it was lovely for samsung to ask for product experience feedback on the same day i spent 45 minutes on hold with the samsung warranty dept. i've experienced the following issues: 1) the monitor occasionally will emit loud, sickening electrical popping sounds akin to electricity arcing between electrodes. 2) the usb-c connection sporadically doesn’t work. the screen drops out and goes black 3) the monitor is wobbly. it shakes with the smallest nudge. i bought this monitor based on brand loyalty. i recommended it to 3 friends. one friend purchased it as well. regret. the monitor was sent shipped back for repair. let's see is samsung can make this right.

Maybe I'm too spoiled as a Mac user. There's no built-in camera, okay no problem. But no auto brightness either. Not even keyboard brightness control. This means having to reach back to the tiny joystick and navigating several menus every day. And I'm running two of these side-by-side with a 2018 Mac mini, so that's double the physical fiddling every morning and night, once on the left, then again on the right. As for performance, so far so good, but there's a lag when booting up, even when using Apple's expensive 0.8M active Thunderbolt 3 cable. No built-in microphone, either. Otherwise it's pretty good as an adapted PC display.
I recommended this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mostly use this monitor for streaming and movies and you couldn't get a better experience if you took your eyes out and replace them with this monitor screen this is one of the most Innovative products that I've come across in the tech industry for quite a while if I was younger and play video games I couldn't imagine the fun it would be! Things in this world are changing so fast but this here has hit a level of Excellence that should keep it relevant for quite a while a lot of product are out-of-date more less what time you open the box but with this monitor I feel even with new technology coming out that you would still be quite satisfied with this for several years

Excellent écran, taille idéale et format addictif. Finesses d’affichage au point mais attention à la luminosité (parfois un peu juste) et aux angles de vision (très passables, mais logiques compte tenu de la courbure de la dalle). La restitution des couleurs est bonne et plutôt juste par défaut, tout du moins à l’oeil nu (pas de sonde sous ma main pour vérifier tout ça) et la connectique au top. J’utile cet écran pour Mac et PC en switchant entre les sources Thunderbolt 3 et DisplayPort. Tout fonctionne au poil. J’apprécie également le pied, bien conçu. Dommage qu’il ne soit pas un peu moins volumineux.

This one beautiful screen replaced two 24 inches screens mounted on a shared stand that was unstable and clunky (and ruined my Feng shui). I like the sleek aesthetics of this screen. It fits well on my smallish desk. The resolution is stunning and has a fast refresh rate. It accommodates Thunderbolt, display port, DC24V, and HDMI inputs. It has USB and a headphone jack ports, although the location of these on the rear is not ideal. It is somewhat adjustable altho improvements could be made there too. Highly recommended. Life is short...be fabulous!

I bought this almost a year ago and I kept my gaming monitor as well since this one was for business, but my experience is that this monitor is as good with AAA gaming as it is with Microsoft Office! I'm sure if I really studied the pixels during fast action scenes, I may be able to see that my ASUS gaming monitor is better, but after many hours of play, I see no difference in visual quality. Some older games don't always like the wide screen, but most just put black frame bars on the left and right of the game display, using the game's highest preset resolution option with no distortion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 34" curved monitor has completely transformed my work experience. * Clear, bright monitor, adjustable in every direction. * Wide aspect ratio allows for many application windows to be placed side by side * Curved screen gives a slight wrap around feeling to content on the furthest left and right edges of the screen making those items feel closer to the viewer than if that content was on a flat panel screen * Thunderbolt and USB-C ports allow for all of the computers and items on my desk to run through the back of the monitor with one wire connecting and powering either my Mac or PC.

I completely revamped my set up away from a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" to a 2018 Mac Mini. Although I had a Dell 4k monitor, a widescreen monitor was on my short wishlist for the new set up. Monitor is gorgeous aesthetically. Display quality is top notch and having a single cable connection via TB3 is a boon. Daisy chaining several TB3 devices was a must - Lacie 2Big RAID, BlackMagic external ECU - and this monitor works perfectly. Great for Final Cut Pro. Great for working with two documents, such as an Excel worksheet and a Powerpoint PPT alongside. Highly recommend this monitor!

I found it to be perfect to have my personal laptop, work laptop and my Roku plugged into it so I can work and watch multiple windows all at once. I also can plug in my headset and listen to a specific call. The clarity of the monitor is also wonderful.. I hope the next generation of this monitor comes with a remote control so you can do things like turn up/down the volume without having to reach behind the monitor. Also a web camera would be great.

For those not familiar, that is a gaming laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 port. As soon as I turned it on I just had to click ok for a pop up for the Thunderbolt 3 and the monitor showed up right away. Essentially I can have three screens by cutting the Samsung monitor in half and keeping my laptop on. This is a productivity monster. The QLed was another component I was interested in and boy does it have a bright crisp color on the screen. I do not own a MacBook with a thunderbolt 3 port, but I can say with certain that it works without a hitch and is a must buy for those on the market for a widescreen monitor with thunderbolt 3 windows PC.

I love the size of this monitor in that I can be modeling and looking at reference images side by side on the same seamless screen while having other windows open in the background. The excellent resolution and color enables me to work on photos in Lightroom or other graphics in Photoshop with beautiful results. I highly recommend this monitor to graphics professionals or to anyone who loves good quality, stylish hardware.

I did remove the stand and use a VESA arm desk mount, it is very easy to adjust. I have two devices connected, one via HDMI and one via DP, it detects both immediately and has no trouble switching from my PC to my laptop when needed. The one con I have is that the USB-C Thunderbolt is not very reliable when connecting it to my phone, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Not a big deal as I never use the Samsung DEX, but would be nice to have a reliable source of power.

It has a high contrast ratio due to its VA panel and displays deep but not very uniform blacks. It is more suitable for an average lit room as it cannot get very bright to fight bright room glare. It has great gray uniformity, which is great for browsing the web, but the bad viewing angles make it unsuitable for working side by side with a colleague. It has great motion handling with a fast 100Hz refresh rate, supports FreeSync and has a low input lag to please gamers.

Well I can truly say this monitor is amazing. I have used this mainly for work as I love having one screen that splits into two to display two large screens or split further into 4 quarter displays. I have also used it for gaming. The screen is colour rich and sharp. This makes watching videos a pleasure to watch and online gaming experience far better than on a large LED TV. The response time of the screen is also very impressive. The curved screen is great as you feel closer to the screen. The built-in speaks produce a high-quality sound. This reducing the need for additional speakers and frees up plug sockets. I have certainly enjoyed using this Samsung CJ79 curved monitor. This has drawn plenty of attention from my colleagues at work.

I moved from a Samsung 34" Ultrawide flat screen to this as I wanted to experience the curved effect and also to use the 2x Thunderbolt 3 connections to connect two Macs to it. The price upgrade was significant. Very very disappointed to find out that you can't use both T3 ports for display inputs. Why not? Surely that is the point? This also means that I cannot connect two Macs and benefit from the USB Hub on both. It's a partially finished product and none of this is explained the website or in the misleading marketing messages.

She loves it and loves using it on a daily basis. I wish it was easier to connect with another monitor with out some port connector needed. Its been amazing using it to work as i said would love to get another display like this one. But for a single display it opens up multiple tabs and looks like 2 14" momitors. The use of the usb ports in the back makes it feel like its own laptop. Plug anything into it and the computer reads it as if its part of it. I gave it 4 stars because i feel that it could be better connectivity with 2 monitors without needing a port connector. But im happy makes wish i bought a bigger one

A month ago I first bought 890 Series 34" Curved monitor. I try to use a macbook and a windows computer simultaneously on the PBP mode. 890 Series had only 1 type-C connection so I returned it explaining why I buy this monitor. I was adised to buy CJ791 as it had two thunderbolt-3 outputs. Having the proper cabling I connected my macbook and windows PC at the same time over two separate thunderbolts. However, I was shocked to see there is no option to select usb/thunderbolt C for both sources among PBP selections. Hence I end up with paying even more just not to be able to solve my problem again. If there is an update or any solution to help me to display two sources over two thunderbolts at the same time with PBP please contact me this is very frustrutating.

It allows efficient multitasking due to the size and is also a high resolution. Although it is not 120 or 144 hz, 100 hz is smooth enough and it is worth settling for considering the amount of real estate you are paying for. And trust me you are paying for it considering the higher price point that this offered at. Also the Thunderbolt 3 has proved useful in my field. All around solid picture, frame rate, and size. Definitely worth the money.

There's no glare and bezels are thin. I also have gotten a lot of compliments on my monitor for it's design. It can be vesa mounted and the sound is also decent. Only minor problems I have with it is that there are some light leaks on the side where the monitor isn't properly glued down and that the chrome looking parts on the photo are plastic and can be scratched easily.

The crisp white with silver edging went perfect with my gaming PC, as well as the slim border to enhance the experience. The performance has been amazing. It's quick and vibrant color. The only thing I've found annoying is the button for the settings and on off, it requires a double tap to turn on. Then to turn off its tap down tap again. I'd recommend a separate button for power and menu.

I love how the curves really make you feel like you're in the game, almost like a 360 experience. The graphics come alive and the sound is amazing. they advertise that this monitor has 2 usb-c ports, dp port, hdmi, and 2 usb slots for things like mouse and keyboard that can be a single input. sadly, the 2 usb slots for mouse/keyboard only works with usb-c connection, and although i have 2 computers that can have usb-c inputs, the chat support person tells me i can't connect 2 separate computers into the 2 separate usb-c ports to display. if you built two separate slots, make them both work to display two separate computers!

My father bought this for me over a year ago, and to this day it still works! Quality is excellent; I can easily plug in my headphones, though I needed to buy a headphone mic splitter to be able to plug it into the monitor, screen works amazingly even after turning it on, playing video games, and turning it off when I'm done, and audio is clear and loud enough for me to hear! If I can't hear anything without my headphones, I can just turn up the volume or turn down the volume if it's too loud! It also never shuts off randomly and anyone can easily plug their gaming laptop or PC into the monitor without any problems at all. Since it is a widescreen monitor, you have to turn your head to look at a different spot in the screen, but for me, I'm totally fine with that! I am completely satisfied with my monitor!!

I am a software developer and benefit a lot from having multiple screens open simultaneously. I can easily open 4 windows on this. It reduces strain on my eyes the colors are crisp. Take that information with grain of salt as I don't work in multimedia but it's good emough for my purpose. This monitor also has two type C ports, one of which can spit out 85W which I use to charge my laptop and said goodbye to the charger. The second type C port can output 15W, which can charge your smartphone. It also has HDMI and USB-A port. Cherry on top is this monitor also has a built in speaker and is loud enough so that I can take my meetings on it. All in all a great purchase. Very happy with it.

I've had the display for 3 weeks. Really nice connection through USB-C and my Macbook pro 2018(late). BUT a major drawback is the sound problems. I intermittently disables the sound. I you have to manually reset the display to default before if works again. Moreover you cannot control the display with the dedicated mac keyboard shortcuts (brightness or sound). I really hope that especially the sound issue will be fixed ASAP. Untill then I cant recommend this display.

I have been on my TV for a good while which is probably why I have somewhat of an issue with this, since theres a difference. However the product is still great and I'd high recommend buying it. I love the white color and the silver base, a great combination truly. Also a remote would have been great to add with the monitor, sometimes reaching in the back can be annoying.

You might want to do that, as well, since in addition to its wide, 21:9 aspect ratio it’s a jolly big screen, measuring a substantial 34in across the diagonal; Samsung also introduces a dramatic 1500R curvature here, the idea being to provide a more immersive viewing experience than a flat monitor.

i had this monitor for about a month when it's display port stopped working. the hdmi still works. i contacted support and sent it in for repair. when i got it back, the display port works but it now does not power my laptop. that is one of the reasons i purchased it. it also will flash briefly, a microsecond or so. i read somewhere that this is a known issue and to get a sine wave ups. i did and it still flickers. i'm don't think i would purchaes another.

i a looking at monitors over 40 hours a week. the cj791 is my primary monitor for work and i love it. i also have a much more expensive monitor i use for gaming, but it cost twice as much for 2/3 the size. i bought this monitor for business and because it works especially well with both my windows and my mac laptops. it's white glossy enamel back and silver base are very sleek and well designed for any décor. it even came with a white hdmy cable!

This should be a great monitor, however I am requesting a 2nd exchange. My first monitor developed a stuck blue pixel on a black screen near the centre of the display. The 2nd I received had 5 black dead pixels around the screen. This monitor would serve me well but for the cost its the only screens I've seen in the last 10 years that have these kinds of faults. I use it between my MacBook Pro, Work PC Laptop and my Gaming Desktop. All three can be connected at once, and the USB-C is very convenient as it means that one cable can plug into either laptop, and they're getting charged and automatically connected to the keyboard and mouse. So much space for multitasking. Cable management is also very good Really do hope my 3rd monitor lives up to expectations. This would be my perfect monitor if it were not for the defective pixels.

This monitor gives me plenty if room to have the different windows I need opened and still be able to see what is in them. Crystal clear picture means no squinting at lines of code or outputs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an avid gamer and content consumer and for a long time I've been interested in QLED and recently I wanted to try out ultra-wide for my second ever personal monitor (my first was a VA 1080p basic LCD panel) and I am in love with the display! The resolution is much better for upclose content consumption, the display is bright enough and fast enough for high comfort, and the colors are naturally richer and deeper as advertised (and warmer which made the overall picture too warm for me so turning up the blue vibrancy by 5 to 10 notches balances out perfectly for me). It's overall a perfect monitor for a younger PC user like me whether I game, work, or watch videos, however I wish that it supports HDR. I would be somewhat disappointed if I paid full price, but again, I'm new at using monitors and it's more than good enough to justify spending the money!

I've been having issues connecting DisplayPort mini adaptor from iMac 5K to monitor. Display port 1.2 setting doesn't work, but 1.1 does. wondering what the issue is. The joystick button and selection of video mode (Hdmi, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt 3.) isn't the best or most intuitive User eXperience. You have to wait till it cycles through all the modes itself and then after a minute or so, you can change the input manually.

I purchased this monitor to mount it on an Ergotron monitor arm. The description says it is VESA compatible, but when I got the monitor, there was no way for me to mount it on the monitor arm, because they did not provide the bracket that makes it VESA compatible. This is false advertising and you will have to go find a bracket which is impossible to find! Don't buy this monitor if you are looking to mount it.

Love this monitor! Replaced three 22" monitors with a bulky mount to this one. I am a technical writer by trade and this monitor gives me the ability to have multiple windows open at once without feeling like I am scanning across the room. It's very comfortable on the eyes. I am giving this four stars because I bought this monitor because of the built in Thunderbolt docking station. My company uses Dell and this monitor only support 85 watt charging, where as my Dell support 140 watt. It still charges my laptop, but slowly. So, I just use the portable power supply that came with the computer to charge it, the USB-C from the monitor for the display, and I also have a USB-C camera. Unfortunately, the USB-C camera I have doesn't work through the USB-C port on the monitor. So I have to plug it into the laptop. Other than those few things I am hooked on the curve monitors.

This is what I consider the "middle ground" for those wanting a sub-4K resolution but decent refresh and response rate for gaming. Unfortunately, the resolution just doesn't quite meet my expectations and this becomes immediately apparent when dragging content from the retina (MacBook Pro) display over to the CJ791; the text is pixilated. My experience with the monitor ended up straining my eyes.

Just as many other reviewed. This monitor has very poor workmanship. The monitor came with panel detached from the bezel on the top. The LED light shines through the gap directly. There are also a few dead pixels here and there. I like the features it provides, especially the thunderbolt 3 interface. However, it failed in a very important aspect, the quality. Will have to return it. Buyer beware!

When streaming in HD the screen is smooth, never choppy. The colors are crisp and clear. No fuzziness or hesitations. The settings are also easy to use and tweeking the colors, sizes and brightness are easily adjusted. This screen will handle all the tasks you give it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor for gaming and WAS NOT disappointed it opens up your gaming experience in ways I didn't think possible, it's almost as if you're actually there the first time I used it I thought I had on VR glasses, the colors and graphics are so vivid and pronounced you feel like your walking in an alien world expecting to trip over some piece of scrap junk and you feel like you can rest against a building and the graphics are so vivid you see things you've never seen that you stop to look at things that you risk being shot by opposing players, all in all I highly recommend this monitor it's definitely 5 stars, a 10 out of 10, the only thing missing are the smells although I'm sure their engineers are working on that so until they introduce that I've definitely got my gaming monitor and streaming movies off it is just the same the sounds are clear, crisp and concise along with the picture.

Made my decision almost entirely based on the brand loyalty. Bought this CJ791 from nationwide retailer. It came in the CJ791 box. Manufacturer's label reads CJ791. Except it is CF791, based on both ports and what says inside the "menu=>information". Manufacturer's label shows no signs of manipulation. Had a great time returning it in. And you complain about a dead pixel. Quality, huh?

First, I really enjoy this monitor. I can't see myself ever going back to a non-curved monitor. That said, my problem is that the monitor tilts to the right by 1/2" to 3/4". I placed a paperclip in the joint where the arm attaches to the back. It's now level. [I had returned one other with the same issue, so the issue must not be a one off. Btw, my desktop is level, I checked].

The curved screen is ideal for this set up, a similar effect to having two monitors with each one angled toward the viewer. Second, the picture is amazing - I have never had a high-quality picture for a computer monitor since I use it mostly for work but the 4k definitely is easier on the eyes. My kids have even watched some movies on it and love it! Third, and probably the most amazing feature is the Thunderbolt connection. This means no docking station is required. My keyboard and mouse dongle and USB hub is plugged into the back of the monitor. Just one cable connected to my laptop and the monitor and it functions without a dock. It charges the laptop too. This makes it such a clean setup. I love this monitor and now thinking about getting one for my wife's office!

This is a review after using it for about a year now. The first monitor from another company was larger than this product, but now the monitor has become a sub-monitor. In particular, it was a new world even though I am studying computer major as to the function of Thunderbolt. First of all, I use this monitor with a laptop, I can connect the screen and charge at the same time, so the adapter cord is gone. Also, the speaker performance is so good that computer speakers are gone. The USB receiver of the wireless mouse keyboard can also be connected to the monitor, so the USB hub has disappeared. On the back of the monitor, peripherals such as a desktop can be connected. Desks are tidy and work efficiency has increased. Very satisfied. The thunderbolt monitor is amazing.

i've had no issues, excellent display, perfect for my mac mini, utilizing thunderbolt and which needs a better audio source. only minor downside is the volume control, which is not controllable via the os, but the picture, responsiveness, and perfect size/curvature make this worth the price. i wanna see a newer thunderbolt model to go with the new m1 mac minis.

I was able to get rid of my external speakers and power block and it gives a great picture. With Displayport 1.1 i was able to add another monitor. Ideally it would have maybe one or two more usb and or one more monitor input option, but i was able to use it quite handily and simplify my setup.

Ik heb de Samsung monitor nu een paar weken in huis, en geniet er enorm van. Wat een prachtig scherm! Je weet niet waar je moet kijken. Ik gebruik het scherm onder andere voor games. Racegames zijn echt gaaf, je hebt nóg meer het gevoel dat je er helemaal in zit. Ik ben kritisch in scherpheid, kleurhelderheid etc. en ik wil echt niet anders meer. Voor fotobewerking is dit scherm ook erg prettig. Het is belangrijk dat kleuren zo echt mogelijk worden weergegeven, wat hierbij ook echt gebeurd. Nu maakt het minder uit in welk licht je bewerkt, want het scherm is erg waarheidsgetrouw! Daarnaast is dit scherm perfect voor werkzaken, omdat je gemakkelijk twee programma's naast elkaar kunt plaatsen. Drie is zelfs niet onprettig! Soms voelt dit scherm zelfs te luxe voor de zaken waar ik het voor gebruik, maar klagen zul je me dus niet zien doen ;-) Qua aansluitingen heb je ruim voldoende, ook de USB-C aansluitingen zijn erg fijn.

A year and a couple of months after I bought the monitor, I started seeing black lines that seemed to get worse over time. I have not moved the screen and pretty sure it is not physically damaged. It is clearly a manufacturing issue. How convenient to happen exactly after the warranty has ended. Very disappointed! save your money and get another monitor.

Hi -- I bought this monitor because I love big screens but the connection with my MAC doesn't work properly. It constantly flickers and I have to take out the back panel to wedge it in the port . The stand comes off, but leaves behind bit that sticks out about 2 inches from the back of the screen that doesn't - responsible for the tilting of the monitor itself. Toyed with sawing it off but means the original stand is completely useless if I need to unmount for any reason. Doesn't fit any VESA wall mounts, can't find ANY solution online.

While it still works, it now has vertical darker areas in the center of the screen while both the left and the right edges are missing colours and are smudgy. Must have a 40Gbps Thunderbolt cable from the computer to the first monitor or it does not work. With the 40Gbps cable, it is amazing. The screen is huge and with 2 or more of them there is ample workspace for multiple spreadsheets to be open at once.

Been using this monitor with my macbook pro as a charger and screen for years and it works great. I am upgrading to a mac studio soon. This makes me wonder if i plug in to my mac studio if it will still do the 85 watt charge to my desktop. I dont want it sending a charge to my desktop computer and damage the port.

The big screen allows me to open multiple pdfs and docs simultaneously while I write. I also work with MATLAB and Adobe to create high res images, the color reproduction from this monitor allows me to vizualize my data better. Saving the best for last, watching movies at 21:9 aspect ratio is amazing. No more black bars while watching movies. Pros: 1) Amazing resolution 2) Large screen surface area for better multi-tasking 3) PIP mode to use multiple laptops or gaming system 4) Excellent audio quality for a monitor 5) Good refresh rate for gaming Cons: 1) No wireless connection (expected for monitors but will be a good feature to have in future) 2) Cant achieve a good resolution while Connecting via Chrome-cast 3) 16:9 (YouTube or Netflix) videos will have black bars 4) Can't maintain the aspect ratio while connecting to devices like Roku or Xfinity flex

I probably spend upwards of 12 hrs/day infront of my computer so something that's comfortable and fast refresh/high performance monitor with versatility is what I needed. This monitor really fits the bill and I would recommend it to anyone.

Its got two thunderbolt slots one hdmi and a DP Can be used with pc, mac, samsung phones. 100hz refresh rate , good for gaming too. This would be ideal for work from home situation where u choose to have just one monitor. Inbuilt speakers are decent. Display is vibrant

these monitors are some of the best i’ve seen for data-intensive displays. the multipacks make it easy to order several at a time and assemble an excellent workflow; our workstations are almost legacy-free. connections work well, and the reliability issue has been solved this time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best monitors I have used for various tasks. Day To day use, watching YouTube videos, doing some light to moderate gaming. Playing Call Of Duty was an awesome experience with a wider field of view. This screen will not disappoint no matter what the task is.

You dont need a seperate hub to connect the screen, everything is there. I want to try a dual screen with this product and see the true power of it.

I bought my CJ791 Dec 2022 for my 2022 Mac Studio with OS 13.1 (22C65). Love the design and curved screen. Not so happy with the JOG switch functionality. Would prefer using computer settings. This monitor's firmware volume control is not compatible Mac OS.

La verdad que tras un año de funcionamiento estoy mas que satisfecho con esta compra, Lo espera blanco total y al verlo está mezclado con gris en el marco y peana algo que me decepciono al verlo pero ya me e acostumbrado, lo gasto con mi Macbook Pro a diario.
