So originally I had an LG ultragear monitor for my setup but I wanted something a bit smaller and ive always loved the g9 series but again didnt want anything that crazy so I decided to go for thr g5, and let me tell you I am not disappointed whatsoever! For an about $1000 difference, I can confidently say there is not a 1000$ difference in video quality between the two lol. For anyone considering the most expensive option of a monitor, dont be afraid to try something cheaper. Less expensive doesnt always mean complete trash hell or even less quality at all, sometimes you get lucky and find something that performs outside its weight class lol

The higher resolution makes everything so much clearer and because of that my eyes strain reduced. When I play games for extend periods of time this monitor is a go to, with a 180hz refresh rate everything feels smooth when gaming. The cherry on top is the colors with the screen being OLED the colors are so vibrant, and even with streaming movies you care appreciate the truest quality movies have to offer.

This monitor doesn’t have all the high-end features but is definitely more budget-friendly, but still preserves the best part of this line of monitors: the premier QD-OLED panel. It's plastic stand and trim is made of plastic instead of metal and the refresh rate is limited to 180 Hz, but Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync are supported. Peak brightness is lower than other models at 200 nits vs 300 nits in top of the line models, but in real-world use the difference is hardly noticeable. The monitor still has the same 3-year Samsung warranty that includes screen burn-in. Ultimately, this is a perfect budget-oriented OLED monitor that looks great and offers the best bang for your buck as Samsung’s best value OLED gaming monitor.

Hasta el momento es un esta perfecto, la calidad de construcción no es la mejor ya que tiene muchas partes en pastas pero se siente sólido en cuanto a sus botones y base. El panel se ve realmente bien y si cambias de un VA o un IPS se siente demasiado el cambio, sin embargo este panel mate tiene una desventaja frente a los oled glossy y es que en ambientes con iluminación media o alta, no tienes reflejos pero afecta el contraste o calidad de color por nivel de brillo de la pantalla. Sin embargo en ambientes con poca luz u oscuros, la experiencia con el panel me ha parecido excelente 👌 y la uniformidad de la imagen da una experiencia increíble. Por el precio lo recomiendo sin dudas, la respuesta del panel es muy excelente y en mi caso con la fluidez de los 180hz es suficiente para disfrutar de juegos y contenido multimedia. Y para no decir que todo es perfecto, este monitor genera un poco mas de calor que los otros tipos de paneles según mi percepción.

This monitor features several excellent care features such as pixel shift, logo dimming, and many more that keep your panel and pixels in great shape! With the worries about burn in gone, I can now enjoy the rich, vibrant colors of this QD-OLED display along with the deep blacks and high contrast. I find Samsung's QD version of OLED to be the nicest looking and best colors for my personal preference on looks. I find the 180hz refresh rate to be more than enough since any game that I want to look really pretty won't be past that number of frames anyway. I had a pretty nice monitor before, but the difference in color and contrast on this one is just next level. It really is the time to buy an OLED monitor now that the technology has matured and there isn't as big of a risk of burn in! Well worth the cost for the much better picture and contrast!

This is my first oled monitor and I'm absolutely blown away. I purchased the G50SF with my education discount, and for the price, I don't know how it could get much better. G-sync works well, text is clear, HDR is beautiful, the blacks are inky black, and the matte finish looks great. I'm very happy.

We've tried it with a few different setups in our house: a laptop, a Nintendo Switch, and an Xbox series X, and it worked seamlessly with all of them. The graphics are good, though it seems to be better for lower framerate systems like the switch versus having it connected to the Xbox. The size is great for gaming, watching movies, and even editing photos/videos. My kids love watching movies on this screen, and prefer using it over their little TV they have. The image quality is great when hooked up to their switch (as seen in the picture while playing their game). They also like connecting the laptop to this via HDMI to view their school on a bigger screen. Unfortunetly, the monitor doesn't have sound, but it was super simple just plugging in our external speakers for sound output. Overall, for our needs and use, this is a great monitor. The simplicity of it is nice for our kids, and it's easy to set up for anyone, even ones who aren't great with tech.

Samsung released a firmware update that enables 180hz, HDR10, 10-bit color depth. This monitor is AMAZINH. I may be mistaken but the panel care menu appears to have more to it now. Someone on Reddit mentiomed the update, but I see no release notes saying what else the new firmware does.

From the first time he turned it on, the difference was obvious. The screen looks incredibly clear, the colors are vibrant, and the blacks are deep, which makes his games feel way more immersive. Even if you’re not super techy, it’s easy to see how much better everything looks. The 27-inch size is perfect for gaming. It’s big enough to pull you into the game without being overwhelming on a desk. Motion is really smooth, which is huge for fast-paced games, and he immediately noticed how fluid everything felt compared to his old monitor. As a parent, I also appreciate that it’s comfortable for longer gaming sessions. The screen is easy on the eyes, and everything stays sharp and clear. The monitor has solid specs like a 180 hz refresh rate, HDR, and a beautiful OLED screen that shines in its form factor. Additional integrated features like support for G-Sync, AMD FreeSync and a plethora of safeguards for the OLED panel makes it feature rich without breaking the bank. makes it even better mes where every frame matters. This was my first time experiencing an OLED panel and it truly is a game-changing experience. This monitor has perfect, inky blacks that contrast perfectly with its color accuracy and vibrancy. The HDR experience has been very smooth so far by integrating perfectly with features like RTX HDR and enhancing further what was a great picture. There is room for improvement as the monitor does not have an adjustable stand and only supports vertical angling at the base. A future revision could perhaps add certain quality of life features while still maintaining the great value of everything else it brings to the table. I would highly recommend this monitor for anyone wanting to dip their toes into the OLED world at an affordable price point.

The no-holds bar visuals are by far the best I have seen on the market. This monitor is a must for your gaming experiences; contrast is insane, the colors are rich with perfection from zone to zone as you move about on any gaming adventure. My grandbaby who’s 9 years old was helping me with setup and she said it was easy peasy lol. Once the sturdy stand was attached, by the way only tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws on the side and a little tightening of the base screw the monitor and base was all set. The monitor is lightweight and comes with a nice anti-glare surface for easy moving if you would like to place it in a different area. I love the simple plug in with the included HDMI cable and everything synced instantly without any issues. Once the monitor is turned on its like it truly comes to life, my grandbaby said wow look at the colors of Mario car now lol..simply amazing, there was no lacking or slow movement as the screen changes and the color was absolutely spot on. This monitor delivers and is a must have for any gamer inventory. To sum it all up the Samsung’s 27" Odyssey OLED G5 QHD Gaming Monitor is lightweight, very easy to setup, insane bright colors, amazing contrast, high resolution, with lighting fast action, due to the built-in safeguard features no need to worry about overheating, enjoy and love the source Switch+ which allows switching between connected devices. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most people will never benefit from a flagship 500 Hz refresh rate monitor like the Samsung G60SF, because unless your device can even display 500 frames per second (fps) on your games, which most can’t, you’re going to be refreshing more than you need to. Enter the Samsung G50SF, the 180 Hz mainstream version of Samsung’s QD-OLED monitor line. Despite a 180 Hz refresh, this will refresh 3 times more than most people even need as most games are developed targeting 60 fps. Having the same panel quality of Samsung’s QD-OLED monitor series, the G50SF offers perfect blacks and an infinite contrast ratio which means there’s no backlight bleeding with washed-out backgrounds and muted colors. It does have an anti-glare matte finish that some complain has a purple hue. In my experience, however, this is actually accentuated by computational photography from people taking video and pictures of it, myself included, but is not as noticeable in real life. The monitor lacks many of the premium features seen in Samsung’s higher-end lines, including replacing the metal bezel and stand with plastic. Fortunately, this monitor’s plastic casing is black, and one of my complaints about the higher-end models is that the metal casings are silver, which makes those monitors feel “boxed-in.” Not so in this case, as the monitor edges blend into darkness without a discernible edge, hiding and somewhat obscuring the monitor's screen borders which I actually consider a feature than a cost-cutting measure. The stand, despite being plastic, is sturdy. Connectivity is limited to 1 DisplayPort (1.2), 1 HDMI port (HDCP 2.2), 1 USB just for updates, a headphone jack, and a power connector. There’s no USB-C, USB passthrough, or charging connectivity with this model. Nevertheless, where it counts, it supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, offers a nice 2560 x 1440 (1440p) maximum resolution, and carries a 3-year Samsung warranty which covers OLED burn-in. Overall, the G50SF may be the sweet spot for most gamers to upgrade to a very capable QD-OLED gaming monitor with essential features without breaking the bank.
