Corporate Citizenship

Community and Culture

We believe in creating innovative learning opportunities that inspire creativity and courage in education.

Creativity, courage and community empowerment
As a leader in technology and innovation, Samsung Electronics Australia is passionate about harnessing the power of technology to inspire creativity and courage in education and to support social change.
We recognise that social, geographic and economic challenges mean some young people can have limited opportunities throughout their education. To help combat this, our Corporate Citizenship programs aim to support young Australians develop new skills and have access to experiences they may not otherwise have had.

New opportunities in education
We work closely with our partners to create enriching opportunities for young Australians.

Samsung is Presenting Partner of The Australian Ballet’s flagship educational program, Out There – The Australian Ballet in schools, brought to you by Samsung. The program sees students aged five to 12 years given access to interactive dance education workshops led by a specially trained Dance Ensemble from The Australian Ballet. Equally fun and educational, Out There provides students from remote and regional Australia the opportunity to explore creativity in movement in a format that complements the national curriculum. The series of interactive demonstrations and workshops foster movement skills, promote fitness and encourage engagement.
With Samsung’s support, the program is able to reach students at remote schools who may otherwise not have any exposure to the arts. In 2014, Out There was able to visit schools in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland for the first time. Additionally, in the first year of our partnership, participation numbers were able to increase 20 per cent from the previous year.
