R32 Refrigerant

R32 refrigerant helps conserve the ozone layer and has less impact on global warming. It has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) compared to conventional R22 or R410A refrigerants* that are commonly used.

Stays fresh & hygienic

Auto Clean

Keep your air conditioner hygienic by doing nothing! After it has been working*, Auto Clean automatically dries the Heat Exchanger** to help prevent the buildup of odors. Initially it checks the internal humidity*** and temperature and then blows air inside for between 0.5 to 20 minutes****.

* Auto Clean is activated when the air conditioner is turned off after using auto cooling, cooling or dry mode. ** The Auto Clean time will vary depending on the condition of the air conditioner. *** Only WindFree™ models will check the internal humidity. **** Models without WindFree™ mode will use 3 minutes of auto air flow and 7 minutes of high air flow.

Comfort Humidity Control

Keep your environment feeling comfortable. The Comfort Humidity Control monitors the room temperature and humidity to keep them stable. When the room is close to the target temperature, it adjusts the evaporator temperature, so it is lower than the dew point, to prevent moisture discharge*.

Added protection

Emergency Stop

Protect your building in an emergency. Using Emergency Stop*, if an emergency alarm, like a fire alarm, goes off a signal is sent** to stop the air conditioning. It helps prevent extra damage, for example, by refrigerant leakage. When safe, it turns the air conditioning back on in standby mode.

* An optional setting is required.** An optional part (MIM-B14) is required.

SmartThings AI Energy Mode

Monitor and reduce your air conditioner’s energy use. AI Energy* mode lets you check the power consumption and estimate your electricity bill. By learning your usage patterns and analyzing room conditions, it can reduce energy use** by adjusting the room temperature*** and compressor speed****.

* The SmartThings App is available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. Available when system is working in AI comfort mode.** Based on internal testing on a 4way 48k BTU/h model (AC048DN4DKG/AZ, AC048DXADKG/AZ).
