How to join
Step 1:
Students in Grades 8-10 from government-managed science high schools are eligible to join.
Form a group with a maximum of four (4) members, along with one teacher adviser.
Step 2:
Identify a problem aligned with the following themes that you would like to solve with technology: (1) Environmental Sustainability; (2) Social Change Through Sports and Technology; and (3) any local community problem that you would like to solve with AI.
Step 3:
Submit your entry on or before October 26, 2025.

Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow is a competition rolled out globally which aims to empower STEM students to share and realize their ideas, turning them into practical solutions that can create an impact on the local community. 2023 was the first time this contest was rolled out in the Philippines. |
Solve for Tomorrow is part of Samsung's CSR vision of 'Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People'. Our mission is to empower and support the next generation to achieve their full potential and pioneer positive social changes. Creating a better world is what makes innovations meaningful. In order to approach problems in new ways and to find solutions, the next generations will have to be more creative and this is why Samsung focuses on education. |
The competition is open to Grades 8-10 students of government-managed Science High Schools. You can form a team of maximum four (4) students each, and choose one (1) faculty adviser from your respective schools. Teachers/advisers can coach up to 3 teams. |
Each team of four members and one teacher adviser can only enter one entry. But one (1) teacher/adviser can coach up to 3 teams. There will be no limit to how many teams can join per school. |
Teams formed should identify a local community problem, an environmental sustainability problem, or Artificial Intelligence related issues that they want to solve and present solution in either a presentation format (maximum of five slides) or a word document (maximum of 2,500 words). Once entry is finalized, submission is via the Solve for Tomorrow registration form. Deadline for entries is October 26, 2025. |
Teams formed should identify a local community / environmental sustainability problem they want to solve with technology and come up with a design proposal presented via a slides presentation (5 slides max) or word document (2,500 words max). Entries that do not follow the prescribed format / length / word limit will not be qualified for judging. Once entry is finalized, submission is via the Solve for Tomorrow registration form. Deadline for entries is October 26, 2025. |

The Solve For Tomorrow contest is open to all government-managed Science High Schools students in the Philippines from Grades 8-10. Currently residing in the Philippines. Employees of Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation and its advertising agency partners are not eligible to join the contest as well as their relatives up to 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity. |

Stem proposal qualifying round:

After the STEM proposal registration closes, all entries will be reviewed and evaluated by judges from Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO), and representatives from government agencies such as the DOST–Science Education Institute, DICT, DENR, and DOST–CEST, with the presence of a DTI representative. The evaluation will take place from October 30 to November 7, 2025, between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Samsung Philippines office, 7th Floor, Science Hub Tower 4, Campus Avenue, McKinley Hill, Taguig City. |

Announcement of short-listed entries

Short-listed STEM proposals will be announced within two (2) working days after the screening via the official social media pages of Samsung Philippines and notified through mail, electronic mail and a phone call from Samsung Corporation’s representative. |

Samsung reserves the right to verify the details submitted by the participants through the Samsung website to ensure that all details are correct and valid. |
Idea mentorship:
1. |
Ten (10) short-listed STEM proposals will be assigned with a coach from Samsung. |
2. |
Coaching will start from November 16 to 29, 2025. |
3. |
During this period, the team will communicate with their coaches for the proposal improvement, proof-of-concept or mock-up creation, and with a requirement to expand their presentation to maximum of 20 slides/pages for the final presentation. |
Final idea presentation and judging:

Ten (10) short-listed teams will present their final ideas and will be judged on December 3, 2025, from 10:00AM-5:00PM, in Taguig/Makati (actual venue to be confirmed), in person/on-line for those not based in Metro Manila. |
