Samsung Trade-Up is not limited to only Samsung products, we assess a range of devices from a variety of brands. We also understand that after a few years of use, your device may not be in perfect working order. - What is Samsung Trade-Up?
Samsung Trade-Up provides you with the opportunity to trade in your current eligible smartphone for an amount of credit that can put towards the purchase price of a new eligible Samsung smartphone or tablet.
- How does it work?
Visit a store to get credit for your existing device or visist our online portal to get an estimate of the credit value you could receive from your current device from here before you visit a Samsung Retail Store.
The credit value can be put towards an eligible Samsung smartphone or tablet.
- Will I need to provide a proof of purchase for the device I want to trade-up?
No. But you will need to make sure that the device has not been registered as lost or stolen. Your device also needs to be unlocked with "Find my iPhone/iPad" disabled.
- Which devices can be traded-up?
The list of eligible devices varies on a frequent basis. View our current eligible device list through our online assessment portal by clicking here
- What if my device is broken or damaged?
We also provide credit values for both working and damaged devices. Visit our online assessment portal to receive an estimate of the store credit that you may obtain for your device. You can visit the online portal by clicking here
Please note that the actual amount of store credit for your device will be provided in store after a staff assessment.
- Do I need to be an Australian resident to be an elibile for Samsung Trade-Up?
Yes. To be an eligible candidate for the Samsung Trade-Up Program, you will need to be an Australian resident. Please bring along supporting documents to prove your registered address (please see the "Identification" tab for what other documentation will you need to provide).
You will also need to be 18 years of age or older.
- What other documentation will you need to provide?
On the day of trade in, please make sure you bring in adequate identification so that our staff can identify you and confirm your address to process your purchase. You will need to bring a source of ID that can confirm the following:
• Date of Birth;
• Residential address; and
You can use an Australia driver’s licence, or a passport and a utility bill. Please also bring the device you plan to trade in.
*Eligible new Samsung devices are subject to change and will be updated by Samsung from time to time.
** Please note that by trading in your device, you will have surrendered the device to Samsung. Please ensure that you save and then delete all files and data from your trade in device before you trade it in. Please see the customer terms and conditions prior to handing your device in for Samsung Trade-Up.
