How to use Creative studio (Drawing assist) on the Samsung Galaxy device
Creative studio (Drawing assist) is a Galaxy AI feature that lets you create new images from a sketch, photo, image, or text. You can open Creative studio (Drawing assist) from the Edge panel, or from Air command on models that support S Pen. After selecting your content, choose a style and aspect ratio, then generate a new image.
Note:
- To use Creative studio (Drawing assist), your device must be signed in to a Samsung account.
- Generated images may vary each time, and an AI watermark may appear in the lower left corner of the image.
- When you generate an image from a drawing, the drawing is sent to the server only to provide this feature, and Samsung does not store the transmitted data.
How to turn on Creative studio (Drawing assist)
Before using Creative studio (Drawing assist), make sure the feature is turned on in Settings. You can also turn it off from the same menu when needed. In this menu, you can adjust how closely the generated image reflects your original drawing.
Step 1. Tap Settings.
Step 2. Select Galaxy AI.
Step 3. Select Creative studio.
Step 4. Check that Creative studio (Drawing assist) is set to On.
How to open and use Creative studio (Drawing assist)
Open Creative studio (Drawing assist) from the Edge panel, or from Air command on supported S Pen models. You can then save, share, copy, or generate more results. You can also add or change the image after generation and create it again with additional changes.
Step 1. Swipe the Edge panel handle to the left.
Step 2. Select Creative studio.
Step 3. Tap the Create image icon.
Step 4. Choose Sketch, Image, or Text.
Step 5. Tap Styles icon.
Step 6. Select the style you want.
Step 7. Select the aspect ratio you want, then tap Generate.
Step 8. Check the generated result, then save, share, copy, edit, or generate more images.
Note: If the Edge panel is not visible, go to Settings > Display > Edge panels, then turn it on.
1. Create using Sketch
You can create an image based on your own drawing. After adding a sketch, you can also enter additional text instructions before generating the image.
Step 1. Tap Sketch icon.
Step 2. Draw your sketch, then tap Done.
Step 3. Select a style and aspect ratio, then tap Generate.
Step 4. Check the generated result.
2. Create using Photos or Images
You can create a new image using a saved photo or image on your device. After adding an image, you can also enter additional text instructions before generating the image.
Step 1. Tap Image icon.
Step 2. Select the image you want from gallery.
Step 3. Select a style and aspect ratio, then tap Generate.
Step 4. Check the generated result.
3. Create using Text
You can create an image by entering the content you want as text.
Step 1. Enter the text you want.
Step 2. Select a style and aspect ratio, then tap Generate.
Step 3. Check the generated result.
Note:

- The Creative studio (Drawing assist) feature requires a network connection and Samsung Account login.
- A visible watermark is overlaid on the image output upon saving in order to indicate that the image is generated by AI.
- The accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed.
- Menu names, paths, and screen layouts may vary depending on your device model, software version, or app version.
