Please read the Safety Instructions before using your Product. Refer to the table below for an explanation of symbols which may be on your Samsung product.

• If your equipment uses an AC adapter
‒ Only use the AC adaptor provided with your Samsung product.
‒ Do not use the power cord with other products.
• Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a case or similar.
• The slots and openings in the cabinet and in the back or bottom are provided for necessary ventilation. The slots and openings must never be blocked or covered.
• The product should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, or other products that produce heat.
• Do not place a vessel containing water (vases etc.) on this apparatus, as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. (Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing)
• The apparatus must be connected to an earthed MAINS socket-outlet (Class l Equipment only). Or Use only a properly grounded plug and receptacle (Class l Equipment only).
• To disconnect the apparatus from the mains, the plug must be pulled out from
the mains socket, therefore the mains plug shall be readily operable.
• As long as this unit is connected to the AC wall outlet, it is not disconnected from the AC power source even if you turn off this unit by POWER.
• Make sure to rest the AC/DC Adapter flat on a table or the floor. If you place the AC/DC Adapter so that it is hanging with the AC cord input facing upwards, water or other foreign substances could enter the Adapter and cause the Adapter to malfunction.
• CAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

Troubleshooting Guide
a. Unwanted Powering Off
‒ If your product appears to turn off by itself, try disabling some of the product’s energy efficiency functions.
‒ See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the product off after a specified period of time.
b. The product is making a popping noise.
The expansion and contraction of the product’s outer casing may cause a popping noise.
This does not indicate a product malfunction. The product is safe to use.
c. The USB Type-C port is not recognised.
Check the cable connection and the input port.
• Check and make sure that the supplied cable has been used.

An administration fee may be charged in the following situations:
(a) An engineer is called out at your request, but it is found that the product has no defect (i.e., where the user manual has not been read).
(b) You bring the unit to the Samsung service centre, but it is found that the product has no defect (i.e., where the user manual has not been read). You will be informed of the administration fee amount before a technician visits.
Following the repair by a non-authorised service provider, self-repair or non- professional repair of the product, Samsung is not liable for any damage to the product, any injury or any other product safety issue caused by any attempt to repair the product which does not carefully follow these repair and maintenance instructions. Any damage to the product caused by an attempt to repair the product by any person other than a Samsung certified service provider will not be covered by the warranty.
Correct Disposal of This Product (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment)

This marking on the product, accessories or literature indicates that the product and its electronic accessories (e.g. charger, headset, USB cable) should not be disposed of with other household waste at the end of their working life. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, please separate these items from other types of waste and recycle them responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
Household users should contact either the retailer where they purchased this product, or their local government office, for details of where and how they can take these items for environmentally safe recycling.
Business users should contact their supplier and check the terms and conditions of the purchase contract. This product and its electronic accessories should not be mixed with other commercial wastes for disposal.

This marking on the battery, manual or packaging indicates that the batteries in this product should not be disposed of with other household waste at the end of their working life. Where marked, the chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb indicate that the battery contains mercury, cadmium or lead above the reference levels in EC Directive 2006/66. If batteries are not properly disposed of, these substances can cause harm to human health or the environment.
To protect natural resources and to promote material reuse, please separate batteries from other types of waste and recycle them through your local, free battery return system.

The marking on the battery, manual or packaging indicates that the battery in this product should not be disposed of with other household waste. The battery incorporated in this product is not user replaceable. For information on its replacement, please contact your service provider. Do not attempt to remove the battery or dispose it in a fire. Do not disassemble, crush, or puncture the battery. If you intend to discard the product, the waste collection site will take the appropriate measures for the recycling and treatment of the product, including the battery.

Wiring the Mains Power Supply Plug (UK Only)
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The mains lead on this equipment is supplied with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse. The value of the fuse is indicated on the pin face of the plug and, if it requires replacing, a fuse approved to BSI1362 of the same rating must be used.
Never use the plug with the fuse cover omitted if the cover is detachable. If a replacement fuse cover is required, it must be of the same colour as the pin face of the plug. Replacement covers are available from your dealer.
If the fitted plug is not suitable for the power points in your house or the cable is not long enough to reach a power point, you should obtain a suitable safety approved extension lead or consult your dealer for assistance. However, if there is no alternative but to cut off the plug, remove the fuse and then safely dispose of the plug.
Do NOT connect the plug to a mains socket as there is a risk of shock hazard from the bared flexible cord.
IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: BLUE - NEUTRAL BROWN - LIVE.
As these colours may not correspond to the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or coloured BLUE or BLACK. The wire coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or coloured BROWN or RED.
WARNING
DO NOT CONNECT EITHER WIRE TO THE EARTH TERMINAL, WHICH IS MARKED WITH THE LETTER E OR BY THE EARTH SYMBOL, OR COLOURED GREEN OR GREEN AND YELLOW.

Brightness Guide
Our Commitment

In line with the COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2019/2021, all Samsung Monitors ship with a screen luminance less than or equal to 150 cd/m2. The quality and performance of our products are extremely important to Samsung.
While your Samsung monitor meets these requirements, we have included the following information to advise consumers how they may adjust certain features of the display to meet personal preference. But in this case, power consumption can be increased.
Instructions
Samsung has set the default brightness lower than the maximum brightness to reduce this monitors impact on the environment.
You can adjust the brightness of the screen to achieve its maximum output with the below settings:
