good as I've dropped it a few times and it's never stopped working on me.

Battery is good hence why I got a up grade as my old Samsung galaxy note 9 was sadly starting to slow down. The battery life is excellent and I'm impressed with the new crease hinge. It appears to be even more flexible. It has improved responsiveness which is delightful. Overall I'm delighted with my new Flip 8 and I've recommended it to several friends and family as their contract have expired. Long live the Flip phone as it fits perfectly into each of my handbags and is amazing fit in a pocket.

I went from the flip 5, to the 7FE and this is a great improvement on both of these models. Battery is doing well, last me a full day with heavy usage.

In fact, it seem more feminine in both looks and handling as it looks like portable female face enhancement kit when handling it. The outer screen is wide enough and makes the display more readable unlike previous versions. When unfolded, the inner screen is wider than the previous versions and gives more space to do work.. It does not show any wrinkles when unfolded The execution speed is good for me as I used it mostly for my office jobs. It has long operation times after changing which means that the battery is good. There is no noticeable line of fold on the screen when unfolded. The hinge support easy flipping when unfolding. The phone appears durable like other Samsung brands However, it does not support stylus Pen as did my Fold 4

Noticably less of a crease than on the 6 .Flex window now more usable than before with more apps that can be used on it. Which should mean less opening to full size to check notices therefore improving the durability of the hinge. Have so far found both main & flex screens give a real feeling of responsiveness. Have added flex window protector & a case to keep my flip 8 safely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a flip 6 for 3 years and I upgraded to the flip 8. I love it! The cover screen is larger and you can do alot more on it. I can text, use Spotify and even play pokemon go! The crease is almost non existent, the battery is long lasting and the screen feels alot more durable then on the flip 6. Over all I am extremely happy with this upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a few days to get used to this phone as I've never had a flip or folding phone before. Originally I was regretting my life choices as I've always been used to a "normal" phone which I could get a case that incorporates a wallet section for a couple of cards. I didn't think I could get such a case for this device but I did and that actually made a huge difference. I also thought to begin with that the battery life was terrible, but after my second charge and turning off App notifications which weren't normally on, the battery life improved considerably. The Flip 8 is far more responsive than my previous phone and it seems to run really smoothly. There's also a lot of improvements since my last Samsung phone and for someone who is no longer tech savvy, I found it easy to set up and organise. And on heart, I'm beginning to fall in love with my Samsung Flip 8 ❤️

Performance excellent and Cameras are great. Was really pleasantly surprised at the the number of apps which you can put on the cover screen and the ease of using them. I am using the phone in the closed format far more than I would have thought possible. All in all an excellent purchase.

I was worried as spec wise it's not a huge leap but oh how I was wrong 🥺 also massively helps its link 💅 great battery life, hinge feels so much stronger than the flip 6, crease is far less noticeable currently but we will see how it holds up! The battery so far has lasted me through the day and because of the different hinge the crease is not as noticeable as on the flip4. It's very responsive but as I had the phone for a short period of time so far I do not have an opinion on the durability but hopefully it does well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before this z flip 8 I had a z flip 6 and must admit it was the best phone, I still have & works well after 3 years so I held on to it as a “ just in case I’m going to need it” phone. So had the phone nearly a week now, the battery is brilliant but it will be as it’s new, up to now in a week I have only charged it up twice. There are no shadows in the crease and completely immaculate. When I use the phone it’s very quick to use when on any application platforms it’s was easy too and transferring over from ex phone to was very easy and ran so smoothly, the hinges are great however I have just bought a case for it and have found it does not quite fit the screen well and it does the previous phones and also on the cover screen I have applied photos on there which will alternate although when I do look at my mail screen from time to time it does show up blank, however that may be a “ me” problem. Overall it is a great phone its durable and I cannot stop being a kid around it. I adore these flip phones from Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third Z Flip that I have purchased and both previous devices were excellent, but I always wanted the screen to be slightly wider. The Z Flip 8 is wider and feels much better. The screen quality is better and the crease is very much diminished since Z Flip 6. The overall experience is much improved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have previously owned Flip 3 and Flip 5. The Z8 looks good and is lighter and thinner. Also the crease is almost invisible compared to older models. I also bought a clear plastic case - avoid this; it's too slippery and easy to drop the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous phone was the flip 6 and I loved it. The flip 8 appears to be lighter and more compact, although appears to have the same screen size. The battery appears better and the crease is not visible (i was not bothered by the crease on my flip 6), although my flip 6 was 2 years old.

Love the light and slim design, and now easier to unfold. Its so pocketable that i can easily keep it in my pocket or small handbag. Taking selfie on flex cam is the best part. And being able to comfortably hold it as a cam corder makes taking video much easier. The super steady with horizontal lock adds to making videos even more stable and better.

Having Samsung's software dumped on top of Googles is painful, there are so many duplicated apps and features, let alone pre-installed apps I have had to delete like instagram and Facebook. The switch system worked to a point but it was far from complete and not as effective as I hoped. I don't mind getting to learn new things but the whole app tray thing is nonsense, just another duplicative lump of software. It's taken me a week of learning how to get around, many things found out by accident and trial and error. The Tips menu is alright but not that brilliant. The OS generally is not intuitive. However I love the phone design, its lightness, its surprising screen real estate. The batter life is excellent, the hinge is fine, the crease is occasionally visible but in use you would never really know. Where it lets itself down most is signal capture...it's below par in areas where coverage is lighter than full. Gemini Ai is excellent compared to even the new version of Siri and forget Bixby, totally duff.
