Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Create a GIF image from photos in Gallery

Create your own fun GIF images with photos stored in the Gallery app. Unlike videos, GIFs are highly compressed image formats that look like short animations. The basic way to make a GIF is to combine the photos stored in the Gallery app. Follow the steps below to convert multiple photos into one GIF image.

Once saved you will be able to view the created GIF image in your Gallery app.

Your Galaxy phone's camera provides a featured called the burst mode, also called continuous shooting mode, whereby you can capture several photos in quick succession by swiping down on the shutter button. If you make a GIF image from the burst shots taken, it may look like a smoother animation. Follow the steps below to create a GIF image from a burst shot.

Step 1. Open the Camera app and ensure you have selected PHOTO as your camera mode.

Step 2. Swipe down on the Shutter button and release the Shutter button when you want the burst shot to end.

Note:

  • If you are noticing a GIF is being captured instead of a burst shot, you may need to change the Swipe Shutter Button settings. Simply head into your Camera settings > tap on Swipe Shutter button to > select Take Burst shot.

With simple camera settings you can create GIF images right from the Camera app. Take GIF images from your camera and view them in the Gallery app. Follow the steps below to change the camera settings.

Note: Device screenshots and menu may vary depending on the device model and software version.
