Perfect. I have 2 of them. 1 with the built-in heatsink and the other using my motherboard heatsink. Thermals are exactly the same and both are beasts in all aspects. I also have a 1tb 970 evo pro that has not skipped a beat. I sound like a Samsung rep, while wearing a Samsung watch, using a Samsung phone and have 2 Samsung TVs.. (just realising this now).. Heck not to mention building friends PCs and using Samsung HDDs from long ago. I think I disserve a Christmas gift! Back to this product. Not a single issue and benchmarks exceed most reviews.

Used it for less than 2 years. One day simply switch to Read-Only mode. Not usable. Tried to firmware it on many motherboards on all possible OS (Windows, Linux, Mac) - not possible. Current Firmware 2B2QGXA7, tried to firmware with 3B2QGXA7, 4B2QGXA7 and 5B2QGXA7. Extremely disappointed.

Worked for 2.5 years then died suddenly without warning. From reading online the 980 Pro range seems to have a very high failure rate. My Evo 970 has been working for many years without any issues. I am thankful that Samsung at least offers a decent warranty for these drives.
