To support Singapore IMDA online safety requirements and protect children online, Galaxy Store requires age verification for all users.

If you access Galaxy Store in Singapore, you must complete the Age Assurance step. This helps us show you age appropriate apps and features, and restrict access to certain content (for example, 18+).

Galaxy Store Singapore Age Assurance is a step that helps us confirm your age group so we can show you age appropriate apps, features, and content. It also helps restrict access to 18+ content for users who are under 18.

Singapore has introduced online safety measures to better protect children and young users from harmful or unsuitable digital content. Age Assurance helps app stores apply age based access controls.

This measure follows guidelines issued by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)

You cannot skip the Age Assurance step if you access Galaxy Store in Singapore.

You must choose one of the available options to continue using Galaxy Store.

If you choose not to verify that you are 18 or older, you will not be able to access 18+ content and features.

Age Assurance on the Galaxy Store will be implemented on 27 March 2026. Users will receive a notification and a reminder one week prior to the rollout via a push notification.

All users accessing Galaxy Store in Singapore must complete the Age Assurance step.

If you want to access 18+ content, you must complete 18+ verification.

No. Please complete Age Assurance on your own Samsung account.

If you need help, you can ask a parent or guardian to guide you, but do not share your password or let someone take over your account.

You will not be able to continue using Galaxy Store until you complete the Age Assurance step.

If you choose to continue without 18+ verification, you can still use Galaxy Store but you will only see age appropriate content. You will not be able to access 18+ content and features.

After you open Galaxy Store, you will be prompted to the Age Assurance page. You must choose one of these options:

(1) Credit Card Verification (for users aged 18 and above)

If you choose credit card verification, you will enter your card details to confirm you are 18+.

Once verified, you can access all content in the Galaxy Store.

We will check if you have a saved credit card. If you do, it will be used for age verification. You can then proceed to the Galaxy Store without re-entering your card details.

Your card will be saved to your account for future checkout. You can delete your saved card at any time in the Galaxy Store > Payment Methods settings.

(2) Proceeding without age verification (for users under 18 or anyone who prefers not to use a credit card)

You do not need to provide a credit card. You will only be able to access age appropriate content and features in Galaxy Store. You will not be able to access 18+ content.

If you want to verify later, go to Galaxy Store Settings > Contact Us for help with age verification.

Yes, your Credit card will be stored in Galaxy Store for future app and service purchases. You can delete your saved card at any time in the Galaxy Store > Payment Methods settings.

This is a temporary authorisation to check your card. It is not a purchase. Your bank will reverse it automatically. The timing depends on your bank.

You can delete the credit card information within the Galaxy store.

Just select Galaxy Store > My Payment methods > select credit card more option > prompt credit card removal.

In most cases, age verification is completed only once. However, re-verification may be required under certain circumstances, such as policy updates, account changes, device changes, factory resets, or other security-related triggers.

Yes. This applies when you access Galaxy Store in Singapore.

Most verification processes are typically completed within a few minutes. However, in some cases, additional review may be required, which could extend the processing time.

Try the steps below:

  1. Close Galaxy Store and reopen the app
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Update the app to the latest version
  4. Try again

If it still fails, contact Customer Support. If you see an error message or code, share it with us.

Only the information necessary to verify age eligibility is collected and processed.

We collect and use only the information needed to confirm your age group and apply the right restrictions.

This may include:

  • Your Age Assurance result (for example, verified 18+ or not verified)
  • Basic account and device information needed to run the check and prevent abuse

If you choose credit card verification, your card details are processed for verification purposes.
