Set up Parental controls on your child's device

Parental controls with Google's Family Link app allow you to set rules for how Galaxy phones and tablets are used, allowing you to guide your child while they learn and play online. Follow the below steps to learn how to setup Parental Controls and use the Family link app on your Galaxy devices.
Setting up Parental Controls

On your Child's device, launch the Settings app

Select Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls

Tap on Parental Controls

Tap on Let's do this

Ask your Child or Teen to sign into their Google Account

Once your child has signed in tap on Supervise account

Tap on Next

Enter the Google Account that you'll use to supervise your child or teenager

Read the on-screen information, re-enter your child or teen's Google Account password then tap on Next

Tap on Allow

Adjust some of the Google settings then tap on Next

Family Link Controls

On the Parent device install the Family Link app from the Playstore

Ensure the supervising account is logged into the Parent device, then tap on Continue as [Your name]

Scroll through the list of Controls and adjust accordingly

Manage Screen Time

On the Parent's device, launch the Family Link app

Tap on Screen time

Here you will be able to view your child's screen time, lock the device, set time limits and schedules

Set up Location

On the Parent's device, launch the Family Link app

Select Set up location

Tap on Turn on

Once the setting has been enabled, you will be able to see your child or teen's device location

Manage Family

On the Parent's device, launch the Family Link app

Tap on your child/teen's profile

Then select Manage family

From here you will be able to view your family members, family sharing apps, read more about parental controls and delete or leave the family group
