Three camera tricks that will take your shots to the next level with Galaxy S23

You probably know by now that the Galaxy S23 phones have incredible cameras. Let us share these three tricks that can take your pictures and videos to the next level, producing WOOOW results, even for amateur photographers like us!

With these tricks, you can start to #SharetheEpic when your friends start asking, #canyousendmethat?

#1 Capture your night sky full of “shooting stars” – Astro Hyperlapse (Astrophotography)

Why take just an image of the night sky when you can level up your final product with social media-worthy footage of stars streaking across the sky? Follow the steps below and create your own Astro Hyperlapse video!

Step #1: Open the Camera app.

Step #2: Go to More and select Hyperlapse.

Step #3: Select UHD (Ultra-high resolution).

Step #4: Change recording speed to 300x.

Step #5: Tap on the Star trails and activate it.

Step #6: Set phone on tripod and point the cameras towards the sky.

Step #7: Press the Shutter and start recording.

It is recommended that you keep the phone recording for an hour, which will give you 12 seconds of footage.

#2 Create artistic-looking panning
street photography shots

Use the lights around you to create an epic street photography shot, as we did in the video. How? Just follow the steps below!

Step #1: Open the Camera app.

Step #2: Go to More and select Pro mode.

Step #3: Set ISO to 80 and Speed to 1/15.

Step #4: Pan along with the subject and snap a photo as it passes by your camera.

Try this low light panning street shots a few times, and adjust your ISO and Speed according to the lighting environment you are working with.

#3 Create cool transition videos

Whether you are creating a video while travelling or capturing special moments, the S23 camera stabilisation feature allows you to get creative!

With an optical image stabilisation (OIS) that has been doubled to an angle of 3 degrees, the Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a more stable handheld video recording experience and result. This means you can enjoy high-quality and stable video recordings in motion or low-light settings!

In the video we shot, we used the sky as a transition point for our model as he captured moments of himself around town. Despite moving the Galaxy S23 Ultra in a swift upswing and downswing motion to create the transitions, the video footage remained stable and smooth, with no lags or noise.

Step #1: Open the Camera app.

Step #2: Tap on Video mode.

Step #3: Turn Super steady mode on.

Step #4: Set camera to 0.6x.

Step #5: Start recording.

All photos and videos from the above video were taken on a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
