What is the Media volume sync feature?

The Media volume sync is a new Bluetooth feature which has been released with the Samsung Galaxy S8.

 

If the connected Bluetooth device supports Absolute volume control, the Media volume sync feature remembers the volume level set before the Bluetooth device was switched off or disconnected.

 

Note: The Media volume sync feature can only be used by one Bluetooth device.

 

A notification will be shown if the user has been exposed to loud sounds for a long period of time. 

 

How to setup Media volume sync feature

 

● Step 1: Go into the Settings menu → Connections.

Step 2: Tap on Bluetooth.

Step 3: Tap on the More options located near the top right of the screen.

Step 4: Tap on Media volume sync.

Step 4

 

Step 5: Tap on the switch to activate the Media volume sync feature.

Step 5

 

Note: Check to see if your Bluetooth device is compatible with the Media volume sync feature prior to use.
