How can I enter DeX mode?
You can enter DeX mode using one of the following three methods:
• Drag the app header down to the position you want.
• Select the desktop space on the right side of the recent apps.
• If there is no desktop, press the + button to create a DeX desktop space and enter DeX mode.
How can I exit DeX mode?
You can exit DeX mode using one of the following three methods:
• Drag the app header to the top of the tablet.
• Select an app outside the desktop space on the left side of recent apps to exit both DeX mode and the selected app.
• Select an empty space in recent apps (excluding the desktop space) to exit DeX mode and return to the home screen.
How do I change the mirroring mode after connecting to an external monitor?
You can switch to mirroring mode using one of the following two methods:
• Quick Settings Panel > Wired DeX
• Settings > Device Connections > Samsung DeX > Connected Display > Screen Mirroring
If wireless DeX is connected, you cannot switch to mirroring mode.
How do I wirelessly connect to an external monitor?
You can connect to a monitor that supports wireless connection using one of the following two methods:
• Quick Panel > Wireless DeX
• Settings > Device Connections > Samsung DeX > Connect wirelessly
How do I create a workspace?
When you enter DeX mode, Desktop 1 is created by default. If no desktop appears, you can create one by selecting the + button to the right of the recent apps. You can also add a new desktop at any time by selecting the + button.
How many workspaces can I create?
You can create up to 4 workspaces (desktops).
What is the maximum number of apps I can run in DeX mode?
You can run up to 5 apps simultaneously. If you launch a 6th app, the first app you opened will be minimized.
How can I use my monitor exclusively with DeX?
To use your monitor exclusively with DeX, exit DeX mode on the tablet.

Which models are compatible with Samsung DeX?
Here are the models which are compatible with Samsung DeX.
• Galaxy S smartphones: S8 series, S9 series, S10 series, S20 series, S21 series, S22 series, S23 series, S24 series and S25 series.
• Galaxy Note smartphones: Note8, Note9, Note10 series and Note20 series.
• Galaxy foldables: Fold, Z Fold2, Z Fold3, Z Fold4, Z Fold5, Z Fold6, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7.
* Note: The Z Flip7 FE is not compatible with DeX using a HDMI cable or wireless DeX with a TV or monitor.
• Galaxy A smartphones: A90 5G.
• Galaxy Tabs: Tab S4, Tab S5e, Tab Active Pro, Tab S6, Tab S7 series, Tab S8 series, Tab S9 series, Tab S10 series, Tab S11 series and Tab Active 3.
* Note: The Tab S9 FE, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S10 Plus, Tab S10 FE is not compatible with HDMI output.

- Samsung DeX wireless connection is supported with TVs that support Android smartphone screen mirroring (Miracast) only.
- There may be a difference in performance depending on TV’s specifications and Wi-Fi environment. Recommended to use Samsung Smart TVs launched after '19.
