Using the Delay End Function on your Samsung Washing Machine

The Delay End function on your Samsung washing machine, allows you to set the end time of your cycle for a later time. It can be delayed for up to 24 hours, at 1 hour increments. Depending on the cycle and delay time set, your washing machine will automatically set the appropriate start time to match your desired delay end time. You can easily make use of this function to program your machine to finish a wash at the time you normally return home from work.

For example, if you want to set a 2 hour cycle at 2PM, but want to end 3 hours later at 5PM. You can set the delay end feature to 3 hours, and your washing machine will determine that the cycle will need to start at 3PM for it to end at 5PM, and will apply that start time automatically.

Follow the general guide below to help you get started using the delay end function. 

Please be advised that designs and features can vary depending on the model of your washing machine. It is recommended to refer to your user manual for detailed steps that are specific to your model.

Generally, there will be a  clock icon on your washing machine to illustrate the Delay End function.

After selecting your cycle, simply press the  Delay End button to enable the function and choose the amount of hours you would like - it goes by 1 hour increments per press. Then press Start/Pause to start your cycle. Based on the hours you selected for delay, the start time of the cycle will be determined automatically by your washing machine.

If you have a Simple UX Design washing machine model, as shown in the example below, you will not have a  clock icon for the delay end function. In this case, the following steps can help:

Step 1. After selecting your desired cycle, tap the  hand icon 

Step 2. Turn the Navigation dial to select Delay End, and then tap the  circle icon.

Step 3. Turn the Navigation dial to select the desired time, and then tap the  circle icon.

Step 4. Tap and hold Start/Pause.

• Status shows in the display and the washing machine tumbles the drum to sense the weight of the load (if load sensing is preset for the selected cycle). When load sensing is complete, the display shows the remaining time until the end of the wash cycle. 
• To cancel Delay End, tap the Power button to restart the washing machine.
