Adaptive brightness sensors on the Galaxy Z Flip5

Closed Galaxy Z Flip 5 with adaptive brightness settings on screen.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 offers 1,600 nits of brightness, making it perfectly usable even in bright outdoor environments. So, if your display is dim you may simply be holding it wrong.

Depending on how you are using your Galaxy Z Flip5, you may inadvertently cover one of the sensors with your hand, preventing adaptive brightness from functioning properly.

While using the Galaxy Z Flip5 in cover screen mode with the cameras at the top, the under panel photo resistor may become obscured by your hand, blocking the adaptive brightness functionality.

Similarly, while using the Galaxy Z Flip5 in cover screen mode with the cameras at the bottom, the light measuring flicker sensor may become obscured by your hand, blocking the adaptive brightness functionality.

To avoid this, always hold your Galaxy Z Flip5 so neither photo sensor is covered, to ensure optimum adaptive brightness.
