I really like the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The new design is slimmer, lighter, and much more comfortable to hold. The wider front screen makes it feel like a normal smartphone when folded, and the large inner display is perfect for watching videos and multitasking. The performance is excellent. The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

It lasts noticeably longer than my previous Z Fold 7, and I rarely have to worry about running out of battery during the day. I also really like the new anti-reflective coating on the display. It makes a noticeable difference, especially when using the phone outdoors or under bright lighting, and the screen looks fantastic. But probably my favourite thing about the Z Fold 8 is simply taking it out with me. The white version looks incredibly clean and premium, and I’m honestly surprised by how often people ask me what phone I’m using. Almost every time I go out, someone notices it or asks about it because they think it looks beautiful and unique. It might sound like a small thing, but I genuinely enjoy that feeling. It makes the phone feel special, and I’m quite proud to carry it around. This is my first foldable device and to be honest, I've been reluctant to make the switch but boy am I glad I did. The cover display on its own is so useful, I find I use it for every day stuff like emails and answering messages. But when I want to do a bit more, I open the phone and use that amazing large screen. That hinge mechanism is a thing of beauty! Battery life has been solid and is getting better each day as the phone optimises things. On my third charge I had about 35% left at the end of the day. Performance wise, the responsiveness of the display and OneUI is so slick and speedy. Awesome. My one remaining question mark is over durability but that will be answered in the time to come. The device certainly feels solid so I am expecting good things.

I love the fact that the shorter slightly wider aspect ratio fits videos nearly perfectly even when folded. As an engineer myself I appreciate efficiency and the ergonomics combined with the aspect ratio is the best of all worlds. Whether it's scrolling on social media or watching a video it feels right. I've been switching back and forth between my old s24 ultra and this phone and the s24 ultra now feels too long. Definitely not for everyone but the fact that Samsung gives you the option is greatly appreciated. I do not see myself going back to a long slab phone.

It took 8 models of continuous improvement but feel you hit the pocket on this version. The width improvement is beyond good for me as a large man with big hands. I can finally type freely with less corrections needed! I was initially concerned about the loss of height, but after using it for a week it's really no problem, and is more than made up for with the portability and carry benefits. The hinge and opening features are the best yet, and there's been so many across the board improvements to the app and UI features that in many ways it feels like a whole new product line. Nicely done Samsung!
I bought galaxy z fold 8 just 2 days back. Just wonderful. Shaped differently from other mobiles. So well sized. Though it looks shorter than other mobiles, it actually has the same screen size when the fold is opened up to full view. Battery charge seems good as of now.

It’s way thinner and lighter now, so it actually feels like a normal phone in your pocket instead of a heavy brick dragging down your jeans. The biggest game-changer is the new cover screen. It’s smaller, shorter, and wider—almost shaped like a little passport. Ditching that weird, super-tall "TV remote" shape means you can actually type a quick message on the outside screen without constantly hitting typos. It just feels natural in one hand. But when you open it up, that inner screen is fantastic. Because the phone is wider, the inside display opens into a huge, immersive canvas that’s absolutely perfect for watching videos, reading comics, or scrolling through media. Everything looks bright and crisp, and reading digital pages feels effortless. Battery life easily gets you through a full day of heavy use. I'll be straight: I was skeptical this form factor was worth the price. I was wrong. The inner screen is the thing. Photos don't do it justice, opening this up at a desk and having what feels like a tablet in your pocket is genuinely useful, not just a party trick. Multitasking on the inner display has changed how I work on the go. I'm in Dubai, so I'm always moving between meetings, and having two apps side by side without squinting has been a real shift. The mint/green colorway looks better in person than in marketing shots. Clean, understated. Hinge feels solid, no wobble, closes flush. Previous folds I tried had a slight gap. This doesn't. Camera is competent. Not the reason to buy this phone, but it won't embarrass you. The crease is still there. Anyone telling you otherwise hasn't used one. You stop noticing it after a few days, but it's there. Battery gets me through a full day in the Dubai heat with moderate use. Don't expect two days. Would I buy it again? Yes. Is it for everyone? No you need to actually use the inner screen or you're paying a premium for a party trick.

I'm happy I chose to wait on upgrading until this device came out! The experience I've had consuming media on this has been great, where short form videos are the focus on the main screen, and whole TV shows or movies are enjoyable on the large inner screen. One thing I miss between the Z Fold 8 and my old Z Flip 7... flex mode! It was so convenient to prop my phone open to watch something, read a recipe while cooking, etc. I didn't want a big phone like the Z Fold 8 Ultra, so I'm missing out on that key feature.
