Not "way too dim!", irrelevant comment...... It's bright enough, you don't need a flashlight in your face. It's for indoor use, not for the outdoor. I use it on max 70 % .Very good for this type of Panel. Let's not compare this 4k VA $250 with 4k IPS $1000 or 4k Oled $2000. Go and test one and be careful with settings, don't listen to bad influencers.

so, i really bought this monitor more for work because i needed something with some real-estate and a budget. i picked this monitor to pair with a new laptop (gaming laptop with a rtx2060). gaming was second and productivity was first... well... so i thought... this monitor does a really great job with gaming. i have absolutely no complaints about it other than the one display port and 2 hdmi. i would much prefer display port, but that was very minor overall. the screen real-estate is fantastic. although, now that i am getting the g9, not sure what's going to happen to this monitor, but i am sure i will find a way to put it to good use!

Ce moniteur a une couleur au top , la résolution pour jouer a the crew 2 , ou des jeux plus léger comme Valorant est génial ... (RX 5700 XT) . Mais maintenant parlons téchnologies 2 minutes... Le contraste dynamique fonctionne a merveille , les noirs sont excellent mais peut être un peu trop sensible ( quand l'image de l'écran est complètement noir la souris disparait car l'écran est éteint en réalité ). Ensuite , ma plus grosse déception .. LA FREESYNC ! Fonctionne a merveille en mode ULTIME , mais pas du tous en mode standard. La range est de 40 - 60 pour ultime et 50 - 60 en standard mais ça n'a aucun effet (même en bloquant le jeu a 55 fps)...

The UJ590 image quality is good when it works. However, the power connector is a disaster. The power connection is at the rear oriented upside down, you connect it with an angled coaxial barrel type connector. The connection isn't tight either, it'll click but any slight movement will cause it to pop off. With time, the connector just comes out. If I start to notice flickering, I know the connector is coming loose. I resorted to taping it down, even that is temporary and have to fix it periodically. It's a shame it has this flaw, because the image quality is decent. If you are looking for a 32 UHD monitor, keep looking.

have one of these monitors at work. works great on windows, but whenever i move my vm window to it and resize it, the entire monitor goes all black for a bit and then comes back.. unless i resize the window too large, then it goes all black and stays all black until i make the window smaller. it would be easy to blame the video hardware or drivers, but the laptop is already running the latest drivers, and other 4k monitors do not do this when connected the same way. if you're going to use vms with it, i would not recommend this monitor, otherwise, yeah, it seem to be a great monitor otherwise.

colors will not display well no matter how much i try to adjust them. picture always looks washed out. single toggle to menu rarely works. it usually takes around 15 attempts to get it to work. i use this monitor for 2 inputs and the only way to switch is using the broken toggle. picture frequently goes black for around 30 seconds before continuing. this is an issue reported by many people if you read reviews. monitor will go to sleep and not wake up unless i unplug it then plug it back in. much better products out there. only had this monitor a year and it's ready for the trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The historic strategy game I like to play most (19500 hours) in 4k runs at an average of 245-250 fps fed by my 6800xt AMD GPU. The game detail and action looks great. I also use my monitor frequently for watching live sporting games in a left window next to my right window running other programs. Sitting at my desk at normal viewing distance the 32" just fills the frames of my eyesight and glasses. Its great for working on two spreadsheets or a window viewing and researching topics on the internet. I did recently buy an adjustable desk arm to hold the monitor and allow me to move around the monitor to allow different viewing angles and free up the desk space under monitor formerly taken up by the stand.

essentially i bought second one so that i have two of these bad boys on my desk right next to eachother. mostly i use these for every day use. i play some games occasionally but mostly these are used for everything. i am not doing digital content creation nor am i a professional gamer so i am not too picky when it comes to the fine details. if you want the best bang for your buck, this is a great monitor. freesync makes it epic since it works with nvidia as well, but good luck trying to run this thing at 60+hz at 4k. i would rather game at 4k then worry about my framerate.

De monitor doet wat ie moet doen voor het gamen. Makkelijk aan te sluiten en hij is ready to go. Kleuren zijn goed, en de instellingen die je kan doen zijn ook positief aanwezig door een makkelijke bediening. Eerlijke minpuntjes: - Ik moet zeggen dat de 'game-modus' niet het zichtbare resultaat biedt qua scherpte en kleuren als dat ik er van verwacht had. - Daarnaast mis ik 'opbergruimte' extra aansluitingen op de monitor, denk aan een simpele USB aansluiting. Deze zit er niet op, wat jammer is. Desalniettemin is het een monitor waarvan ik blij ben dat ik hem heb!

It is excellent for those purposes and high enough quality and resolution for the occasional time out for games. Not the highest resolution but good enough that the picture is clear and colors are excellent. My one wish is that I have noticed it did not have speaker capabilities. But then I have ear buds that more than make up for this minor oversight on my part. I highly recommend this unit - it is large enough to have multiple web pages, spreadsheets open and accessible.

The monitor is great; quality samsung product! Except for the power cord. It uses a 90 degree angled round connector that plugs in upside down. This leaves the cord to be angled out and down, away from the monitor. This makes the connection VERY VERY poor. I've had the monitor for 6 months and the IO panel on the back has play in it from the torque applied via the poor power cable design. Honestly, it's ruined the overall product to the point where I'll replace it for something less frustrating. Having to gently twist, plug in/unplug the connector for 10-20 mins PER TIME because as the connector cools, it contracts, leaving the power cord to fall out. It's beyond me why it's designed like this, yet for this alone, I'd stay far away.

this is a budget uhd monitor and as such it has some compromises. its picture quality is incredible, with vivid colors and freesync for games. it only goes up to 60 hz, but that's fine for most casual gamers. then, the stand is too big, you can't move the panel up and down. also, it lacks usb ports, something very handy that many other monitors include. also, it is not hdr, but that's expected for the price. the most annoying thing is that it is not hdcp 2.2 compliant as far as i know so you cannot stream uhd content from netflix.

JOG button is used for power on/off and input selection. Had they used 2 dumb switches for this it would have been an excellent monitor. The JOB button has been made "intelligent" and seems to have a mind of its own. When I power up the monitor I expect it to receive the input from my PC. Instead it comes up blank and I have literally spent 20 minutes on each of 2 days getting it to accept a signal. Selecting the correct source is not enough. It seems I have to power cycle my PC after the monitor is on for it to detect the signal.

The monitor delivers excellent picture quality with a great native contrast ratio and decent black uniformity. I bought this monitor way back in 11/2/2020 at the height of the COVID pandemic. The price hasn't even changed. I just recently upgraded my computer to better play Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Samsung UJ59 monitor renders the scenery in the game beautifully. The maximum refresh rate of the monitor is 60 frames per second, which is more than adequate for MFS. People who seriously play first person shooter games may want more frames per second. My monitor is 3.5 years old and is just like new. I am very pleased.

Problem: I experienced severe graphics lag while using my PC. Since this was my first time optimizing a system, I assumed the issue was mouse input lag and spent a lot of time troubleshooting in that direction. Eventually, I discovered the real problem: my monitor was running at a 30 Hz refresh rate without Freesync. This realization came after much frustration. I was even ready to replace the monitor, extremely frustrated. Solution: I found out from the Samsung U32J59X manual that HDMI input port 1 does not support Freesync and is limited to 30 Hz. After switching to HDMI input 2, I now have 60 Hz and Freesync! The DisplayPort also supports Freesync at 60 Hz, which I have tested. For SAMSUNG: No one is going o dig through manual put that information in box. with big letter "USE HDMI 2"

The 270 cd/m2 spec is WAY off reality! The first thing I noticed when I turned it on is that it was so dark so I immediately started looking for brightness controls - when I turned it up all the way and it still was terribly dim, I realized why the price was lower on this...it's simply unacceptable. The RTINGS site measures its brightness at just over 200, which I would say is accurate. This one went right back to the store - I've never seen a monitor in the last 5 years that is this dim!

The flimsy power cable they shipped this was a problem from day 1. The very first time I plugged it in when it arrived at my house, when plugged the brand new monitor in for the first time, it wouldn't turn on... a series of troubleshooting later, I realized that the cable would randomly connect when I bumped it, so I wiggled around and found a position where the brand new charging cable would actually power the T.v... If it is bumped, etc. the display will turn off. Fast forward to today, the power cord has sat in the same spot, in the same way, since I bought it... as of today, nothing i do will turn on the display, as the cord has completely ceased delivering power. This is after less than one year, with the monitor existing in the exact same spot, untouched. That power cable design is simply unacceptable.

I’m using mine for a play field in a 3/4 size virtual pinball table. Not only are the colors amazing but the gameplay is very smooth (running it @59hz) Funny thing is the last two TVs I purchased and now this monitor are all Samsung. I did t go into any store looking for this brand on any of these buys, I just wanted the best looking at the best price with the right quality and ever time ( Samsung). I can only conclude that Samsung make fantastic products.

I bought this monitor to use with an employer provided laptop for general business use at home and it works great when powered. However the connector used to where the power supply plugs into the monitor is of very poor quality. It does not fit tightly and has to be in just the right position to work. I taped it in place and used it for about a month, and now it will not work at all. I do not recommend this monitor until Samsung changes the connector design.

The new one sits to the right of another 32" 4K monitor that was much more expensive and I see no difference in the picture quality. Loving how large and crisp the display is, however I was surprised to see that the monitor has the Samsung branding on the front-bottom bezel. I picked out this monitor because the pictures showed no branding anywhere on the front... a little bit misleading. Also another thing to note, there is no Display Port cable included in the box so if you use the included HDMI cable you're only getting 30Hz refresh rate.

Cannot run at 60Hz at 4K without momentary blackouts. From the postings on forums it appears this is a common problem. I doesn't work on a fast EVGA card or the built-in Intel graphics. When it blanks out, it interrupts my Samsung 49" monitor. I like the looks of the screen, but this problem, which won't go away and Samsung can't seem to fix, makes it unusable. I love Samsung, and this is very disappointing.

I own and love my Samsung 32" CF391 Curved LED Monitor. Unfortunately, they don't make this monitor in 4k. The UJ590 is a competent 4k monitor but doesn't have the build quality, style or stand functionality of the Samsung 32" CF391. If Samsung combined the guts of the UJ590 and the case and stand of the CF391, Samsung would have a brilliant 4k monitor. That would get 5 stars, the UJ590 gets three stars.

By following the sequence of removing G-Sync under G-Sync menu and setting monitor back to fixed refresh rate and then selecting G-Sync compatible again and going through the G-Sync setup menu options allowed variable refresh rate to work again. I think due to the above factors this monitor will not get a G-Sync certification in future unless Samsung can perhaps address the issue with a firmware update?

Neither the monitor's webpage or user manual make it clear that the monitor does not support HDCP 2.2 - a protocol necessary for the monitor to display certain copyrighted entertainment. This monitor cannot currently support Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+ @ 4K, and in the future any other major streaming services may adopt HDCP 2.2, essentially rendering this monitor redundant.

Several years in use right now. Picture quality is still adequate for this screen. Had some issues with HDMI channel switch to XBox which ended in a fullblown colored noise picture. Only restarting the screen helped in this case. The reason for this is still unknown. Also the screen menue seems to be bit old fashioned right now. But overall still happy with what I bought.

Pracuję na nim od prawie roku. Sprawuje się dobrze. Jednak - ma dwa HDMI i jeden display port. Tylko jedno HDMI oraz Display port umożliwia pracę w 60 Hz. Jeżeli więc chcemy dwa źródła do jednego wyświetlacza to najlepiej Jedno HDMI i DP. Poza tym PiP działa całkiem źle. Obraz w obrazie jest bardzo niewyraźny nawet jeżeli ustawimy go na ćwierć ekranu (teoretycznie FHD).

Monitor stand is completely without ergonomic features. Lacks USB-C port and USB hub, but apart from that this is a great monitor for both personal and professional use at this price point. Panel has good brightness, good color range and of course 4K. Another reviewer states that the monitor can not be used on 4K @ 60Hz on DisplayPort, but that is incorrect.

I bought this monitor in September and 2 months later it started just turning off randomly or going into eye saver mode and flicking off the monitor. Now it glitches every 5 minutes or so with flashing green and purple colors and turning off. Also, the stand it came with is bent slightly so my monitor sits crooked without a wedge of some paper under one side.

I like photography. I used to depend on my laptop's display for photo view and edit. When I got this monitor, I was amazed of how nice the colors are. Excellent monitor for 4K. I've seen many people complaining about the monitor not reaching 4K-60Hz but that's not true, you need to use a DP 1.2 or above to reach 60Hz, i've used DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 and for both options the monitor works perfect. Also verify that your graphics settings or OS screen settings allow you to use higher resolutions

Beautiful monitor that has served me very well using across two devices (gaming PC and work laptop), but the JOG control becomes unresponsive which doesn't allow me to switch between the inputs. It's SUPER annoying. I have to unplug the power to the monitor and unplug the input, and then plug back in with the input I need.

The monitor works well and has great graphics for the price. I unfortunately was in a hurry to get a replacement for my old monitor that bit the dust rather quickly and did not catch that this monitor does not have speakers and lacks HDMI connections. I have done some work arounds and all is good but do wish I had researched further.

loving the picture quality of it and the size, but for some reason i do get occasional screen flickers. it seems to happen while i'm playing minecraft or warzone (haven't played too many other games). sometimes it'll stop if i turn off free-sync, but i wonder what could be the issue. i'm using a amd 5700xt graphics card with 16ram.

I've had this monitor for several years now and the one thing I hate is its ability to wake up. I have have to constantly unplug the power supply and replug in to get it back online.... When it's working its great, it's my multi purpose display for gaming and general work. It's time for this one monitor to go......

Only reason I say it in the review is because no matter the port, plug, cord, etc on the Mac air.. The monitor will always be lower refresh rate than the other monitors. So might be issue with monitor but using it normally. It's perfect!

at first i thought the company i leased it from forgot to get me a 4k 60hz monitor but certain hdmi ports are compatible on it. What I am getting at it is 4k 60hz but you need to make sure you have the right cable and you put in the cable in the hdmi port that supports 4k on the monitor. Its all in the manuals

the stand was wobbly and took up a lot of room on the desk. it also had no height adjustment making the viewing angle a little uncomfortable. i had to purchase a wall mount vesa bracket to correct this. the picture quality in pc mode was washed out and blurry however when set to the av mode it was better.

It was a bit difficult to set up as a secondary monitor in my home office because of the size, but once I figured that out it works great. As per one of the other reviews, I too have experienced the issue with the power plug thats barely hanging on... It causes intermittent flickers, but has never dropped out on me. The really should do a better job mounting the wire. Other than that, its an amazing display! PDP feature is really useful!

Har lige købt den så det er ikke langtidsanmeldelsen. :-) Fantastisk skærm. Lækre farver og stor størrelse. Gik fra en 28" TN skærm fra AOC. Men AOC havde højttalere og kunne justeres op og ned. Nu bliver jeg nødt til at købe et stativ til denne skærm. Men farverne - det er iorden.

I like the monitor but, because the screen sits about 3 feet from me on my desk I find the controls to be in an awkward position, if I put the computer to sleep or want to adjust the workings of the monitor, reaching around the back of the screen with my left hand is difficult.

i'm using this as a secondary on a laptop so i haven't used uhd resolution yet, but it's great at fhd. my only quibble is that the single button control takes some getting used to. i finally got the hang of it but i'd still prefer to have separate power and menu buttons.

nice monitor but when used with a kvm the setup menu nagging you about optimum screen resolution shows every time you change session (as the kvm only supports hd). this is insanely annoying. shows product testers do not use these things in the real world.

Bought it last week works fine but I miss a general color control. When I use it for TV watching the colors are too rich and I can't find a way to reduce. I also wish I could adjust the settings via PC instead of the button

The spec says 3480x2160 with 60 Hz Refresh Rate, but the monitor only gives you 30 Hz, which is slow when you watch movie or play games through this monitor. Why need lie to consumers?
