    I have completed a windows 8 refresh on my Samsung DP500A2D-A01UK and now bluetooth won't work. I have tried downloading bluetooth updates via windows update and Samsung's SW update but although the updates are downloaded there is always an error when I try to install. I've searched for a solution on the internet and it appears many other people have had this problem.

    Samsung helpdesk advised to press F4 when booting computer to take back to factory settings. I really didnt want to do this so thought Id try upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1 (available free from the Store App). After 8.1 was installed I updated Bluetooth driver via SW updates and it installed successfully (this always failed when running Windows 8). So Bluetooth is now working again. Happy happy happy.

    It looks like my OS has crashed and all attempts to get the computer to boot windows8 do not work. only options seems to be a complete re-install of Windows8. But I do not have any recover CD as the computer came with no OS CD.

    When I try to make a back up of the files on my newly-purchased computer it says I need an authentication key. I don't understand this.

    Hi Mr King, This should be possible as long as the physical dimensions of the new HDD are the same as the old one. However it is always advised that you contact a service centre to make sure that this can be carried out, they may also be able to provide you with a cost to fit a new HDD and carry out the service for you.
