Recording software often comes with a jam packed screen full of numbers and different options to choose from and the strain on my eyes can be horrible. Not anymore! This monitor is so clear I can see everything as if I was an inch away from the screen. The light filtering feature is by far my favorite thing about it though. Most computers come with a blue light filter, but they just don't get it right like Samsung has with the filter they've included with the monitor. Great monitor from a great brand.

This is my first 20+ inch monitor, and I enjoy it. Has a good display and it only having two inputs doesn't bother me. It works great for me with day to day tasks, watching movies or videos and the occasional game. I sometimes forget that it is curved whenever I am looking head-on at it. Even at a distance and off center, the picture is good. The only gripe I have with it is that the combined stand pushes it a bit to forward for my taste, used to monitors that have the connectors coming up. But it is VESA compatable so just need to find a stand or mount I can use. Just wish the documentation was a bit more detailed for the connector specs, but a great monitor never the less.

originally, i was pleased with the first monitor, enough that i purchased 2 additional monitors. i planned to use them as a multiple monitor setup only to find out that monitors have 2 different backlighting colors depending on which location manufactured it (china or mexico). i wanted to share this because i have seen online people mentioning there are different colors and samsung replies that it is only the settings of the monitors, which is false. the monitors do have different colors. most likely i will just return all 3 monitors and look for something different all together. i hope this review is helpful when considering to make a multiple purchase for multi monitor setup.

Giving a rating of "Fair". Writing since there hasn't been an easy way to find repair services for Samsung monitors. I watched the monitor go black as I was using it. After disconnecting the HDMI, I could not get the LED indicator light to light up, which means that the monitor was not receiving power. I checked the voltage of the power supply plug (the cylinder with a prong in the middle) and it measured to 14 Volts, which is nominal. The only reasons left are internal to the monitor itself. The monitor IS affordable, so while the monitor worked, it was decent and was pleasant to use.

for gaming, this is a great monitor. for windows at least. with current-gen consoles, the screen gets choppy in motion especially with motion blur turned on but when connected to a windowspc paired with an rtx 2060 with freesync turned on, it works good and i get 71hz instead of 60hz. this would probably work better with amd cards but its not gonna be able to catch up with the performance on what you are gaming on. i'd say for 2020 standards 75hz should be the minimum for the ps5 and xsx along with amd's 6000 graphics card series and nvidia's 3000 series. yet, if you were to get this now, it would be better for productivity so it shouldn't really be labeled as a gaming monitor. but, it does get the job done.

Muy buena calidad de imagen y tamaño a un precio accesible. Es importante considerar que es un monitor VA, por lo que vas a tener algunas fugas de luz, pero eso es obvio porque es un monitor curvo. Esto quiere decir que el monitor es bueno para trabajos simples de oficina o como monitor de entrada gaming, no lo vas a poder usar para editar fotografías y dará algo de lata con películas en donde muchas escenas obscuras. De preferencia, hay que utilizar la configuración de Samsung Dinamic Contrast, definir el nivel de negros en bajo y tener el modo de juego siempre encendido.

I absolutely love this monitor! I upgraded from a very old acer 1680x1050 20" monitor and man am I glad I did. Love the Freesync integration, the build is beautiful, screen looks amazing. The only things I could ask for are a height adjustable stand (though I'm very happy it is vesa compatible) and a higher refresh rate. I'm also not a big fan of the joystick menu navigation as I would prefer dedicated buttons. To me these are all very small things though and I'm so happy with the product I'll soon be purchasing 2 more and setting up a curved surround setup WOOT WOOT!

This is my first curved monitor, and for the price I was really expecting a bit more, especially from Samsung. I've been using it as a primary display for several months now. Text and certain patterns have rainbowing that no amount of adjusting cleartype will get rid of. Smear/ghosting from light to dark is also very noticeable even with response time set to Fastest. I've tried several different cables with both HDMI and DVI with the same results. The design is nice but it did not deliver the image quality and performance I've come to expect from a Samsung product.

Tiene mucho mejor color que la mayoria de los monitores planos, cambie un par de planos por un par curvo y se nota la diferencia, le valoro todo como genial con excepción del boton con joystick atras, para apagarlo es incomodo tener que tocar detras del monitor y aparte mover el joystick para apagarlo, no lo apago al irme de la casa, pero la PC tiene 2 monitores y una TV, cuando veo la serie en la TV siempre apago los monitores y es incomodo apagarlos y prenderlos, hubiese sido mas funcional los botones touch como otros modelos que hace la misma Samsung

Solid choice for a reliable general-purpose display that is still going strong even after 5+ years of heavy usage. Decent for 1080p@60fps gaming and media. The contrast and black levels are fair to middling, but the limited color depth (no 4:4:4), lack of ports (1x (ea.) VGA/HDMI/DP), poor FreeSync/VRR support, noticeable light leakage at the panel edges, and wobbly plastic base mean that there are better options out there at a similar price point. While it isn't perfect, the fact that they still sell this thing (with only minor changes) says a lot.

monitor came brand new with three dead pixels... had to send it back in immediately for repair. came back with damage to the sides... oh well, had to use the monitor for work so had to deal with it... until three months after the first repair more dead pixels appear! sent it in again and now i am getting told there is no problem! i cannot believe the level of service and manufacturing for it to even come with dead pixels... really want a replacement but just keep getting the runaround. hopefully someone will see this and actually help. :(

So far so good with the newest curved Samsung monitor. I had considered and liked the look of the 591 series, but really wanted one with VESA mount capability, so I was glad to see the 398 series announced with VESA mounting. Seemed like great specs for the $$$ and so far I haven't been disappointed. Nice feature set, clear picture, smooth video, and lots of adjustment in the picture settings. Only thing I would change, it would be nice to be able to remove the stub on the back where the desk stand would connect to the monitor, since I'm using it with a monitor arm bracket. If there is a way to do so, I haven't figured it out yet. Certainly not a big deal, though. That said, I would highly recommend this to anyone considering a curved monitor!

as others have reviewed, the stand is truly awful. in addition to having 0 ability to adjust the height, swivel, rotation or anything regarding the orientation of the monitor in relation to the stand, my problem began even before that. the stand comes in two pieces - the base and the neck. there is a screw that goes into the base and is supposed to screw into the neck in order to connect them, but the stand and neck do not align correctly, and therefore i cannot screw the two pieces together. i have stand base that will not connect to the neck, rendering this whole product useless. the plastic of the stand itself is cheap and flimsy and seems like it barely supports the weight of the monitor. absolutely do not waste your time or money on this monitor.

this monitor is beautiful and working as well as playing on the computer is a much more enjoyable experience. i have never owned a curved screen monitor and now i will never go back to a standard flat display. the only real negatives i have about this monitor besides freesync being grossly overrated (which is typical on all monitors so that isn't a dig against samsung), but to turn off the monitor isn't as simple as it should be. you should be able to simply press a power button and *poof* it is off. on this monitor you have to press a button on the back of the monitor and toggle to power off to just shut off the screen. a minor annoyance, but still could have had better follow through on the design in that regard. other than that, i love this monitor!

The large displays and picture quality allows me to analyze pictures of various damaged vehicles and mechanical failures. In my profession it is very important that I am able to analyze small details that may impact the conclusions I come to. These monitors allow me to zoom in and get the details I need without sacrificing image quality. The curved screen also gives a more immersive feeling when viewing them all together. I highly recommend these monitors.

i recently purchased this monitor. it is only 4 inches larger than my dell monitor that i had whose drivers do not support windows 10 any more. so, i was forced by windows updates to purchase a monitor that did. well, i am so happy with this new monitor. i don't think i will go back to flat screens again. this is much easier on my eyes and i like the larger screen, which is as much as i wanted to take up space on my desk. i use this as an extended desktop with my samsun 13" laptop. i would definitely recommend this display!

For the price it's very affordable for someone that can't buy the high end Samsung monitors. It does have a few draw backs such and how delicate the screen is. A simple bump could crack the screen. The base of the monitor is difficult to remove for fear of cracking the screen. It's a great monitor for gaming and just every day use. The curved screen makes it easily seen from any view point. Love this one and going to purchase another.

I was using a flat 27" monitor for the past 5 years and over time, noticed that the large display was not the most ergonomic. I decided to switch to a curved monitor, and the curve is so subtle but it is perfect. The 24" size is perfect as well. I'm wondering why it took me so long to buy a curved monitor, but it was the best purchase I've made in a while, and is an investment in my eye health. Super easy to set up, as well, and very light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love the looks and features of this monitor, with very easy setup and plug n play hdmi capability, it is quite easy to use with my macbook. however, i have had this monitor on 2 different desks (one at my office, one at home) and it has been very shaky/unstable on both surfaces. even simple typing will cause the monitor to shake a great deal (making it difficult to utilize). it's as if the stand connection to the back of the monitor housing itself is not stable enough. does any one else have this problem?

I have a few other models of curved monitors. I just purchased this monitor during the Cyber Thanksgiving week 2024 and it was extremely easy to install (plug and play). It did take me a few minutes to figure out how to put the stand together. The display is very bright and love the size and function. Comes with HDMI cable. Resolution is crisp and clear.No issues to date. Wish it had the ability to move up or down but for the price, I can't complain. Would recommend to others.

No 4k is also ok, the games I play don’t need it. It’s got a slight curve to it, and it’s visually appealing. The price was nice. And I believe I have a 27” of the same monitor hooked up to the home computer which I have the same feelings about. Good stuff for a good price. And it’s Samsung, which usually means good dependability.

This monitor presents great value for an entry level curved LED full HD display. Key highlights include the picture quality, features (curved, Freesync) and the fast response time & full RGB 16.7 million colours support. Shortcomings if any would be the stand has very slight hang under monitor weight and that if i was greedy with unrealistic expectations HDR support would be an inclusion, although neither of these take away from this incredible offering.

Since my other screen died, I figured what the heck and it was on sale. Oh my! I have two screens and I'm going back for another Samsung curved screen. I WFH a few days a week and this had really helped with decrease in eye strain and I'm able to reduce the use of my reading glasses when using this monitor. I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it. Ive had a few different ones through the years. No issues at all. I game competitively, and the refresh rate is great even with not being the high end models so I can only imagine how great those are. The only thing I have that I could complain about is the buttons will stop working on the back, and the only way to fix it is the good ole love tap in the area. Usually LED will be out too which will come back on with the tap. I usually use it as a notification that the buttons work again. But that's a small complaint because they turn themselves on and off when the detect (or dont) an input. I gave an 8 out of 10 for that reason, and the little fact my models don't have speakers. Not a huge deal, I use a headset and I was aware of that when I bought them, just occasionally have to move to a different TV if I don't want to use my headphones.

the monitor itself is fine. the problem is that when you mount it you cannot remove the stub for the stand. it is actually hard to believe that someone thought that making it impossible to remove the stand attachment was a good idea. i buy a lot of samsung products because the design is usually pretty good. what a let down this purchase is. a customer can easily find similar monitors without the design flaw of this one.

Image is crisp, colors vibrant. The only fault I could mention, and it is a small one, is that with its OEM base, it sits a little low for my height. I bought an after-market adjustable stand for it and, once I got the original base detached, it mated perfectly to the monitor. Very happy with it.

Overall this monitor is a fairly good choice. The screen is big and has a much better color accuracy than I was expecting. I wasn't to fond of any features that the monitor provides such as AMD Freesync, Samsung Upscaling, or the anti glare night light setting, but I can see these features being highlights for other users. The monitor has a very slim and clean look with the menu navigator located on the back of the monitor which I really appreciate. The curved aspect of it isn't really noticeable to me, but that may just be because I haven't owned a screen of this size before. The biggest issue for me were a few pixel problems. The product shipped with a stuck pixel which was quite annoying, so I sent it back for repairs. About a week after the monitor was returned from repairs, a dead pixel has also just shown up and I don't really feel like sending it back again.

No sé si me equivoco pero activar el Freesync (tengo una tarjeta AMD Radeon RX5500M) hizo que, además de tener movimientos más fluidos, los colores y nitidez mejoren notoriamente. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two of these monitors which I use as a dual monitor setup for work. Three things about this product stand out: 1) Screen resolution: Without getting into numbers, I see a big difference in image sharpness on this monitor, very crisp images with minimal sidewall. 2) Curve: On the rather small 24 inch monitor size, the curve is excellent. With two monitors side by side, this gives a very all round experience all day long for me. Very natural viewing experience on both monitors. A bigger screen size would be too big for me, no curve wouldn't have allowed the same perfect view experience. 3) Sleekness: Because of being curved, the monitors are not flushed against the wall, but that doesn't give a bad view from the side of my desk due to the sleekness of the monitors, another aesthetic perk. I'd highly recommend, especially the cf396 for the sleeker stand compared to cf 390. Enjoy!

It was pretty good for gaming. Great color, vibrant, no noticeable issues but as a workstation monitor it is above and beyond! Screen looks much bigger than expected for a 24 inch and documents, emails, etc., are so much easier to read and work with!

this monitor is terrible. the screen is yellow and the holes in the back are 3" apart and don't fit standard stands. the desk stand is low and you can't take it off once you put it on. i don't know how i'm going to get it in the box but its getting returned. i just bought the 34" double wide monitor and its much whiter and a whole lot better. disappointed in this. stay away.

loved the monitor, picture quality. purchased it sept 2020. now feb 2022 the monitor will only stay on a few seconds at a time. i'm very disappointed because i like samsung products. i'm having to send the monitor back for service to samsung but i still need a monitor for work which means to borrow or purchase a new one. i do appreciate the customer service. they were helpful

i've had this monitor for almost a year now. it works really well with a nice clear screen and gives my computer a professional look. the curved screen does seem to draw the viewer in to whatever is being watched and seems much more realistic than a flat screen monitor. the build quality is excellent. i'm sure it will last a long time. i highly recommend this cf396 monitor.

I use it for work and personal use, but I was disappointed to realize it didn't have a camera during a Teams meeting. One of the monitors will go "snowy" and lose image every now and then, but it's out of warranty. I'm a big Samsung consumer, but this was a bit of a disappointment. But, I love the curved screen.

this is a very nice 27inch curved monitor, the screen resolution is great but the sound doesn’t seem to be working with hdmi. now i’m not sure the hdmi cable is enough for audio or you need to connect the jack into the sound port but either way there is no audio. i can’t see to find any troubleshooting or information about audio through the screen.

I am very pleased with these monitors. I am using two of them side by side. The purchase was driven, in large part, by the eye anti-fatigue feature, which I have really come to appreciate. It took a little getting used to, but I do find myself have considerably less eye fatigue at the end of a long day. Highly recommend, and I would buy again.

before the pandemic i did not work from home very often but since march my job has become remote so i have had to supply some home office equipment. i have some vision impairment and this size was perfect to balance my vision needs and space on my desktop. i did purchase an arm and the monitor and arm together have really made a difference.

my lc24 f390 fhn curved monitor boots up clear and sharp about half the time. the other half it boots up as a lot of flashing horizontal colored bars. this occurs both from start up and from sleep mode. the only solution so far has been to disconnect the hdmi cable from my nuc cpu and reconnect. i shouldn't have to do this.

Switching from and LG 24" flat (2yrs old) to this Samsung 24" Curved and let me tell you, it's night and day. First of, going from 1000:1 to 3000:1 ratio makes you feel how crisp pixels are. Also, you have dynamic, gamer and eyes saver mode which are pretty neet. Easy to install, plug and play in a jiffy!

I am highly disappointed in the structure of this monitor. The design was poor because the monitor is not balanced with its base. It wobbles from any slight bump on the table. There is nothing to keep the screen secure. The wobbling is extremely distracting when trying to work.

My monitor is less than a month old, and a very light tap to the top of the screen resulted in a crack and a 3cm black line down the screen. This monitor is way, WAY too fragile for day to day use. Do not buy this monitor if you ever think you will touch the screen in any way.
