How to get a Samsung account and the advantages of having it

Samsung strongly encourages its users to take full advantage of having a Samsung account that supports a free built-in membership service on all of their devices. Find out how easy it can be to get a Samsung account.

Before testing the recommendations, be sure to check if your device software is up to date with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device software in the following order.

 

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software Update.

Step 2. Tap Download and Install.

Step 3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Advantages of having a Samsung account

Your Samsung Account is a free, built-in membership service that allows you to use Samsung services on smartphones, tablets, websites, televisions, and other devices. Enjoy various services through your Samsung account, without having to register for each service separately. Your Samsung account not only gives you access to exclusive apps like Smart Things and Samsung Pay, but it also allows you to backup, restore, and sync your data across multiple devices and more. This will also help if you forget your ID or password.

Galaxy phones and tablets have Samsung account software built into their settings.

 

Step 1. Go to Settings > Accounts and Backup.

Step 2. Touch Manage Accounts > Add Account > Samsung Account.

Step 3. You can log in if you already have an account or touch Create account to generate a new one.

Step 4. Review the legal information and then tap Accept.

Step 5. Enter your information and then tap Create account.

Once you have created the Samsung account, you can easily sync the account or verify yourself via 2-step verification which feature was recently added to enhance the security of the Samsung account. Follow the steps to access your registered Samsung account.

 

Step 1. Go to Settings > Accounts and Backup.

Step 2. Tap Accounts.

Step 3. Tap the registered Samsung account.

 

How to start Two-Step Verification

    Step 1. Go to Settings > Accounts and Backup.

    Step 2. Tap Manage accounts and tap the registered Samsung account.

    Step 3. Tap My Profile > Security Settings and go to Two-Step Verification.

How to personalize your content in Samsung applications and services

    Step 1. Go to Settings > Accounts & Backup.

    Step 2. Tap Manage Accounts > go to the registered Samsung account.

    Step 3. Tap Samsung Apps.
