Inserting a nano-SIM card (sold separately) (Mobile network enabled models)

Insert the ejection pin into the tray hole to remove the tray. Place the nano-SIM card on the tray and insert the tray back into the tray slot. (only for models with a non- removable battery)
Remove the back cover and the battery. Insert the nano-SIM card into the slot and replace the battery and the back cover. (only for some models with a removable battery)

Pull out the tray from the tray slot. Place the nano-SIM card on the tray and insert the tray back into the tray slot. (only for some models with a removable battery)
Insert the ejection pin into the tray’s hole to remove the tray.

• Ensure that the back cover is closed tightly.
• Use only Samsung-approved back covers and accessories with the device.

Removing the nano-SIM card (Mobile network enabled models)

Slide the lever on the card slot downwards and pull out the nano-SIM card from the slot. (only for some models with a removable battery)

• Use the device in a place without magnetic interference for the device to operate normally.
• Keep a safe distance between your device and objects that are affected by magnets. Objects such as credit cards, passbooks, access cards, boarding passes, or parking passes may be damaged or disabled by the magnets in the device.
• Do not fold the device toward the backside. The device will be damaged.

• Do not press the screen or the front camera lens with a hard or sharp object, such as a pen or fingernail. Doing so may result in damage to device, such as scratches, dents, or screen damage.
• Do not apply excessive pressure to the area where the screen folds. Doing so may result in screen damage.
• The protector film attached to the main screen is a film that was designed exclusively for foldable devices. For the protection of the screen, it is recommended that you do not remove the film. If you remove the protector film, the screen may be damaged.
• Do not apply other films or stickers not approved by Samsung. Doing so may result in screen damage.
• When folding the device, do not place any objects, such as cards, coins, or keys, in between the screens, as doing so may cause damage.
• Be careful not to drop the device on the floor, as it could damage the screen itself or the area where the screen folds.

You may notice a crease at the centre of the main screen. This is a normal characteristic of the device.
The warnings, cautions, and notices above are only for foldable models.

Safety information

Read all safety information before using the device to ensure safe and proper use. You can access more safety information by opening Settings → About phone or About tablet → Legal information → Safety information.

Follow the warnings below to prevent incidents, such as fires or explosions, injuries, or damage to the device

• Your device contains magnets. Keep it away from credit cards, implanted medical devices, and other devices that may be affected by magnets. In the case of medical devices, keep your device more than 15 cm apart. Stop using your device if you suspect any interference with your medical device and consult your physician or your medical device manufacturer.
• Do not expose the device to physical impact or damage.
• Use only Samsung-approved batteries, chargers, and cables specifically designed for your device.
• Prevent the multipurpose jack and battery terminals from coming into contact with foreign materials such as metal, liquids, or dust.
• If any part of the device, such as the glass or acrylic body, is broken, smokes, or emits a burning odor, stop using the device immediately. Use the device again only after it has been repaired at a Samsung Service Centre or an authorised service centre.
• Do not turn on or use the device when the battery compartment is exposed.
• Do not disassemble or reuse the battery.
• The device can be used in locations with an ambient temperature of 0 °C to 35 °C. You can store the device at an ambient temperature of -20 °C to 50 °C. (For foldable models, store the device at an ambient temperature of -10 °C to 50 °C.) Using or storing the device outside of the recommended temperature ranges may damage the device or reduce the battery’s lifespan.

Hearing damage warning avoid loud headset volume

To prevent possible hearing damage when using a headset, do not listen to sound at high volume for long periods.

Icon indicating device should not be disposed of with household waste

This marking on the product, accessories or literature and without the bar on batteries indicates that the product, battery and its electronic accessories (such as charger, headset, USB cable) should not be disposed of with other household waste.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) certification information

Your mobile is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines.
For SAR values specific to your model, visit www.samsung.com/sar and search for your region and device with the model number.
The use of the WLAN band is restricted to indoor use only. This restriction is applicable in: AT, BE, BG, CH, CY, CZ, DE, DK, EE, ES, EL, FI, FR, HR, HU, IE, IS, IT, LI, LT, LU, LV, MT, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, SE, SI, SK, TR, UK(NI), GB.

Declaration of Conformity

Exposure to small particles, such as sand, may cause damage to the device, such as scratches or dents on the screen. (only for foldable models)

• Do not expose the device to swimming pool water or sea water.
• Do not expose the device to water moving with force. A sudden rise in the water
pressure may exceed the guaranteed level of water resistance.
• If the device is exposed to water, wipe it with a soft and clean cloth, and then dry it thoroughly.
• If the device is exposed to other liquids, such as soapy water, oil, perfume, sunscreen, hand cleaner, or chemical products such as cosmetics, clean the device with fresh water that does not flow, wipe it with a soft and clean cloth, and then dry it thoroughly before use to maintain the water resistance.
• If the device has been immersed in water or the microphone or speaker is wet, sound may not be heard clearly during a call.
The followings are only for models with a removable battery.
• Do not open the device’s covers when the device is in water or in very humid places, such as swimming pools or bathrooms.
• Do not open the back cover using wet hands or when the device is wet.
• The rubber seal fitted to the back cover is an important component of the device. Take care when opening and closing the back cover to avoid damaging the rubber seal. Also, ensure that the rubber seal is free from debris, such as sand or dust to prevent damage to the device.
• The back cover may be loosened if the device is dropped or receives an impact. Ensure that all the covers are properly aligned and tightly closed.

Removing the battery

• To remove the battery, contact an authorised service centre. To obtain battery removal instructions, please visit www.samsung.com/global/ecodesign_energy.
• For your safety, you must not attempt to remove the battery. If the battery is not properly removed, it may lead to damage to the battery and device, cause personal injury, and result in the device being unsafe.
• Samsung does not accept liability for any damage or loss (whether in contract or tort, including negligence) which may arise from failure to precisely follow these warnings and instructions, other than death or personal injury caused by Samsung’s negligence.

The notices about how to remove the battery are only for models with a non-removable battery.

It is recommended not to use fixed graphics on part or all of the screen for extended periods. Doing so may result in afterimages (screen burn-in) or ghosting.
