What should I do if I've lost my device?

Locate or lock your device, or erase your data via Samsung Find.

Locate my device

Quickly find all your registered Galaxy devices on a map. You can also locate your Galaxy devices through a family member's Samsung Find app, as long as you've shared its location beforehand. Even if your device is turned off, with 'Send last location' on, the device’s last known address will be saved on the server before it powers off.1,2

Ring my device

If you can’t find your device but think it might be nearby, you can play the sound at maximum volume for someone close to hear it. For devices without speakers, they may vibrate, or in the case of the S Pen, the light will blink.

Set Lost mode

Lock your screen and display your contact info or a message. Restrict access to Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass, and prevent your phone from being turned off. For Galaxy Buds or SmartTag, anyone who finds them can tap their NFC-enabled Galaxy device to view your lost message. If someone attempts to pair the Galaxy Buds, they’ll be notified that it’s a lost device and won’t be able to register it to a Samsung account.3

Notify me when it’s found

Get notified when your device is detected — even if it’s offline. The Galaxy Find Network helps you locate your lost device using nearby Galaxy devices. Your privacy is protected, with your device remaining anonymous and encrypted.4,5,6

Extend battery life

Extend your lost phone's battery life to prevent it from shutting down and increase your chances of finding it.4

Erase data

You can remotely delete all your data from your lost device and reset it to factory settings to prevent your personal information from being leaked or misused.4

Stay connected with your loved ones

Share locations and get informed when your loved ones arrive or leave key places.

In the center, a Galaxy smartphone screen displays the child's location on the map within the Samsung Find's People tab. Notifications about the child's location are shown on the side, indicating when the child leaves home, arrives at school, leaves school and arrives at home. Arrival & Leave notifications

Be informed when your child or loved ones arrive or leave key places like home, school or work. They’ll be notified when their location is shared — keeping you connected, with their privacy protected.8

Take control in advance

Be ready for unexpected device loss with Samsung Find.

Notify me when left behind

Turn on 'Notify when left behind' to get alerts if you leave a SmartTag or a wearable device ― Galaxy Buds, Watch or Ring ― connected to your phone or tablet. Set Safe Zones to avoid unnecessary alerts while staying protected elsewhere.

Track what matters to you with SmartTags

Attach a SmartTag and track almost anything, anytime ― your keys, bike, suitcase or even your pet. View up to a week's movement history on a map, and share the location so your family can help with the tracking.9

Find devices even when offline

With offline finding enabled, the Galaxy network helps you locate your devices — even when they’re not connected to the network.5,6,10
