The Act gives eSafety improved powers to help protect Australians from online harm.

The eSafety Commissioner aims to prevent online harm through research, education programs and raising awareness as well as protect users through regulatory schemes and investigations under the Online Safety Act.

How to limit access to harmful or sensitive content when using Samsung products

Smartphones and Tablets

Samsung Kids is an application that allows users to monitor their children’s use of certain Samsung devices. It lets you shape a safe environment for your child to happily explore and connect with the world. To learn more head to our page, Using Samsung Kids.

Note: Samsung Kids is compatible with Samsung devices running Android™ Pie (9.0) OS and subsequent versions.

For older children, users can download ‘Google Family Link for parents’ to add content restrictions and set other limits to help your child balance their screen time via parental controls. To learn how to set this up head to our guide, Using Parental Controls on my Samsung Phone.

Smart TVs

You can also ensure your child views kid-friendly content through parental controls on your Samsung TV. You can restrict usage of TV apps, channels and programme ratings and allow usage only via your TV's PIN. To learn more head to our page, Using Parental Controls on my Samsung Phone.
