Terms and Conditions for Home Maintenance Services

These Terms and Conditions govern all home maintenance service requests
submitted by customers ("Customer") for consumer electronics and home
appliances through Samsung's authorized service channels. By placing or booking a
service request, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by the
following terms:

1. Scope of Service

1.1 Home maintenance services shall be performed exclusively by duly authorized
and certified service engineers.

1.2 The service is available only for eligible consumer electronics and home
appliances listed on Samsung's official portal.

1.3 Service requests shall be categorized as either in-warranty or out-of-warranty,
based on the warranty status of the product at the time the request is submitted.

1.4 Samsung shall not be liable for any loss or damage to Customer data arising from
necessary technical repair procedures, except where such loss or damage results
from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Samsung or its authorized service
centers. The Customer acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for creating a
backup of all data prior to submitting the device for service.

1.5 The Customer acknowledges that certain repair procedures may require
restoring the device to its factory settings, and Samsung shall not be obligated to
provide prior notice in this regard.

2. In-Warranty Service

2.1 Customers holding a valid and enforceable warranty shall be eligible for
complimentary maintenance visits and repair services, strictly in accordance with the
applicable warranty terms and conditions.

2.2 No fees shall be charged to the Customer for defects covered under warranty,
including, without limitation, inspection fees, labor charges, and the cost of spare
parts.

2.3 All warranty claims shall be subject to verification and approval by the authorized
service provider, including validation of product details, proof of purchase, and
confirmation of warranty eligibility.

2.4 Any defect or repair determined to fall outside the scope of the warranty-
including, without limitation, damage resulting from physical impact, exposure to
liquids, unauthorized repair or modification, negligence, misuse, breakage, or failure
to carry out routine maintenance (including filter cleaning)-shall be treated as an
out-of-warranty service. In such instances, the end user shall bear all applicable
charges based on the nature and extent of the repair. The inspection findings and
technical report issued by Samsung's authorized service technician shall be deemed
final and conclusive in determining whether the defect is covered under warranty.

3. Out-of-Warranty Service

3.1 Customers requesting out-of-warranty service shall pay a non-refundable
inspection fee in advance at the time of booking or prior to the technician's visit.

3.2 The inspection fee covers only the technician's visit and initial diagnosis of the
fault.

3.3 Following inspection, the authorized service provider shall issue a preliminary
quotation covering the estimated cost of spare parts and labor required to complete
the repair.

3.4 The Customer shall have forty-eight (48) hours to accept or reject the quotation.

3.5 Failure to respond within 48 hours shall result in automatic cancellation of the
service request.

3.6 Upon acceptance of the quotation, repair work shall commence, and the
inspection fee shall be deducted from the final invoice.

3.7 Any revision to the estimated charges shall not be implemented unless the
Customer is notified of the updated quotation and provides explicit approval.

3.8 Based on the technician's assessment, required spare parts shall be sourced
through Samsung's authorized service channels. Installed spare parts shall carry a
one-month warranty, which does not cover subsequent faults, misuse, or improper
handling.

3.9 If the Customer supplies spare parts independently, the repair service shall not
be carried out, as this violates these Terms and Conditions.

3.10 The original service receipt must be presented upon collection of the repaired
device (for walk-in customers).

3.11 The repair shall be covered by a 30-day warranty (for the same defect) provided
by the service provider. This warranty becomes effective from the date the Customer
is notified of repair completion. It is limited to the replaced spare parts and
associated service charges only. Any subsequent repair requiring different spare
parts shall be subject to additional charges. This warranty does not cover any defect
arising from misuse, improper operation, negligence, or failure to follow post-repair
operating instructions.

3.12 In the event the Customer fails to collect the device within 30 days from the
date of notification of repair completion, the service center reserves the right to
dispose of the uncollected unit after the expiry of this period. Neither the Company
nor the repair center shall bear any responsibility for any claims related to such
devices, whether under warranty or otherwise.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 No payment shall be required from the Customer for services provided under
warranty.

4.2 For out-of-warranty services:

The diagnostic fee must be paid prior to the technician's visit.
The full approved repair charges must be paid before the completed
service is delivered to the Customer.
4.3 Payments may be made through the available payment channels. An official
invoice shall be issued by the authorized service center upon completion of the
repair.

5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 The Customer shall ensure that the product is accessible and available for
inspection and repair at the scheduled service time.

5.2 The Customer must provide valid proof of purchase and any applicable warranty
documentation upon request.

Failure to be available may result in cancellation of the service request, and any
diagnostic fees paid (if applicable) shall not be refunded.

5.4 The Customer is responsible for backing up all personal data and removing any
sensitive information prior to service. The Company shall not be liable for any loss of
data that may occur during the service process.

6. Service Provider Responsibilities

6.1 Authorized service providers shall use genuine spare parts and comply with the
company's approved repair standards and procedures.

6.2 For out-of-warranty cases, the authorized service provider shall issue an official
service report and a cost estimate after inspection and upon payment of the
diagnostic fee.

6.3 Repair and replacement of defective products shall typically require between 7
to 14 business days from the date the defective product is received by Samsung's
authorized service center, subject to the availability of required products or spare
parts.

7. Cancellation Policy

7.1 The Customer may cancel in-warranty service requests free of charge, provided
cancellation is made prior to the technician's visit.
