How to install a USIM card into the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold

When inserting a USIM card into the Galaxy Z TriFold, inserting it in the wrong direction or forcing the tray back into the device when the card is not properly seated may cause the tray to bend or break. Refer to the instructions below to insert the USIM card correctly.

Insert a USIM card into the Galaxy Z TriFold correctly

Follow the steps below to insert the USIM card. Before starting, make sure the Galaxy Z TriFold is fully unfolded.

Step 1. Fully unfold the Galaxy Z TriFold. The SIM tray is located on the left side of the device.

Step 2. While the device is unfolded, insert the ejection pin into the SIM tray hole to loosen and release the tray.

Step 3. Pull the tray out completely.

Step 4. Place the USIM card on the tray with the metal contacts facing downward, then gently press it into place.

Step 5. Insert the tray back into the tray slot.

Precautions when using a USIM card

  • Always use the provided ejection pin to press the tray hole when removing the tray.
  • Only use a Nano-SIM card. Using a different SIM size or a modified SIM may damage the device.
  • If the ejection pin is not inserted perpendicular to the tray hole, the device may be damaged.
  • If the tray is inserted while wet, the device may be damaged. Ensure the tray is completely dry before inserting it.
  • To prevent foreign substances from entering the device, make sure the tray is fully inserted into the tray slot.
  • If the USIM card becomes scratched or bent, the data stored on the card may be damaged.
