I love my Samsung galaxy pro tab 12.2 but is is old and needed to be replaced. I got this one with high expectations but am disappointed. It is harder to use because everything is so complicated. And who makes and tablet with a pen without a place for the pen on or in the tablet? I guess someone thought the magnetic option was good. Not. And the user interface is needlessly complicated. I miss my old tablet very much. If it could be updated to still work properly I would never have bought this one.

I'm very disappointed with this tablet. My old Galaxy works fine. This one socks up power like nothing I've ever seen. I have to charge it every day. My other one, same apps & activities, every few days. I tried setting the limit to 85% & charging at about 15% or 20%; no difference. Yes, it is on fast charge, with fast charge cables. I use the same for the old tablet. Also, it has started flickering the screen, turning black then on again multiple times every couple seconds.

Bought this tablet on October 30 2021. I'm a student so my use for this tablet was note taking. I am very careful with my electronics, I bought the book cover for this tablet and use a protective case in my backpack to carry it. I do not throw my backpack around, and I set it down lightly because my laptop is also in the backpack. Inexplicably, my tablet's screen broke less than one week after the warranty expired. So after about one year of light use, the tablet broke. Again, I only used it for note taking and homework, and while I did move the tablet around, I am careful with my backpack and I carry the tablet inside a protective case in my backpack. Very disappointed with the longevity of this device. If you are a student who plans on moving the tablet off of your own desk, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for tablets.

I've had this tablet for a few years now, we use it in the car for my toddler to watch movies/shows while on long trips. I took it out of the car to charge, and set it on top, and I forgot it was there. I then drove about a mile, where it fell off. Someone found it and returned it. It has NO significant damage and still works just the same. A couple scuff marks, but the screen is still pristine! Great quality and wonderful product!

I literally bought this tab recently and I don't have any regrets doing so. I don't know why I see negative reviews on this tab as it works great for me. The features are great.... Just that you have to buy fonts as there are only 3 fonts on this device that are provided. Apart from that, I would recommend people to get this tab as it is affordable. If you want data then buy the 5G version... If not the wifi one is great

I have been using it for almost a year ans I must say it is a very impressive tablet. The display is beautiful, the battery is an absolute beast, I can use it for many lenghty hours in a day and the charge will still be more than 60%. Very good performance, the S pen works very smoothly, can handle many tasks at once, great multi tasking ans as a student I find this to be one of the best devices for students.

Bought this a month ago. Installed the upgrade with RAM Boost that made it faster. Now just yesterday (9 Apr 22), I recieved the Android 12 upgrade to OneUI 4.1. Happy. Overall it performs as a mid range Andriod. Not blazing fast but adequate. As a 12.4" tablet with its own keyboard, it performs excellently as a backup laptop and epub and reading platform. Loved it !

Not big as the tab S8 ultra and not small as a 10 or 11 inch tablet. It's a perfect device for media consumption and reading. It might not have a flagship processor but with 8GB RAM you can breeze through most of the tasks. Reading ebooks or watching a movie the screen is amazing.

i have had multiple samsung tablets, but this one is very disappointing. it constantly goes dark or turns off completely, usually in the middle of doing something. it's not a matter of inactivity. i've been offered several "fixes" that do absolutely no good. i wish i had returned it before the limited warranty expired, but now i'm stuck with this lemon.

please Please PLEASE add the option on Samsung notes to add faint lines on top of PDF files and imported images. I import a lot of PDF files from school to save on paper and a lot of them are worksheets that don't have lines so its difficult to write straight. I know there is a straighten option for written notes but it doesn't always work. Thanks!

I have no idea why it only recognizes my face 5% of the time. It doesn't matter what lighting I am it. I could be right up close or far away enough distance, and it still doesn't register. It keeps saying no face detected when I am staring right at it. Very annoying. Other than that, everything else is fine. Minus 1 star for face recognition.

Quick system, perfect size and quality of visuals is really good. Easy to use. S pen is smooth and nice size. Only thing is when writing directly on, for example, a search bar, the tablet doesn't really detect the letters very well and instead writes out some weird words. Even if I slow down and slowly write it out it can still make mistakes.

I am disappointed with the display of this tablet as there is a yellow tint, and I had to install an app to reduce it. And it does have the vibrate function, so I don't have haptic feedback when using the on-screen keyboard. The tablet is also quite laggy, the face recognition feature does not work sometimes.

i got this via ipad air trade in. i used ipad air for 5 years and concerned of changing to samsung product, but the deal was so good so i just went ahead. no regret so far. the galaxy tab is faster and much smoother to operate than ipad. also google's android system is user friendly and more customizable.

I'm reviewing as a package with expensive book cover from Samsung. I bought this device hoping it would be my second productivity device, for reading, working with documents (ppt,word) and some light email work, however it's not more than gimmicky content consumption device. Sure it's ok for watching videos and playing some light games. In a lot I think it's Android problem, apps (even with Samsung Dex) are not optimized for productivity. For example Slack on tablet is the same as on the Phone, meaning there is no channel/messages bar on the left and it's hard to monitor the messages for work. Same goes for PPT editing and doc writing, it's just less productive than Windows devices such as Surface GO (which I eventually switched to for lightweight work). I thought it'd be OK, since we are using GCP platform and my assumption was that google did well optimized and easy to use GCP aps with android - nope. Otherwise in regards to hardware, I really enjoy good quality build and materials feel premium to touch. I had no performance issues so far, batter is giving me a solid day of "work". The only thing I didn't like using it as tablet and reading device, the edges are a bit sharp when you are holding it for a while. (and size is a bit too big for reading). P.S.I bought it on Amazon, since the delivery time on Samsung portal is just crazy. Amazon's was delivered in 2 days, where I'd have to wait for 3-4 weeks here.
