I ordered this product knowing that it had Smart features, so naturally I assumed it would be compatible with Wifi. However, when I went to set it up, it could not connect to Wifi and needed to be connected to an ethernet cable to a router. I wanted to use this product in a different room than I have my router, and I don't have a cable jack in the intended room. As a result, these features are worthless to me. I don't understand how a device can have Smart capabilities but not have the ability to be used wirelessly?? We are in 2018... Samsung - I would love to return this product but can't seem to find a return button anywhere on my order even though I ordered this product less than a month ago. Waste of money in my opinion.

I've had this unit a week and while the 4K is a definite improvement over my standard Sony Blu Ray, I'm finding many features on My SonyBDP-S370 I miss. The biggest problem is limited access through the remote. Too many steps to set cc on/off or simply display information. The info screen doesn't stay up for more than a few seconds, and there is no explanation what all the symbols represent. I've looked through all the documentation I can find. I'm still determining if I keep this or return it for a SONY.

This was my very 1st 4K UHD Blu-Ray Disc Player and I love it. After updating it I played a few discs and it's one of the best players I have ever owned. Blu-Ray Disc play very well and the video quality is amazing. I also did buy 2 4K UHD Blu-Ray Disc Avengers: Infinity War and Justice League so I can't want to test The HDR features on the player. Also I like the apps selection on the player via the Samsung Apps Hub. Good player and I rate this a 5/5 !!!

I purchased this to replace my older blu--ray DVD player. Because of my IP I am having trouble updating the DVD player. I love the upscaling feature. My only issue is no LED display for track, time, etc. as well as the super small power on/off light.. I consider myself among Samsung's best customer. Their products are top shelf. I currently own 3 Samsung LED TV's and will not buy any other brand. Thanks for making the best LED TV's on the market.

This player has great image quality when it works but there are two issues. First is that HDR is not turned off often when viewing SDR content via a Samsung TV. So the darks are crushed. Fiddling by turning of HDMI Deepcolor or changing resolution seems to reset this. Second Samsung has for whatever reason chosen not to make the firmware update via USB and only via Ethernet. So if you don't have an Ethernet connection then no firmware update for you.

one of the first reviews indicated there was no way to update the software if a lan isn’t available but that isn’t true. the link samsung provided worked fine for eventually downloading and unzipping into a usb 2.0 stick the software. there’s a slot in the front for the usb stick, plug it in then go to the tv and choose settings and install the software. and voila! blue rays from disney, etc that wouldn’t play now play! thanks samsung!

purchased this player 2 yrs ago and literally only used it about 8 times. remote still works but the player does not respond to it any more. the player does not have a select button so i can't watch a dvd because when it starts up you have to press the select button at the menu to start the movie. i paid up for the samsung but should have just bought a cheaper model if it has the same warranty. i won't make that mistake again.

18 months old. Will not update. All Hassle, all the time. Picture is far inferior to my similar age LG unit in the 2nd room. So in summary, this unit will not play most new movies without an update but updates are not very frequent and usually involve a hard reset and a total do over. Add that the picture is wholly unimpressive, my opinion is that nobody needs to spend money for junk like this.

Très bon lecteur mais il nous faudrait des mises à jour car le film ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD Fonctionne pas dans mon lecteur ce n’est pas la première fois que cela arrive mais la dernière mise à jour à régler certains problèmes mais toujours pas pour ce film cela fait un mois que je me bats avec le SAV pour obtenir une mise à jour ou un appel il n’y a rien vraiment déçu de cette marque

While watching a movie, a black screen occurs every 10 min or so. Very annoying and unpleasant. Tried to update to the latest firmware but via usb it is pointless since the file that you get when you unzip is a MSD file and not a .ruf file and then is not valid once in the player. This is ridiculous. Next step, get rid of my samsung HD player and samsung 4K TV and turn to Sony or LG.

Seul lecteur 4K a ce niveau de prix il dispose de l essentiel: image magnifique mème en upscaling de DVD, chargement ultra rapide des disques, réseau ethernet , port USB. Son design très épuré peut s'intégrer partout et l'absence d'écran d'affichage intégré est pour moi un avantage puisque aucune lumière ne vient parasiter le visionnage des films

less than two years old and not working. blue ray and 4k discs no longer work. support asked a myriad of questions only to suggest “power cycle” as if i didnt think of that. provided a bad link for service twice and then i disconnected (i disconnected accidentally). ill look up the service link using search engine instead.

When I pop in a standard blu ray disc, the picture looks absolutely terrible. The darks are insanely jarring and the picture seems slotchy. When I playback a blu ray on my PS4 Pro, the picture looks fantastic so I know it is for sure this player that looks off.

doesn't seem to want to play certain blu ray discs. no updates since 2019. i thought it might be defective discs or region locked, but the discs play with no issue on ps5.

If you have this unit in an audio cabinet, the lack of back-lit controls is very frustrating. To save a few cents, they left this feature out and makes it inconvenient.

The player will play fine on its own, but when I try to use the remote control nothing happens. I cannot fast forward, rewind or pause. Not a great remote.
